  1. If it was, that's the team MoPe would play.
  2. McC Cedric Hoedt JS Bertrand Romeu Hojbjerg JWP Gabbi Tadic Guido Not rocket science, although I fully expect 10 possession keepers and Long.
  3. A similar thought crossed my mind too. A couple of mind bendingly sh*te teams are going to stay up this season.
  4. So he's decided to give strikers who can score goals a try. I must say I'm surprised, as playing a useless pace merchant against a defensive team sitting deep seemed like a foolproof plan.
  5. No, it doesn't prove anything. Nothing MoPe has done, or will ever do, at Saints will change the past and what I saw under Puel. His position wasn't untenable but the pressure on him stemmed purely from the teams he played. In the beginning people accepted the low tempo football, mixed results and squad rotation because of the busy fixtures but once Puel had tamely navigated his way out of Europe, things just got worse. I remember belting performances from the likes of J Rod and Clasie, only to see them dropped from the match day squad for the next game. Playing for a 0-0 at home to Hull... f**k me sideways!

  7. 2/10 Mostly because of the CB situation. A decent replacement for Virgil and it would have been 7. Promes or another attacking player of similar quality also needed for the full house.
  8. Ha! Honestly hadn't seen that reply when I posted.
  9. There should be enough in Carillo, Gabbi, Austin, Tadic, Boufal, Redmond, Sims and JWP to chip in with a few goals.... should. I'm far more concerned about our defence. We have apparently replaced Fonte with Bednarek and Virgil with Hoot.
  10. Okay, I'm going to call it first - Hi Glasgow!
  11. This. I can count the number of Puel games I actually enjoyed watching on one hand. By the end of the season we were playing for 0-0s at home to some bang average teams and aside from the cup final, we never really got close to beating one of the big teams.
  12. I'd have picked him ahead of Long. I'd rather try an unknown quantity with pace than persist with Shane.
  13. Fairly obviously it wouldn't.
  14. Keeping a player who obviously wanted to leave didn't exactly work with Virgil did it. I liked Pelle and he still seems to keep an eye open for Saints, so I hope he doesn't end up with that shower of sh*te. Having said that would be a typically West Ham signing - Big wages on a short term stop gap, just because he happened to look good at another Prem. club for a while.
  15. I'd settle for 2 or 3 goals TBH, think you're being a bit optimistic.
  16. What is the crowd singing from about 1:00 onwards. Obviously it sounds like YNWA, is it them trying to rally their team to score 2 in 2 minutes or some p*ss take from our fans?
  17. 3 sheets to the wind in an apres ski bar in France, went nuts. Can’t begin to imagine how it was for those in the stands.
  18. I thought it was when we were about to sell someone in January (Niemi springs to mind).
  19. Great, now stick him up front and have Tadic, Gabbi and JWP in behind.
  20.:lol::lol::lol: Don't even care about the relegation fight, great assist Virgil.
  21. If Liverpool had 10 Luis Suarez', they'd sell 10 Luis Suarez. If they were all refusing to play or sign a new contract because their agents convinced them bigger clubs were interested, they'd be selling to.
  22. Just £10m per goal over the last year and a half then. Les, if you're reading this I'm available on a free and will happily sit on the physio table for £80kpw.
  23. He does at least offer intelligent running, finishing ability and some understanding of the offside rule. Not saying that Gabbi has been good, far from it. I'm saying he is the one with the capacity to improve, based on past performances. Long will forever be the 5 goal a season, handsome Brett Ormerod he has been his whole career.
  24. Speak for yourself.
