Weird to see Hoedt in there, as he's the one that's been rumoured to have the worst attitude of the loaned out bunch, didn't do himself any favours with the social media activity after Newcastle thrashed us and certainly didn't do himself any favours at Celta Vigo, as we all know he's not very good. Hopefully, it isn't an indicator of us fancying going for the cheap option again in trying to improve him, rather than bringing someone else in either. Although, on a similar note it's good to Cedric at least in there, as he still has something to offer in being the backup to Valery. (Just don't let him mark crosses). Sad regarding Lemina, as he's an entertainer when on song (as rare as that is) and one of very few in the team who can pull off something special. But, this team shows the decision regarding his future. Definitley need a new CM though, a Schneiderlin/Wanyama type, just not one of those two as their motivations seem to have gone. Lastly, bloody hell, Guido Carrillo. What a terrible signing.

He's Van Dijked them.

Bournemouth got £6m for Lewis Grabban from a Championship club. He's older than Austin and never scored a goal for Bournemouth. Probably on a lower wage though.
-
Why don't other clubs just sell their best players before the window begins like we did with Van Dijk?
-
We should try and make a move to bring Beattie home too. He's coincidentally been at Leeds and Birmingham when Chris Wood and Che Adams have had the best scoring season's of their careers.

Fonte was on the decline when we sold him, despite his career stock being high following the Euro’s win. Same as Cedric’s. Yeah, Fonte was a good servant through the League One and Championship years and looked good next to Lovren, Alderweireld and Van Dijk, but I don’t think he’d look any better in this current defence and at his current ability than what we’ve got now. Fortunately, we’re not currently discussing Fonte’s name alongside Austin’s, Long’s, Forster’s, Elyounoussi’s, etc.... Of average players who we’ve setup for life with their current contracts.

Borussia Dortmund have just signed Thorgan Hazard and Julian Brandt for £22m each...

"The south coast is Bournemouth's".... We've had a pathetic season and they've had their plaudits all season, calling it a "great" one, yet there's just four points between the two sides and the possibility of us still finishing above them. Levels.

On the couple of occasions Friend didn’t jump to his whistle when a Spurs player made the theatrical fall he just let play continue yesterday, Hojbjerg gets in on the act again and is booked. Another case of a rule for one...

Shame it took this long to realise that Austin and Yoshida (especially) are better than what's been put out in recent matches, but hopefully that's it now.

Fingers need to be pointed towards the ownership again (how many times have we said that in the last couple of years?). Can't spend a penny in the January transfer window, but lets splash out on flights to Tenerife, where accommodation and training facilities will also need to be paid for alongside plenty of other things. Even Cardiff, who haven't received any Premier League money as of yet would have had a new £15m striker in their ranks alongside Leandro Bacuna and Oumar Niasse today. How did Che Adams get on today? Or, was he just another name like Mepham, Walcott, Mawson and even Paul Mitchell fed to the media? We've left ourselves depending on the worst striker in the league in Shane Long to keep us up. Hasenhuttl has also got to learn and quickly in this ruthless league. He's had his manager bounce, but now he needs to sort it out. Koeman was versatile with the 3/5 at the back formation, seemed to know when to play it and when not to and more often than not he got it right. Yet, Ralph plays it every week, meaning we pick up just two points from a run of fixtures against Crystal Palace at home, Burnley away and Cardiff at home. Just not good enough. Recent weeks has been like watching a Puel/Pellegrino team with the meaningless passing in the centre circle allowing the other side's defence to regroup. Not quite as bad as a Hughes one just yet though.

Fox sounds like he's having a terrible game, any need to change Harding from Tuesday?

How come Esajas didn't play tonight and Carter did, even though we needed a winger with Puncheon and Lallana both out?. Your itk is just bs I reckon, Tyson was meant to sign 24 hours a go, he missed Carter, he also missed that Butterfield was flying into Switzerland to join the squad (surely he would of heard that if he get's told everything else) and he also missed Dickson and Richardson. Weren't you also the person making up the Stock rumor in January? about how he told you he was coming on facebook?. Are you known as 'Rocket Swaine' on 606?, because your a bit like him. -
Anthony Pulis would stand out to me as well, if i found out he could kick a ball.

"I tried to get hold of Stern but he is currently out of the country," added Burley." Stern John in delaying contract renewal till the last minute? Shocker. Butterfield, good solid signing. Last season we had Ostemobor and James at RB, now we have Butterfield and Richardson, good improvement.

Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain on South today in a few minutes....

Met Oxlade-Chamberlain last season, was a nice guy, seemed very professional for a youngster, i remember meeting Matt Paterson and he was up himself a lot (and he's not even that good). -

The only one he got right was David Connolly, and even then he only said a striker will sign for us in the next week. He's already said we're signing Theo Robinson and Richard Chaplow this window, which i haven't seen anywhere. Also said he received an email that we were signing Simeon Jackson. He just makes up rubbish basically and most of the people on 606 seem to believe him every time, plus he only posts during transfer time.
