I like that, seems an honest and sensible lad. I am really glad we still have him about!
-
Again Lol Silvestre and Mensah! How does even considering a 35 year old CB make sense?! Or one who has had more injuries than games in the last couple of years?? Vanden Borre is apparently a right back which is one position we are stocked up on.

That's pretty much what I was going for, I really hope there is an allowance for (god forbid) relegation as Adkins, even after a difficult year in the prem, would still be the best man for the job after a year in the champ. I don't really see who else could come in and keep us up if Adkins went and I don'e see who could come in and rebuild if we went down. There always has to be pressure on Adkins to perform, but he should be in a considerably safer position than the media is making out...

Worse than sacking Pardew really, Adkins has taken us up twice and I quite like his odd style. The only thing that would make it better is if the next day we announce some amazing manager, which on reflection could only really be Pep Guardiola, anyone else would be a bit of a let down. Can't imagine Cortese will sack Adkins without having someone better lined up...

There's a couple of quality bars around Angel, big fan of the lexington on a saturday night, only downside to quite a few pubs in London are they are either very pro or very anti football shirts. Many places operate the policy of go away if you are wearing one in many a place after games. They never complain if you take off the football shirt and put it in your pocket though... (the least hassling way of getting round the this is not a football pub line, especially if the place is less crowded)

Oooooo! I am enjoying these video blogs, even if they are making me want the new game to appear quicker...

Apparently it is too sensible an opinion to hold on the internet. Stating Scholes was the real game changer for United and that we tired/dropped far too deep when he came on is heresy, when quite clearly Adkins ruined it by subbing tired players who were out the game and facilitating the dropping back further (Punch and Lallana were both dripping back into the box to be second left and right backs at this point).

Some pretty good news in there, Mannone hasn't looked too bad so sticking Szczesny straight back in could play to our advantage. Cork pushing to come back is excellent news as is Fox pushing for fitness for the game. Gaston and Maya should be helpful additions too! Just hope Mayuka can play on the right instead of that silly idea of sticking him in the middle at Lamberts spot.

Points would be amazing, but realistically we just need a good performance where we don't drop off like we did against United. Any points would be a luxury for this game, what we need is a good performance from the team that is sustained for the full 90 mins. Get that properly under our belts for Villa at home and Fulham who we MUST take 6 points from (with Everton away being something we would like to win but should ideally take a point form) to get the season moving in the right direction.

Jenkinson vs Adam Lallana or Gaston! Can see that being an obvious target for our attack...

Nice one with the videos! Trying to keep up with them for some others who love FM! So pleased multiplayer finally uses steam! Steam generally works so well it would be silly not to get fully into what it can offer. Everything pre FM10 is power pc on Mac going through the emulation layer (might actually be FM11 they abandoned ppc) but they stripped that out of osx in Snow Leopard because ppc stuff takes up a lot of space and is hardly used (though it was installable as a download, Lion and beyond has a definatly no more ppc policy). It is possible to emulate it again, but a pain without just rolling back to Leopard/SL.

Apparently the commentary team have been watching a pierless performance from England with an unlucky goal from them...

Call up Harding and play him on the right of midfield?

seems like the most sensible thing to shout at the tv! Of the United fans I have spoken too Cleverly seems to divide opinions nicely between amazing and useless so some people get what a waste he is...

Newcastle (H) To Be Moved Due To Europa League

Poo! Need to study these updates more closely in the future. Had all the TV changes till the end of this month sorted in my mind and was convinced Fulham at home wouldn't be a tasty tv fixture. -

JOKE! When did Fulham get moved to Sunday! -
He was a mistake on football manager the last few seasons, always went on a free the year I got someone silly promoted to the prem and always was useless! Real life assessment, if Michael Owen signed a contract before he did, he must be rubbish!
-
It'll be on ITV, the BBC tend not to like to mention that...
-
It's Arsenal so 60,000 seeing as we are their feeder team........ Serious answer, I think the allocation is about 3k and that's sold out so about 3k. (can't remember if it is slightly more or less than that for next weekend)
-
Got mine today, took a while to come but at least its here. Arsenal really could have splashed the extra pennies on some reasonable sized tickets! Not like they are hard up or anything...

Right now, 200/1 on an England 7-0 win

Completely out of depth isn't quite the same as being completely out of depth as a left winger... He has looked terrible out there and at 7m is quite quickly becoming a massive joke, but hopefully someone will corner Adkins and have a decent word about the last time we had an obsession with playing players vastly out of position... At least we didn't sign Buttner, and nearly as importantly there's a comment at the bottom questioning why Borini at £10m wasn't on the list! Very much a joke transfer so far...
-
No. He looked massively off the pace against Stevenage, genuinely terrible in open play. He was running about chasing the game like he was playing space invaders badly (shooting where the aliens where not where they were going to be). It is a better option to run JWP, Steven Davis and Morg into the ground for 90 mins than risk Chaplow coming on, not being involved at all then getting sent off. Playing Lallana horribly out of position in the middle is more effective than Chaplow at the moment.
-
Lallana and Punch were at it a little against United, not loads though just when throw ins were happening. Just want to see more of Lambert terrorising premier league defences! Almost embarrassing to watch "world class" defenders having no answer to our friendly scouser...
-
Market Value™, of our players Morg has commanded a big fee a. because he qualifies as home grown, b. is quality and c. is at a club that is no longer a selling club. So £12m is the very minimum I would expect Arsenal to come along with in January, especially considering what Chamberlain commanded.... 2 prem goals has clearly seen Lambert's price jump massively (especially after Jewel bid 825k for him at the start of last year), so seeing as Fletcher got 10 prem goals last year and was valued at £14m I think Lambert is probably about £23m, upfront from Liverpool on January the 1st. This game could go on all day, but as Wolves showed this summer, it is a sellers market. If you hold the player contracts (for more than a year mostly) you can call the shots on stupid transfer prices.
