  1. Yes but we spent so much time as fans on creating that negative atmosphere and it clearly unsettled the team. We can not afford that against tottenham. On a side note, why am i reading on the BBC that their is a saints fan initiative for us to wear orange at the game in support of Koeman?
  2. I think it is really important that, as fans, we support the team and cheer them on rather than creating a hostile and negative atmosphere towards Poch. We've done this so many times against Reknapp or liverpool this season and it ALWAYS back fires. By all means be rauscous in support of the team, but make sure its the support for the team that you offer.... and save any jeering for the end once we've got all 3 points please.
  3. I am puzzled why the coalition's move to increase the bottom tax bracket (affecting all equally) isn't fair... But labours plan to lower the 40p tax bracket straight after the election is fair? You may not like it, but the vast majority of people in this country all had the same start in life and some worked harder and made a better use of it financially (industry dependant), so now, after they have raised them self up they should be taxed more for it? Despite the fact that they are already giving more of their salaries to the government and serving a more prominent role in the countries economy anyway? I have never understood a system which punishes success. It breeds mediocrity and promotes it for future generations with the belief that they can laze around and let society foot the bill.... All good until society runs outa money and gets broken (insert near unlimited examples of last labour government). Also, what is up with the god damn eton bash against specifically Tories? People who do this are delusional, do they actually know the background of labour politicians? Or do they simply just ignore it? Bizarre and very naive. If you vote labour into power you will to it to the detriment of the country, the UK, yourself and your children. Sadly/Gladly you have that choice; that is democracy. And re your above posts... yes, saints have a hell of a lot of Tory (and UKIP) voters. Does that make us worse fans because we chose a state that fundamentally gives more power to the people rather than high taxes and a big brother/nanny state system? I wonder if you have ever looked at the voting proportions for Southampton, the new forest and the surrounding areas... I mean, if you consider that nearly 50% of the population poll as Tory/UKIP, and the support of those parties is focussed in the south and south west, how many of the people you see in SMS do you think are Blue/Purple? Certainly isn't a tiny minority matey.
  4. I said when they sacked Pardew that they would go down or at least get dragged into it, and their fans certainly deserve it imho. I know that their owner is running them sustainably and not spending silly money but their fans act like they are a giant of a club that should be challenging for europe and the title every season and treated Pardew appallingly for not delivering that. If they go down it will be just like last time with the fans turning on the club and the manager. All that said and done, I can't see 3 teams getting to 35 points this year. Hull are gone for sure. Sunderland? Can't see them picking up many more points. Then QPR, Leicester look okay but Burnley have dropped off big time. Going to be a very exciting finish for sure.
  5. If we're raiding Newcastle this summer, then top of the list are Sissoko and Ayoze Perez. That is a frigging no brainer and a great prospect respectively. Krul would be a capable prem goalie for sure. Would prefer Forster as first choice though.
  6. Hosted by one of the most irritating offenders on here rofl. Also, you think i'm dubai phil?
  7. That would be akin to UKIP running Brussels with the honest objective of strengthening the union. Or Sinn Fein doing the same for the UK. All those parties are in government to get out their respective ones and nothing more. Ironically, in the long run, Scottish independence means no more Labour governments. An interesting quandary for Ed Milalisp the Red don't you think?
  8. It would be a ******* shambles!!! I really hope the Tories either get a majority or form a coalition with libs again. Not to mention that you'd have 50mps in charge of governing the UK whose sole objective it is to break up the united kingdom and will hold the government hostage over any policy they see fit to achieve this. What a way to hamstring the strongest recovery in the G20 But then, many people abhor a government/country that lives responsibly and within in its means I suppose... as long as they ultimately get more in their pocket whilst those who are successful pay for it until the whole system crashes down again.
  9. Considering Koeman used the phrase "we're not sure when or IF(!!!) he'll be back" in his press conference yesterday it is clear his injury troubles could very well not be behind him.
  10. Sorry mate but you're being a mong with that post. If everything that Dave says is wrong that means that.... You disagree that: Wanyama is a powerful presence in midfield Opponents usually come of worse when tackling him He gets yellow carded to easily ^ To me, all of the above are true You also disagree that: He's put in some very good performances he has lacked consistency over the two seasons Both are true tbh.... You also disagree with Dave when he says "I don't believe there isn't a great deal of interested from other prem sides" - I have no idea what you base your complaint with this is. Wanyama is hardly ever mentioned with a move away from saints. It is almost constantly Either Morgan, Clyne, Jayrod or young Calum Slattery. Finally, at no point does Dave say we should accept a £12m bid for him, or that there is one incoming. Thanks for taking the time to rip apart another poster who drew your ire though In terms of his contract, I think he has a useful role to us and may well shine when Morgan leaves, much as Fonte has done without Dejan. But if he is not interested in signing a new deal and wants to tag the club along then I would also consider selling him for a tidy profit if the right bid came in. Not sure why you felt to rip another poster apart for a fairly logical post tbh.
  11. Tories need all the help they can get tbf. Love the above poster though, closet tory
  12. When Morgan moves he will do very well out of it. Everything he has earnt he has done without the hype and you are naive if you think he won't be a star and winning things at his next club. There is simply no better DM in the prem.
  13. Those are our best 3 players rofl
  14. I think that simply put, we will get champions league if we are capable of beating man city last game of the season. If we win that game I have us to get champions league.
  15. Its very disappointing really, but as long as we re-invest the money wisely we can continue to build. Didn't we have a net transfer spend under Adkins of £3m between him taking over in League 1 to getting us promoted to the prem? All paid for by Ox to Arsenal basically. And last summer we managed to improve the club as a whole whilst turning a sizeable profit all at the expense of Liverpool, United and Arsenal again... I agree its never going to be a certain business model with respect to results. But the new rules will put an ever greater premium on English talent, a resource that we have the top product in. We will therefore do the best out of the rest when it comes to transfer income. And we need to spend it wisely and retain whats left to continue to grow. That is why Europe is key for the club. If we finish above spurs and maintain some european football, there really is only 5/6 clubs that can nab our players. Everyone below that will look at saints as a destination, not a departure point.
  16. Do we get "Uber fan" status for going? Great to see the u21's going this far. Didn't Williams say that the current crop below the first team were very average when he left. And that he couldn't see where the next star would come from? Well, we managed to beat Everton 3-0 with 7(?) U21's in the squad and now we're in the U21 cup final; so can't be all that bad!
  17. Sorry, I believe i have a point and was called a **** for it
  18. Hmm, yes I did actually. Thank you for calling me a vagine though... though, surely that is worth an infraction on here? .... As for your concern over my "uber fan status" I would be surprised if you rack up more mileage than me my friend. I have a season ticket in Bristol and go to every single home game plus a good few aways.... fair play if you do though, I'm sure quite a few can. Besides that though, I've been going since we got relegated from the prem and in fact long before that... I've played footy at the dell and been on sms pitch many a time, not least the Sheffield united game. Were you there for occasions like Papa Waigo's adopted kid I wonder? I doubt it or you wouldn't be moaning about our best ever season in the prem, the best defense in england and being on target for our highest points total. It is beyond me why our fans feel the need to slam the team atm... what exactly did they expect? A team being rebuilt, the spine ripped out and despite the rebuild, a limited squad depth. We have had a fantastic season whether we finish top 4 or 7th... I can't understand fans like you who slam the team and attack other fans over a season like this. We have no need of "fair weather" fans, or their poor attitude. That path leads to premier mediocrity, poor atmospheres and all the things we didnt miss about the prem. No thanks, better off without that kind fan.
  19. Similar can maybe be said for Man City and Tottenham... And west brom under Pulis are normally pretty damn solid. Also, lets be fair, Everton suffered from europa league, but are actually as good if not better than us based on last seasons team and their finish, hardly a disgrace to lose away to them... Do you know what else tells its own story... the fact that we are on course for the best ever prem finish and points total and that we have the best defense in england.... Got some right ****ing emo **** on here today as usual. Jokers the lot of you
  20. Champions league is done? Get real folks, we had to win every game and we aren't good enough for that. Does it matter? We have had a great season and fantastic 5 years with more to come! This place is so very negative after a defeat.
  21. Sorry mate but what, Sammy g has been out with injuries and done a great job since coming back in for the u21's. Vent your fury where you will, but don't pick on a 19 year old who lost his dad and you think you can get away with just because he is out of sight. What kind of fan are you ffs.....
  22. This guys has not aged well lol Its not particularly saints related but thought i would share regardless! http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-3014586/John-Hartson-bumps-Eyal-Berkovic-Israel-17-years-booting-former-West-Ham-team-mate-face.html
  23. So quick to forget the tiny SLong - admit, just to small and to quick for you right
  24. Can he play in goal?
  25. Hey, I'm just answering reasons why he may join us, not why he won't... It seemed like the quicker list to right
