  2. The article was literally only updated a short time ago, live from the event. FourFourTwo sponsor the awards, so there may well be, but I'm sure Herbie will let us know (on SaintsList at least) in due course.
  3. Herbie will be well known to many of you, either via Saintslist, or his work at St Mary's as a tireless Tour Guide. Well Herbie was nominated for the above award, to be decided at a star-studded Football League Awards evening tonight in London... and he won! http://www.football-league.co.uk/flawards/news/20100314/fan-of-the-year_2246530_1992249 A throughly deserved award and I have no doubt many of you will agree! Well done Herbie!
  4. Surely the best thing to do, with all this play-off talk is simply ignore the table, stop making predictions or putting yourself into a specific mindset about it, and just go out and try and win every game. That's all we can do... if it happens, it happens, if it doesn't, so be it. But it'll be down to so muhc more than just our results, so to try and predict it is a bit of a lottery IMO. If we play like we did today, who knows? Just try and do that every game, and see what happens.
  5. Showed some real grit and determination to cope with their inevitable pressure in the second half, although they still failed to really test Davies, which says a huge amount for our defence who played superbly by the sounds of things, and of course fully helped by the rest of the side. A great team performance. Results like Tranmere will happen, but the performances today, vs Huddersfield and Walsall, and in other games recently, clearly show me that AP is moving things in the right direction and all the momentum is taking us in the right direction. In many ways, holding on for the win today, despite not scoring the goals we should've had, is a greater achievement.
  6. FIVE minutes stoppage time?!?!?!?!
  7. Phew, corner curled out of play by them... that helps.
  8. No, sorry. Not unless she learns how to use camera equipment and how to shoot football in the next two months. Oh, and she says 'You're an idiot'.
  9. lol, well I will still be there taking photos instead so a guard of honour would be nice.
  10. I should've licenced that bloody pic, would've made a fortune.
  11. Not heard of Avira... what's so good about it? AVG seems to do the job quite nicely, but if this is better then I'll look at it.
  12. May I be the first to say: Shut up Summers!
  13. Was it those same unkind folks who call you a 'striker'...?!?
  14. Ooh, I like it. It's a 'situation'. Just put Lee there once he pays me!
  15. Bearing in mind I've already paid, then I reckon it should be my decision, and clearly Pulis is not up to my standard, so he won't be getting a look in! Robsk/Rabbit, put them in touch with me and I'll liaise with Mr Grant, seeing as I've already paid, whoever wants in will need to pay me ideally.
  16. OK, if anyone else is interested in playing, now's your chance. I'm having to pull out, so if someone wants to come in and replace me outright, then go for it, contact me, or Steve via the email in the original post.
  17. Jigsaw perhaps? That would kill more time at work.
  18. You are. Just not the one you wanted to make.

  20. Wow, that's some arrogance right there. Success is gained over more than just 4 games. We have played superbly well in 3 of our last four games, and on the face of it, it would seem that we are looking at becoming successful from here on in. But it is still way to early to claim any kind of moral high ground. As things stand, it looks to me that Pardew has gathered together a good mix of players and has got them playing really well. What we now need to see is some consistency, and also to see if we have strength in depth if injuries come along. Neither of those things have yet been crossed off the list, and whilst I fully endorse the fact that we should be optimistic based on how we've played recently, it still doesn't mean we're the finished article, and is most definately not any kind of indication of 'instant success'. It is short-term success, which we all very much hope will become longer term, i.e. to the end of the season, and beyond. But your gloating is very much misplaced I feel. And the abusive tone (from both sides to be fair) doesn't really help anyones argument either.
  21. Heard good things about Plusnet, never had them myself. I'm with BE, which is part of the same network as O2, and I'm very happy with them. Their customer service is excellent, and line sppeds are excellent too. Currently connected at just under 17mb, although real world speeds tend to max out about 15mb when connected via Ethernet, and about 11mb over wireless. At the value end, they now do an 8mb for £7.50pm, and I know people who have this who are very happy with it.
  22. Indeed, this polarising of views is completely unrealistic. I was one who said we should not *expect* play-offs this season, but that doesn't mean we shouldn't *aim* for them. I simply expected to see consistent improvement and if things went well then of course you adjust your aims. Which I did. Expectations can and should change depending on the progress made, so I really don't see the point in all this harking back to before the season and trying to point score based on it.
