Superb. Though in fairness the Free French were on Sword beach and there was a lot of co-ordination with the Resistance.

And this has what to do with Saints, exactly ?

A question. Is the USA more, or less racially divided as a result of an Obama presidency over the past 4 years ? I mad a quick scan of the papers this morning for images of the election day in the US, and for me the racial division between Obama and Romney supports is very, very pronounced. The whole notion of Obama as the first non-white US president was very noble, well-meaning, progressive, but imo its created a mess in that the US has gone in the opposite direction. I cannot help wondering if Hillary Clinton would have achieved more.
-
In what way ? I dont tell any of you how to support the team.

Thats a very good question. You got me thinking. Our impression of NC is that after this string of results, NA would be out on his arse, right ? Hot-blooded ruthless businessman sees business failing and makes changes at top. But it hasnt happened. I know from personal experience that Austrian/German/Swiss mentality on this sort of situation is to stay loyal and persevere for a very long time (perhaps too long) in the hope things turn round. So I am wondering if someone from the Liebherr family has expressed an opinion on how things are going.

Apparently Harrsion Ford wants to reprise his character, after saying for decades he wouldnt be interested. Carrie Fisher and Mark Hammil are apparently considering a reprisal of their roles, though considering the state of them nowadays I am sure thats been simply prompted by the media and their own self-image.

There have been regular periodic calls for Matt Oakley to return on here over the past few years. IMO, we already have one midfielder capable of putting in an Invisible Man act (Schneiderlin), and we dont need another. My main beef about Deano and Billy is that werent even given the chance to try and up their game for this level. And whats replaced them is sh*te.

Amazing how this glib comment keeps rolling off everyones tongue. I am of the opinion that they would not have done worse than we have now in the form of Steven Davis, for example.

Four more years of Blair-like governance for the US. All fart and no sh*t. Four more years of obsessing over Asia and negelct over Europe. Four more years of asymmetrical trans-Atlantic relations. Four more years of US mis-treatment of its closest ally because of a colossal chip on the shoulder of Mr. President. Four more years of impotent US governance due to the Republican majority in the House. Obama is a f**king useless public speaker without his little glass screens in front of him, as was proven in the first televised debate.

Good post. Articulates the reasons much better than my efforts.

Very good article, but the key word for me there is "finite".

Goodbye PL, hello Championship. Well adrift by Xmas. Just so long as NC realises that.

I wish we had a Jimmy Case still. He would have had a few players up against the wall by the throat with their feet off the ground by now.

This is a great thread. Especially like Jack's post. Personally I think we came closest to the 80s feeling in the previous 2, maybe 3 seasons following survival. This season has seen a return of business-as-usual
-
I agree with all the sentiments you express, except the one I've highlighted. Does this make me a crap Saints Fan ? I find these threads, where one of you thinks they have the right to lecture the rest of us about how we support our team, exceptionally tiresome.
-
We've earnt the right to be here, but it doesnt feel right

Good post St. Marco. But part of me is simply past caring. Maybe the grunge of the Championship is preferable.

Yes, this. Like Golden Balls, I am glad NC doesnt hog the limelight like Lowe did.

Adkins now 2nd favourite for Blackpool job

Hoddle is very good at tactics and organisation, and has the clout to stand up to Reed and Cortese. He will do things his way. Yes, he may well use us, I content that the first issue is to rescue this season and worry about the rest of the bullsh*t later. I also wouldnt be so sure about coming back up quickly; I find that level of complacency astounding (as well as remarkable arrogance ignoring our own recent history). Have we learnt nothing from last time ? I dont know who you are, and you are of insufficient interest and importance, for me to expend energy considering if you are also a prat or not. -
And not forgetting his strange comments after the Coventry game. Seems he was already losing control of team issues and we werent listening properly. Nevertheless, he has decided to work like this for the past 5 months, so a large share of the blame is still his.

And when/if the results dont change ? Should the tea lady be worried ?
-
Yeah, me too.

Glenn Hoddle.

Superb, Hatch. Thanks for the laugh. A pity that our summer transfer activity was approached with the same level of competence as this statue. Ian Brennan is a world renowned wood sculptor. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ian_Brennan Who the f**k thought he had a clue with bronze, I'll never know. EDIT: I dare someone to edit that Wikipedia entry.
