Either way, much too clunky, all feels a bit square and the text has got smaller (how does that help anyone?). And if that's your defense, why are other teams players valued more highly? 19 YO John Marquis of Millwall is worth more than Lallana, Fonte and Fox, and is just £200k behind Cork. It's stupid. Whoever sorted our stats out needs shooting... "If it aint broke, don't fix it."
-
Don't like it at all! Too clunky and rigid. Also Saints are chronically under-rated, Rickie Lambert £550k ? Lallana £1m ? And we play in all white according to the tactics board. Awful. At least the budget has been increased.

I've got to say, I think he's better than the last guy. At least he doesn't dance and shout at the Northam Stand. And he reads the lads names properly.

Indeed so! I quite like standing but I can cope! As long as the atmosphere is good!

Trying new sections around the ground, have been in Block 40/41/42 and on the half way line Kingsland side. What is Block 38 like guys? Atmosphere? View? etc. Cheers

My team choice: Davis; Richardson, Fonte, Hooiveld, Harding (if fit); De Ridder, Hammond, Cork, Lallana; Do Prado, Lambert.

Sorry guys, also Commo on 5live extra.

Cortese out to sink the Ex-Saints Charity?
Saint-Armstrong replied to docker-p's topic in The Saints
I vote for lock the thread, can we have a poll? Anyone else want this locked? -
Matt's son Mitch has now begun Tweeting: "You have no idea what Cortese is like. Ask Francis Benali. He's driven him to the point of despair. #corteseisscum" "Further to the Cortese argument. Dad can't say wt he really thinks. I can, the man is a sociopath and is only interested in himself." "Whatever his lies and PR company want you to believe he doesn't have the best interests at heart. He sacked Pards cos he's not a yes man."

I'm sure some of you may remember that some months ago Matt Le Tissier set up a Twitter account, which was confirmed by other Sky employees, as well as Matt's son Mitch. Well today the account became re-activated, as Matt appeared to try and send the fans a message on his side of the story: "For the record i never have or never wanted to have free tickets from sfc hang your head in shame Nicola" http://twitter.com/#!/mattletiss7/status/117674943105335297 I think this is totally pathetic, and both parties are better keeping quiet. Obviously Matt and Jeff will say that Nicola started it by mentioned freebies but there we go. Just wish all this silly squabbling would stop and they could act like grown men rather than children in a playground. Thoughts?

Here's the video for those who didn't see:

Well that's very different. It's not a matter of life and death... It's much more important than that.

Southampton are leading the field as they begin to trial Hawk-Eye. FIFA will be visiting in November to observe Stage One of the Trial Process. Link: http://www.guardian.co.uk/football/2011/sep/22/bolton-wanderers-debts-gary-cahill (see half way down)

http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/14974664.stm Apparently they have an "army" of fans? Don't like the look of those two, does anyone else think they seem a bit dodgy? Cortese all the way...

People on SaintsWeb quoting Religious Preachers over a football chant? Oh dear...

Jos impressed me today. Mobile and good in the air, likes to play out from the back too. It's early days but if he carries on playing like he did today I would sign him up, he and Fonte look solid.

Singing "The Saints are going up" in September.
Saint-Armstrong replied to Colinjb's topic in The Saints
I like to think of the whingers standing in front of the crowd, baying for them to stop and screaming at everyone because they want to be totally politically correct and accurate. -
Nigel Adkins' Appointment - One Year On
Saint-Armstrong replied to Saint-Armstrong's topic in The Saints
I don't think Nigel running off and leaving us is an issue. He was at S****horpe for years and I am certain he had opportunities, Adkins wouldn't leave unless it was a top ten/twelve club. -
Nigel Adkins' Appointment - One Year On
Saint-Armstrong replied to Saint-Armstrong's topic in The Saints
Well if you have/had a season ticket you get your monies worth, average of 2 scored and only one home league defeat! -
It is one year to the day since Nigel "came into the building" and there's been no looking back since, now seems a good time to reflect on the stats: ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- Games Managed = 53 Won = 37 Drawn = 7 Lost = 9 Goals For = 111 Goals Against = 45 Goal difference = +66 Goals Scored Per Game Average = 2.1 Goals Conceded Per Game Average = 0.9 Win Percentage = 70% Seasons: 2010-11 = 2nd (Promoted) 2011-12 = 2nd (Season Ongoing) ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- With all the broken records along the way, including our best start for 76 years, 12 straight home wins, and only 2 defeats at St. Mary's under his leadership (one of which was against Manchester United), he has pushed the team that Pardew assembled to the next level, got out of them what Pardew could not and then added to that quality. We look fitter, faster, stronger and united and play an attractive and expansive style of football, we entertain the crowd, and we are winning games. I no longer give up if we go 2 down, I always know we can do it, when we went 1 down to Forest, and went behind at Leicester, I never once panicked or felt like giving up. What a great first year we have enjoyed under Nigel, and I hope we will be seeing many more with Nige at the helm. Thank You Nigel Adkins. (Also a huge well done to Nicola Cortese and also Les Reed, who I understand brought Adkins to Cortese's attention, having led courses Nigel was on. If Les does nothing else, I thank him for giving us Nigel and the great season we had.) And the Saints Go Marching On, On, On..... Together as One!

Yeah, can confirm he did say that.
