  1. We're gonna lose 3-2, we're gonna lose 3-2...
  2. It's definitely confidence now, not ability. Something needs to happen fast, otherwise it'll get worse. I'm fearing we'll emulate Derby's last season in the Premier League at this rate.
  3. It's a big call dropping Davis and hope it pays off. I've been hoping Davis could replicate his form against Leeds away last season.
  4. The majority of the team has been with the club since Adkins took over. He has taken these players up two divisions to the pinnacle of English football, something which, it could be argued, many thought they'd never taste as quickly as they have. Surely they'd be open to new tactics/suggestions? They are professional footballers not petulant children. And for the most part, we've played pretty well under the new system. It's just mistakes and lapses of concentration that has let us down.
  5. How can Adkins have lost the confidence of some of the players just four games into a Premier League season? Some of the tripe posted on here is farcical.
  6. Can anyone tell me the difference between Butland and Gazza, considering both plied their trade at League Two clubs last year?
  7. Ah, Jason Dodd. What I'd give to have someone like him at RB now.
  8. ADkins has to stay. But I've just seen his post match interview from yesterday's game and he brings up our tough start to the season and that our season starts against Aston Villa. No Nigel, it started against man city, no excuses. And you conveniently forgot to mention the Wigan defeat too. We've had opportunities to get points on the board and haven't. I do think we were unlucky against Man City but we got it wrong against Wigan and Manchester United and he needs to take blame for that. Arsenal just steam rollered us and I don't think many other managers (and the fact we have some sort of hoodoo over us against the gunners away) would have overseen anything different. We should have had points from united and Wigan, end of.
  9. Adkins is clearly a great manager, having guided Saints to successive promotions, and taking unfashionable S****horpe up before that. But how is he supposed to adapt in the Prem? What makes a manager perform in the highest league? Lambert and Rodgers did ok, so calling for Adkins to go already is ridiculous.
  10. Do you think he'd star in our team, based on what people saw last night?
  11. Yeah, I saw S.C.U.M there. The Horrors were stood right behind us. The festival republic stage was the best. Iceage before them were good and Theme Park rocked, too.
  12. ...and rock bottom of the table with no points. Everyone's saying 'it's ok, we'll be fine if we carry on playing the way we are', but football doesn't work like that.
  13. Unthinkable. However, if the worst happens, will it be catastrophic for Saints? We were so close to folding in 2009 and the turnaround has been miraculous. Yet, with the cash we've spent in this transfer window and the investment into the training ground/academy, what would happen if we dropped a division? Would the Liebherr family be satisfied with this? I just can't see the club being self-sufficient and I fear it could be a major hammer-blow to our aspirations.
  14. I'd love to see Del Piero in a Saints shirt. Though I'm sure he'd rather live in Sydney.
  15. I thought I had that sinking feeling on Sunday.
  16. That sh*t cray.
  17. Great player and I hoped he would've been given more of a chance to show what he can do in the Prem. Good luck, Billy. Just hope we stay up this year. If not, i hope you stick with us to fire us back.
  18. It's over, chaps.
  19. Maybe he's itk. How do any of you know what's going on?
  20. Odds on him being this season's most offside player?
  21. This thread sums up how wonderfully woeful this place has become. Thank goodness it only represents a minuscule portion of our fan base. It's borderline psychotic at the moment, so lord knows what it'll descend into if we have a poor season.
  22. No he doesn't. He wants to play for a club who can bolster his bank balance. If this does happen, and I sincerely hope it does (intent yada yada etc), he'll be soon off once it's clear we're not challenging for honours. Clearly he's not stupid.
  23. But that's football though. When has it ever been regimented with the same outcome? It's not always about tactics or which team has the better players. Luck plays a massive part.
  24. They will school us.
