  1. Getting fairly well involved.
  2. Even before we just scored, I'd have to disagree. We didn't exactly come flying out the gate but we've been alright. Villa fans really not happy now. Come on Saints, let's turn this into a cricket score.
  3. Think he said it was a relief to be relegated, or something along those lines.
  4. Never heard such venom being aimed at the home team and in the 2nd minute.
  5. A minute in and we haven't scored yet. Lowe out!
  6. You're ruling out a 26-0 defeat this afternoon then. Such complacency.
  7. That'll do. No excuses, I expect J Rod, Long and Tadic to rip holes in this lot.
  8. You're at Barasti? Oh f**k.
  9. Highly doubt it, unless it was somehow proved that the club were involved in doping.
  10. 2-0. Stoke on the beach.
  11. Man City 1-0 against Stoke. Sort of good news if anyone gives a sh*t about finishing 8th or 9th.
  12. Anyone watching Soccer Saturday? Merson's rant about hair styles was priceless.
  13. Whereas Aston Villa...
  14. Tadic fits that description best. Just look at what he did to Sunderland last year.
  15. I'd say he was more 'second choice to Wanyama' personally.
  16. The general consensus seems to be that this years new recruits weren't as good as last years. How would you rate their performance overall? Wins Virgil van Dijk - Easily the best of the lot and winner of our POTS at a canter. As brilliant as Toby was, we haven't really missed him this season Oriol Romeu - Has looked a decent player whenever I've seen him but hasn't really formed a partnership with either Clasie or Wanyama. Could be a very strong player with a decent player next to him. Maarten Stekelenburg - Did a decent job filling in for Forster. Not as good as FF but a far better stop gap than Kelvin or Gazza. Would like to keep him as our back-up next season if we can agree a reasonable deal. Draws Cuco Martina - Undoubted a limited player but was only ever brought in as back-up, for a relatively low few. Has done fairly well in that regard but I wouldn't really want him as a first team regular. 'That' goal has to be worth the fee on its own. Cédric Soares - Looked lightweight initially and off the pace of the Premier League. On the plus side he gets forward well to support the attack. Reminds me of Clyne in his first season, there are promising signs IMO. Jordy Clasie - Hampered by injury at the start and yet to really assert himself on the team. On the plus side he's a hard worker and has put in some sporadic decent performaces. Charlie Austin - If only he was fit. Let's see what happens next season. Loses Juanmi - You can't help but get excited when you sign a 22 year old Spain international but he hasn't made any impact, even in cup ties against lower league sides. Steven Caulker - That Liverpool game...
  17. I think it's been a little better than expected really. Having lost Clyne, Toby and Morgan, with Forster injured for half the season, there are many who thought we'd struggle. We missed Clyne and Forster at the start of the season but apart from that we've coped quite well. Supposing we beat Villa and Palace but lose to City and Spurs, we're only 3 points off last years total. Overall I'd say we've had a pretty solid year. We can talk about the form of Mané and Wanyama but then you'd also have to consider the injuries and poor form of Carroll, Shaw, Hazard, Benteke, Ivanovic and a fair few others.
  18. #RIPPrice now trending on Twitter.
  19. I know. They're the only two I can think of.
  20. Joan Rivers and Linda Smith spring to mind.
  21. Why are you comparing us to Leicester? Yeah if you want to be 5 points clear at the top of the league you have to do better but we're competitive enough away from home. If we set up to score a load more goals we wouldn't have the 3rd best defence.
  22. So do Man Utd, they got 6 last year too and qualified for the CL. City only have 7. Last season we got 23 points away from home and got into Europe. Right now we have 21 and will eclipse last year with a win at Villa. 3rd best away defence too.
  23. It's not been great but 5 or 6 wins is reasonable enough. I think we've been weak at home against the better teams personally. Take Saints out of the table and we've lost at home to 5 of the top 10 and only won twice. We've still got City to come but if we lost that then its W2 D2 L6. Need to be better at home when the big teams come to St Mary's.
  24. Er... We did. Man Utd, Chelsea, Stoke, Sunderland and Swansea. If we beat Villa that's 6 away wins in a season, which isn't too shabby.
  25. This is like watching our cup game. 13 minutes to get 2 more.
