  1. No it really doesn't. They become ours when the window opens in July. We will be starting pre-season fixtures within 2 weeks of that and euro league in july as well. So it costs us 2 weeks wages before they play a game, not a couple of months. Not to mention that those signings will be undergoing fitness training and team bonding in those 2 weeks.

  3. So.... you suggesting we wait until after Morgan and Clyne have left and the whole world know's we're sitting on circa £40m of dosh. Honestly our fans are totaly skitzo when viewed as a whole. Either we leave it to late, or we do it to early... I for one think we're doing some really nice business early. No reason to suggest we won't get some in later in the day. Unless people think we have a transfer budget of circa £15m-20m and we'll be banking the vast majority of the clyne/morgan transfers and tv money
  4. Not sure if trolling? But do you really think we need to sell clyne for £15m to afford a £6m rated championship player? If you think our budget for the summer started and ended with the £5m juanmi deal then I am slightly alarmed
  5. Not being funny, but with the exception of the GK's i'm not far off betting that an 11man team from that squad (under Southgate) would beat a seniors team under Woy....
  6. The only two of these that aren't on Trip Advisor are D and E. If someone is travelling from Australia to Southampton then they're going to look at TA at some point. Nice idea ofc. But you may as well just copy it from a source that is used and shared by thousands rather than a few football fans on an internet forum, especially considering the physiological basket case on here
  7. The only people I have heard not like it exist on this forum. Everyone else seems to really like it, including most fans from other clubs. I think part of it is that people just need to have a moan about the kits regardless.
  8. Slow down, you think those are bargin basement players? Claise and Cedric are both very highly rated and will cost the best part of ~£30m for the two of them. Similar for Gueye. Juanmi sounds like a younger Long for less than half his price. None of the first 3 are "basement" signings, but all would represent fairly good deals. Can't go wrong with Juanmi.... I sware our fans have a delusional view of what we can afford, and who we should target.

  10. He will cost them at least £10m-£12m at tribunal as a result of Tottenham's accepted £12m bid. Plus Liverpool pay rather exaggerated wages.
  11. I agree, think he is a very useful player who would certainly do a good job for us. One of the more likely emails I have seen. I do wonder what his wages would come to however.
  12. http://www.caughtoffside.com/2015/06/08/southampton-eye-8m-deal-for-ex-arsenal-man-to-replace-manchester-united-transfer-target/ Linked to Alex Song for £8m
  13. Perfect summation, enjoying watching supersonic get his arse handed to him Keep up the excellent work CB Fry, bell ends like supersonic should be booted off the forum with their continual troll ballarks
  14. The target for next season is simple... go all out to win the euro league
  15. I don't know if this has been previously posted. However! It is too good to not share!!!

  17. Fair play to the guy. Stuck with us through thick and thin in the dark days, pivotal in our promotions, not least Leeds away (where he got us the points almost single-handed!) Seems like a good character behind the scenes as well!
  18. Looks like City's youth (purchased) will be given a go... Anyone know who Kelechi Iheanacho is and whether he is any good? Was he part of the rape of our U21's the other night?
  19. Sadio Mane for me. Cracking goal that sums him up. He gives defenders hell and then comes up with beautiful or scrappy finishes. That move has everything about him and was a vital goal allowing us to beat Arsenal at home and keeping our season alive when coupled with the momentum of the man utd and Chelsea games. If we're going for anything else then the Long and Pelle goals are both great strikes, although I actually prefer Pelle's smash vs Stoke, great technique and power.
  20. Bournemouth won't go down.... Still going to be two of Sunderland, Hull and Newcastle in the prem next year... not to mention Villa... They are easily the best attacking team in the championship and have a very intimidating ground. If they sign players like Lambert to build upon their young core they will do very well.
  21. I agree with you, but you never know.... I fancy us to at least draw with city. Maybe even get the win!
