Not really. I'd have said singing "we hate gays" is the very definition of homophobia. Hating your neighbour is different, you might have a perfectly good, personal reason for doing so.

Surely it can't be for the "we can see you holding hands" chant. That barely touches the boundaries of homophobia, especially seeing as most of them aren't actually gay in the first place. There were a few blokes in the Northam singing, "you're just a town full of faggots" which I'd say crosses the line and actually is offensive.

Cardiff do tend to bottle it spectacularly, let's just hope they do the same this season. There is no reason at all to fear Saints will do the same. We will falter at some point, no doubt about it. Happens to every team in every division. It's recovering quickly and putting in a strong end to the season that wins leagues. Our defence was very solid yesterday, but I can't honnestly say they were troubled that much. I was amazed at how poor CMS looked after he tore pieces out of us at London Road last season. £3.5m?
