  1. If you're referring to The Man with the Golden Gun, I'd say that was one of the weaker films in the series. It's only saving grace was the truly wonderful Christopher Lee, playing arguably one of the best Bond villains of all time. The scenes with Britt Ekland and the insufferable JW Pepper were pretty poor. If I was going to go full geek and put the Moore films in order 1. Octopussy 2. For Your Eye's Only 3. Live and Let Die 4. The Spy who Loved me 5. Moonraker 6. A View to a Kill. 7. TMWTGG
  2. Is no more.
  3. One would assume there would be a high proportion of children at an Ariana Grande concert. Just sickening really.
  4. It's not that playing for a club like Saints will stop you getting in the England squad. Is more that playing for a big 6 club will guarantee your place in the squad, no matter how poorly you perform.
  5. Really? A man who failed comprehensively to keep Sunderland up, when Fat Sam, Di Canio and Poyet all succeeded. A man who took Man Utd from Champions of England to 7th A man who took Real Sociedad from Champs League contenders to 16th
  6. Part of me is curious as to what MS could achieve given time and resources to build his own squad. The other part thinks he just didn't do enough at Hull and despite an upturn in form, ultimately they bottled it big time. I'd like to think we've been observing better options abroad.
  7. We had a bat in the Northam once.
  8. Isn't our record for starting away from home in the Premier League something mental, like 13/16? Watford at home this year but then Newcastle, Liverpool, West Brom, Man City, Villa and Leicester all away before that, from what I can remember. I'd just like to avoid a newly promoted team away as they tend to be well up for it. Spurs away would be good, catch them cold whilst they're still getting to grips with Wembley.
  9. If Virgil's current injury turns out to be the end of his career and Saints cancel his contract tomorrow without paying £0.01 in compensation, he'll still have earned 5 times the cash I will ever see in my life time. That argument carried weight once upon a time, when Tom, D*ck and Harry from Woolston were playing for us, but not any more. I can see why players leave for big clubs and more money, it's blindingly obvious. I just don't buy the woe is me, sop story Fonte came up with when he left.
  10. Like it or not, he's our top assister. Not saying he's that good, just the best we have.
  11. Think we'll leave it a good week, so it doesn't look too brutal. I'm going for 10-11am a week on Monday (29th I think)
  12. Everton aside, Sims has done nowhere near enough to warrant a place in the team yet. If he is starting next season, we really are in trouble.
  13. Boufal, Austin and Hojbjerg. Hope this helps.
  14. With a transfer window coming up and a fair bit of gardening needed in our current squad anyway, what direction should we go with our formation. There's the obvious solution, copy the winners and go with 3-4-3. I personally quite like it and feel it would solve a few of our problems, most notably having 2 out and out strikers, which has to be better than our current plan. If Austin and Gabbi can put enough pressure on opposing defences it might force them to go back to the keeper and play it long, which is to our advantage with 3 CBs on the pitch. - - - - - - - - - - Forster - - - Yoshida - - Virgil - - Stephens Cedric - - Romeu - - Hojbjerg - - Bertrand - - - - - - - - - Tadic - - - - - - Austin - - - Gabbi Obviously that depends on who stays and goes.
  15. I think I've been more patient than most with Puel and to give him credit he had much less resources than Koeman did last year. Has he made the best of what we've got though? No, not by a long way. The Hull game was what turned it for me. They're such a poor side, especially away from home and we just looked like we weren't even trying. And for that reason, I'm out.
  16. Big offer - Sell, although I can't say he's done anywhere near enough to warrant that kind of interest Otherwise - Keep. He's a useful option to have. Inconsistent but on his day devastating. One of those who could be doing a lot better were it not for our dreadful style of play. If we can get him in and around Gabbi next season, with the right tactics, they will do well together.
  17. Saints at home all season - 17 goals Spurs last 2 away games - 13 goals
  18. I'm not sure what the dog is trying to achieve.
  19. I just wish I hadn't bothered with the Arsenal game, I could also have bought the Ryobi 18W cordless hedge trimmer.
  20. Nope, Flymo 1000W Rollermo. That's a stock photo but I'm going to take my new wheels for a spin as soon as this season crawls to a halt.
  21. I decided to buy a lawnmower rather than a ticket for this match. I regret nothing.
  22. Is Long better than Ormerod? Is Yoshida better than Claus? JWP better than Oakley? Davis better than Marsden? It goes on.... Boufal/Anders Tadic/Fernandes Bertrand/Bridge We didn't have anyone close to Romeu but we don't have anyone this year consistently as good as Niemi, Killer or Beattie. I'm not sure this squad is that much better, a couple of individuals aside.
  23. Went on the OS to buy tickets and they wanted £42 each and they're not even in a prime location. For a meaningless game against Stoke, they can f**k right off.
  24. 8th in the League and a cup final makes for a rather obvious comprising but looking slightly deeper WGS and co. - 43 Goals - 46 against - 52 points CPs Red Army - 41 Goals - 47 against - 46 points For argument's sake, let's suppose we bet Stoke 1-0 tomorrow and we reversed that 1-2 home defeat to West Brom. Points, GF and GA would then be completely identical, without any real departure from how we've actually played this season. Baring that in mind, was that season really all it was cracked up to be? Perhaps it is looked back upon fondly, simply by contrast to some of the dross that was served up in the seasons preceding and following. Will Puel, in spite of current opinion, be looked back upon as the man who simultaneous guided us to a cup final, despite a European campaign, whilst maintaining a top half finish?

It's one way of not paying council tax I guess.
