Also flies in the face of Danny Fox, Dan Harding, and I guess Ryan Dickson and the Academy lads.

Hi guys, for a bit of fun I am running a Christmas quiz, consisting of 5 Christmas Questions and 45 Football Questions. As I am running it across SaintsWeb, Not606 and Twitter/Facebook, I have placed the Quiz Questions on my Blog with an answer template. Fill the template in and comment on the article, as comments have to be moderated, I will not publish any to prevent cheating. You do not need to be registered to comment. On the close date I will post a league table of all the entries. Have fun, please don't cheat, and good luck! http://connorarmstrong.blogspot.com/2011/12/christmas-quiz.html

Fair play to Jos, seems to have a good sense of humour and an ability to take stick and laugh at it.

Not sure you read the OP's starter.

http://soccernet.espn.go.com/columns/story/_/id/996024/palmer:-reasons-for-optimism-at-southampton?cc=5739 "The role of Cortese is clouded a little by his media image as a comical buffoon, yet his passion and drive for perfection have been at the forefront of all that Southampton have achieved since the Liebherr takeover transformed the club's ethos." Bit harsh, he doesn't help himself sometimes but he is far from a comical buffoon. Enjoy.

Today shows why we should have signed James Beattie
Saint-Armstrong replied to Paul Chuckle's topic in The Saints
Is this thread a joke? Beattie is at Sheffield United, in League One. He's not playing as he is unfit, and he's only on a 3 month deal there. He couldn't have played today, and shouldn't have. We do however need another striker. -
"Arsenal city tonight - then 11.45pm train to Southampton to get this josi deal wrapped up." - Carl Thomas, SEG Agency - representatives of Jos Hooiveld. http://twitter.com/#!/CarllthomasSEG

Portsmouth Owners Go Into Administration
Saint-Armstrong replied to Saint-Armstrong's topic in The Saints
I hope it means that this returns: -
"Published on Tuesday 29 November 2011 14:02 CONVERS Sports Initiatives, the owners of Portsmouth FC, are in administration, The News can reveal. Accountancy firm UHY Hacker Young have confirmed they were appointed as adminstrators on Friday. Peter Kubik and Andrew Andonikou, who were administrators of Portsmouth FC in 2009, have been appointed as joint-administrators. More details to follow as soon as possible..." http://www.portsmouth.co.uk/sport/po...tion_1_3292526 (feel free to move to Lounge if you need to)

I can certainly agree with that. Talking of my nan isn't so bad, but seeing her face is perhaps slightly different. Still at least the club will come to a compromise and allow us to use it away from home!

I agree with Steve, wayyyy too much if people want to do it whenever he touches the ball.
-
He never says he doesn't like it, what he says is: in reply to: @stief87 does it put you off? Steve replied: no not really, but I tink a chant has to stay original and surprising, no? After being told by a fan they really like it Steve replied: yeah it is, when I come on, or do something nice or score! Not when I make a one-two....;-) Stop twisting what is said to fit your own needs, he just feels it is over used.

With a large crowd I hope to hear "Can you keep up with us!" or/and "You can't keep up with us!"

Just watched Poyet's Press Conference, here are the main quotes to summarise: *Asked about team news and injuries* "We need to make a deal. I will answer questions but not injuries. I cannot give away any info to the opposition." "Gary Dicker and Tommy Elphick (are out), all the others are training but some may not be in contention." "It is not a normal game, it's a special one. They are a Premiership club and are spending a lot of money to get back (to the Prem)." *Why is it Special?* "Because of what was said, and last year there was rivalry. But we beat them over 46 games, which is an achievement." "We are now on the other side. Nigel will feel how I felt for 6 months. Everyone wants to beat the leaders. With their record at home, blah, blah, blah." "I do not believe that one game says who is better. England is not better than Spain, but England won." *Asked about what Saturday's result may show* "Winning or losing to Southampton does not say who is better or worse over 46 games." "This is a nice game. Two weeks ago must win, now it is not." "But right now, now Southampton are the best team in this league. By far." *Asked about Palace and Southampton in comparison* "To the fans the Palace derby is more important. For me, Southampton is. Because Southampton are a better team than Palace." "This is the biggest game so far. Bigger than West Ham because the leaders is always the biggest game." *What do you think of Nigel Adkins?* "I know him well, I did my Pro Licence with him. He's a great man and has done a terrific job. He would win 49 out of 50 competitive games." "Unfortunately Nigel had Brighton last season." "He had only one problem. Not his style or his tactics or his players. He was not better than Brighton." "They play good football. That's why they are top of the league. Whether top or bottom I always say, the table never lies and people who doesn't think that is true because they believe in, I cannot say... Father Christmas. Don't put that." *Why have Southampton been able to carry their form over?* "Because they played 46 games in League One with Championship players." --END--
