It's good in principle but needs to be much better implemented than this. How we can see 3 replays of something on TV but when it cuts back to the live feed the ref is still discussing it with VAR I don't understand. The video ref SHOULD be checking every incident seconds after it happens, regardless of whether the ref calls for a review or not. At the moment it seems like he is sat there with his thumb up his a*se until the ref calls and then 'errrr... hang on a sec, let me have a look'.

The City end looked packed out to me.

If we're including tonight's game in this, Arsenal fans seem to be dressed as red plastic seats tonight.
-
That's the one, was a penalty right at the end.

Did anyone else go to Colchester in League 1, I think it was in Pardew's season? Everyone was calling for the ref to call of the match, partly because of the thick fog and freezing weather but mostly because we were 2-0 down.

Reading away in 2008 when we got one of the most unexpected wins ever through 2 BWP goals was pretty nippy. The winner for me has to be Leeds away just before Xmas in 2009. Snograss with a belter in an otherwise awful game. I think officially it was -7C.

This is not the greatest thread in the world.

That's a pretty good advert for changing our setup IMO, even if it does mean dropping him.

If Lukaku can look useless when isolated by a static midfield who wont get within 30 yards and fail to run beyond, then I don't see why people would expect differently of Carrillo. Gabbi has been crying out for someone to play off, Carrillo is crying out for someone to play off him... Hey, lets play Long and Redmond!
-
McC Cedric - Stephens - Hoot - Bertrand Lemina - Hojbjerg Sims - Gabbi - Tadic Carrillo But it wont be.
-
It's alright Les, we didn't need to replace Van Dijk.
-
Redmond ahead of Sims or Gabbi Romeu ahead of Hojbjerg

There isn't one. When every angry nutcase in the country has access to high caliber assault weapons, you've just got to sit there and watch your kids die every week. So long as they keep their right to bear arms and protect themselves from those pesky redskins, that's all that matters.

I have never met 'Staurt' McManus. Hope this helps.

Just blow a load of pepper through the air vents. One sneeze and there'll be a tidal wave of sh*te. A poo-nami if you will.

TBF he wasn't exactly comparing it to Malawian children dying of A.I.D.S. On a slight tangent, we went to Disneyland Paris last year and they've basically just plastered a bunch of Star Wars posters, stickers and music over Space Mountain. The ride itself was still decent but that part of it was pretty naff.

If MLG was any character, I'd say the ARP warden fits best. Perhaps a better thread would be Simpson's characters as there's more variety to choose from Whitey Grandad - Grandpa SOG - Hans Moleman Turkish - Krusty Shurlock and Fry - Patty and Selma MLG - Skinner The9 - Comic book guy Sour Mash - Moe Heisenberg - Lionel Hutz Lord Duck - Texas billionaire

Just going to repost what I said in another thread:

Katie Price seems to be making a bit of a thing about internet trolls. I guess it's a great way of keeping her irrelevant life in the tabloids, whilst simultaneous distracting attention from what an awful person she is and making her look like the victim. Having said that, those tweets are abhorrent and idiots like that deserve to be named and shamed.

We have a squad featuring McC, Bertrand, Cedric, Hoedt, Hojbjerg, Romeu, Lemina, Tadic, Gabbi, Yoshida and JWP and we're in the relegation zone. The rest may be average at best but f**k me, that squad should be top half.
-
Given that we already had a cup final last season, if we got relegated AND lost to Wigan, would you still be happy overall?
-
In which case relegation is of no consequence, so I'll say Cup win. I agree, more trophies would be great but it's not really an embarrassment. When I meet fans of other clubs, be it at games or otherwise, I tend to chat about recent games, recently players, current form etc. The only fans I hear talking about stuff they won 20+ years ago are Scousers and they just bore me TBH.
-
Recently though, we're not much different from most clubs our size. Taking the 'big six' aside for a second, Swansea, Boro, Blackburn, Leicester, Wigan and P*mpey have won a cup in the last 20 years and only 3 of those in the last decade. Everton, Villa, Derby, Forest, Wolves, Newcastle, Sunderland, West Ham, Stoke, Brum, Bolton, Norwich, Fulham, Wednesday, Sheff Utd, Leeds, QPR, Reading... nothing in the last 2 decades.

I think that's the most optimistic post I've seen in a long time. Firstly, who is this young, passionate, English, Premier League quality (I assume you don't intend to sack him when we get promoted) manager, willing to come to a relegated Saints with half a squad? Secondly Austin will likely be injured (if he stays), JWP and Hojbjerg will almost certainly leave. Thirdly, you're going to mix our youth team with a a bunch of other kids and somehow get promoted again? I don't take issue with people wanting a trophy but let's not pretend the Championship will be some swashbuckling adventure straight back to the Premier League. I would chose survival, not because the Prem excites me in itself but because I'm worried about years of 2005-2009 era football if we do go down.
