  1. The lower leagues are protected by the 3 o'clock ban which is probably the main issue attendance wise. I do wonder if eventually they'll experiment with premier league having a different kick off time altogether, enabling the wider sort of amazon multi tv coverage/money deal.
  2. Bournemouth reminded me of us versus 10 men Spurs, slow possession but nothing incisive. King is an important player for them to be missing though and solanke is a carrillo bad replacement. They'll probably pick me up and have another run of wins.
  3. Watched palace game and a bit of the man city before i got bored. Quality was excellent.
  4. Never heard of them but any group that gets their jollies having a go at other fans won't be missed.
  5. Well you included 15/16, their first season up wasn’t it?when they accrued 66m of that. Most teams do that, accessing tv money whilst their wage bills probably are lower. Then there’s the fact their wage bill is probably lower than ours. Then there’s the fact they aren’t owned by GAO.
  6. According to transfermarkt -35m 18/19 +37m 17/18
  7. Watford still had to sell someone for 18m in order to be able to bring in Sarr. Saints bought £52m, sold 24m this season
  8. We have consistently tried to address it just without any success.
  9. Adams obviously has a poor memory, if he’s forgotten how poorly he played despite being given far more games.
  10. I don’t think he lacks ability. However he does have the John stones syndrome of just switching off or doing something lax. Might as well stick with him and bednarek & see if some sort of partnership can develop. As for yoshida, I like him but he seems to have carried the can for Leicester in ralph’s Eyes and with him being out of contract soon I wonder if we’ll See him again in a saints shirt.
  11. Felt a bit sorry for our players yesterday, it seemed they were being booed by sections of their own fans for large part of first 70 mins.
  12. I’d assume Armstrong will still be out injured. McCarthy Valery Stephens bednarek Bertrand Hojberg jwp Boufal djenepo Ings obafemi
  13. Result gives Ralph some credit to stick in the bank till xmas at least.
  14. Yeah it's got to the stage where just building a partnership with 2 of the centre backs is the only option as all of them have their moments. Don't get the PEH stuff, thought while not perfect was much better. I'd get valery in for cedric and boufal for redmond.
  15. Massive victory. Curate’s egg type of performance. Also hopefully the win will make st Mary’s less toxic atmosphere. Don’t agree with new handball or use of var but hey another fortunate for us in its blindness. Horrible last few minutes of saints reverting to trying to sit deep and almost conceding again McCarthy, nice to have a keeper who can make saves. Not the perfect keeper but decent. Cedric(poor), why we are starting someone 8ntent to leave over the talented saints product confuses me. Bertrand, nice to have a left back. He’s got a decent football brain. Bednarek/Stephens ... suppose they might as well build a partnership given alternatives. Jwp, well that goal is why he is in the team I suppose. Better intensity than earlier this season. Hojberg, playing a lot better Djenepo, so raw but fantastic to have a guy that’ll take on players rather than pass back Redmond... well he’s trying but very off form. Time yo be an impact sub. Obafemi. Some nice link up play but hardly given the service. Ings, class above. Boufal, has to start over Redmond. Long.... awful finishing. I suppose he had an impact but level of missing open goals is surely intolerable
  16. Why slow it down and pass all the way back & end up handing them almost a golden opportunity
  17. He’s linked up quite the few times him and ings have actually been given the ball by their teammates
  18. Sacked in the morning chants surely coming unless there’s dramatic change
  19. Positive lineup for a huge game. Good to see Adams back on the bench.
  20. Curious comment by Ralph. It was nice imo to see him finally get a chance and do so well. Hopefully this won't mean we'll have to wait as long for another game.
  21. I don’t see how signing Carrillo did anything but hinder our progress season after season. Equally I don’t see not overpaying for Adams in Jan meant we accepted relegation. Looking across all last january’s Prem Signing the Only the good ones were 2 loans & one of those was outrageously expensive
  22. I disagree. The reality is that players in Jan go for vastly inflated fees. Then there's the fact teams don't want to sell their better players in Jan. So its far more likely you'll end up buying the sort of dross we currently have plenty of or even worse another Carrillo.
  23. The notion that we could spend huge amounts of money effectively in Jan was always ludicrous.
  24. The notion that we could spend huge amounts of money effectively in Jan was always ludicrous.
  25. Can't say i'm confident. Finding a way to help out teams in trouble seems to be the Ralph approach this season.
