  1. England's No.2 and Englands GK coach from the last world cup. Plus he is bound to get game time over the next year.
  2. Personally don't think he has a leg to stand on. Its the last game of the season and the chance to see the team off for the summer.... Its a special occasion in those respects and you pay for it. Or you get a season ticket.
  3. That is totally wrong bud, the co-pilot can (and did) override the electronic door code and prevented the pilot from entering. (If the leaked reports are to be believed). The pilot returns and knocks on the door, there is no answer but co-pilots breathing can be heard until crash... Pilot can be heard hitting and then slamming the door as he tries to violently get back into the cockpit and passengers can be heard screaming over an alarm. Co-pilot overrode the door which is possible for upto 20min apparently, he didn't need that long. Looks like suicide, but you have to accept that there are far easier ways... and it displays a real level of mental imbalance to take 150 people with you. Have to wonder if his family were being blackmailed or something. Fact is we will likely never know why we did it. But can't believe someone would leave their loved ones with that legacy no matter how suicidal/selfish they were. Hopefully we will find out that this isn't a selfish suicide as it really will be a shocking outcome.
  4. I'm sorry what? It has been in the football league trophy (insert appropriate sponsor) since 1992.... before that it was the associate members cup back until 1983/84. I'm not passing comment on how long its been called the JPT, but the competition existed long before that. That or I am horribly wrong and the carling cup is a very recent competition only
  5. I seriously ****ing hope not. Should have gone for david marshall in the summer and better do this time. Failing that, Heaten looks a reasonable keeper. Gazza has apparently been coming on along for the U21's, growing in confidence and stature. Imagine that for next season. Peeps would have heart attacks.
  6. All the best Fraser, despite what many say you have been pivotal and it is beyond me how many on here have managed to say that your broken knee cap is the fault of your own indecision.... Still they are the first to say we have no quality back up keepers and either way I think you'd be the first goalie in history who decided to take an extra touch and spontaneously brake his knee cap as a result
  7. Interesting. But regardless he was out limping in the New Forest. I'll let the experts in Knee Ligament damage decide what that actually means.
  8. I believe he held on to the very last minute in the hope there would be some money, A CLUB(!!!) and a contract.... there was and he turned around. Don't dress that up any differently. You only have to look at his quotes at the time when he could see the "save our saints" collections and his appreciation at the fans pitching together to help keep the team and club going.
  9. Despite certain posters claiming otherwise, I at least have never encountered it at a saints game although I will a knowledge that we must have closet racists as fans, simply a fact of society.
  10. Lol Max, Shurloch (oh wait, just realised he's spelt it with no capital letter) smashed off the park in one simple sentence. I'd tend to ignore shurlock guys, very prone to taking offence and lashing out in kind. The other week I was accused of being a plastic for not going to the Chelsea game despite having a season ticket and having played on the Dell's pitch as a nipper.
  11. I really don't think you're listening.... Nobody should look forward to a trip to Liverpool
  12. He will play in the prem and do a good job for someone... Our fans have spoken though... the same ones who wrote of Mane
  13. Don't thinl i've seen you make a positive post and all you do is spam sarcasm, negative ballarks or spout sh1te about ISIS. Welcome to the ignore list. (You're not Bazza or glasgow in disguise are you?)

  15. Dont think that true or fair tbh. The best u18's get promoted to the u21's resulting in an u18 team that is normally one of the youngest in the league with 15 and 16 year olds playing. In addition, our nippers join when they are 7 or 8 years old (e.g. hallet, shaw, chambers etc), if their 18 now then they joined in roughly 2005 to 2006. We didn't go tits up for another 2 years. Not to mention that two of our star academy kids are in this age group in Sims and Seager
  16. I dont think people really appreciate that cross or the quality of Chelsea's play. Costa starts on the outside of the area and runs in to the end of that cross during the balls flight. Its doesn't hang in the air as some say. Its kicked and Costa is not there. He then runs onto it and attacks it into the back of the net. Our defence and keeper had no chance. The cross, timing and quality of movement were inch perfect. From the second that ivanovic kicked it and costa started running it was a free header on goal. Watch it again, look at costa's starting position and watch how he just runs into the spot its going. In comparison our defence push in and then out to track the play. By the time they know where the ball is going costa is already has the momentum and position ahead of them. It is always easy to blame the keeper, but this was not his fault. That cross was perfect as was costa's movement. If you want to blame anyone then pick any of our defenders who failed to read the cross as well as the oppositions key threat and left him unmarked for the header... because seriously, the oppositions only target man getting a free header is the defences fault before it is the keepers. But if you watch that section of play and almost psychic play between hazard, costa and ivanovic I find it hard to blame davis for being slightly out of position and the losing out to an already set Costa. Most pundits I've read seem to agree that Forster couldn't do much about it also.
  17. Best Goal - Not going to be a common suggestion..... but Dean Hammond vs Leeds in the opening game back in the Championship.... It was an emphatic finish and we never looked back from that kick onwards!!

Whenever I watch the u21 highlights he seems to be played as a mixture of CB and RB tbf
  19. I saw JayRod in The Lamb in Nomandsland on Saturday... Whislt he was out and about driving/walking he had a very noticeable limp on him which was giving him difficulties. I doubt we'll see him any time this season tbh, not an expert on these kind of injuries by no means, but if he is having trouble walking I can't see him running.
  20. That is harsh, putting Pelle on actually helped to relieve the pressure to a degree. Before he came on we were camped in our box, once he was on we started to get at their goal on the break. I agree whole heartedly that playing with speed suited us today, but that doesn't mean we shouldn't put Pelle back in necessarily. your comment shows a lack of tactical appreciation from a "fan" determined to knock one of out own despite a great team performance and giving no credit to the impact of pelle what so ever. The irony being that Long has a longer goalless streak (according to sky)
  21. Wow in addition, we have a fair few footbally connections with Seattle Sounders.... who knew http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jimmy_Gabriel
  22. Further review of seattle sounders and their colours leads me to believe that it could actually be them (maybe Southampton saints is to be a new NFL franchise ) Interestingly, the sounders are the best supported team by a long long way in MLS.
  23. I assumed it was portland timbers... Ralph has managed them previously. who the feck are seatle sounders?
  24. "I want, i see i get" "You should be glad to be my friend" etc etc, both found within 2 min of looking at his posts..... Says a lot about the lad frankly
