Whilst I don't disagree that Koeman can't be judged yet and this could all be a very successful case of "new manager syndrome", you really can't state that this success is built on the back of poch's team... Or did I miss the mass exodus and unsettling that went on over the summer? We know longer have Lallana, Lambert or Lovren, or Shaw!! And we sold Chambers who played half the games under him. Not sure if you are trolling with that comment? However you want to put it, Koeman/board have basically dismantled Poch's want-aways and Koeman has built his very own team from the ashes!

Hope we smash them. Pelle, Tadic and Mane up front for at least an hour. Wanyama, Morgan and Cork in the centre, Solid back line with good rotation and Forster in goal. A good win over Arsenal will do wonders for further building are burgeoning team belief!

Shows you how much better we are that we can field that as an approximately second string team... We could add: Morgan Maya Toby Bertrand JWP JayRod Pelle To that team on a good day. We also still have Ramirez and Boruc on our books technically. Plus players like Reed, Gallagher, Isgrove, Sims and Maqueen etc. Future is very very bright right now. Especially with £30m still in the kitty, not to mention the added TV monies. WTFILN

Not to stop us all jizzing ourselves for good football (which it was) - but this current Newcastle side our one of the worse teams in the league at present. If you want to talk about samba football, go watch what Chelsea did to Swansea.... It was like us on steroids at times, and then some. We played well, but Newcastle were awful, and had pretty much given up up by the 4th goal. A bit like the Middlesbrough game in the championship when we score the first goal and Lambert was actually able top just stop for a few seconds with the ball on the edge of the penalty area... that was a 33 pass move as well or something if memory serves.

It is my understanding that she does.... Which made it all the more outrageous that people were doing it. I for one like her, as I posted several times over the summer, she was coming to games in 2010 and bringing her nephew/son with her so she clearly has an interest and care. The summer was testing for sure. Looks like we have come through it and the fans can now look to trust her, the family and the board. Onwards and upwards. Plus Koeman is a beast!

Can I be clear, you want people who doubted the direction of the club at this point to apologise? Or you want people who used personal insults against the board and in particular Kat to apologise? Don't think you should be expecting the former (vast majority of the fan base) to apologise, very legitimate concerns were held at that time and it was the destruction of the past 5 years of the clubs history, and looked for all the while like the first team was being dismantled whilst the board sat there and lied through their teeth. I wonder, if we had been demoted to a couple of leagues how much flack the "trust the board blindly brigade" would have kopped for dream walking the club into the abyss. Much like the flack we gave pompey for being oblivious to their financial ruin. The club's fans are its soul, heart and conscience, and they have a duty to question and observe everything imho, they are then able to ride both the ups and downs. If you can't do that, and you don't withstand and understand the downs then you won't enjoy the ups. And regardless what people say, this summer was a very shaky period for the club, first team being dismantled why the board lied through their teeth. That said, they have turned it around now, and credit is due for that. I don't particularity think that any side owes anyone apology for the above, simply a case of the board and fans having to trust and understand each other to build a better club... after this summer I would expect the club to be stronger as a whole. As for the people who hurled personal insults and Kat, the family and the board. On the one hand I can accept their passion got the best of them, but they do look foolish and premature now, and apologies should be offered. Doubt you will see them either. Still waiting for Saint Richmond to resign from the forum, since Morgan and Jayrod are still at the club.... and he got baited into making that bet with another poster on deadline day.... I'm not convinced that is a fair stick to beat the man wtih... Take his "6-7 goals a season" at £12m, that is £2m per goal.... Luis Suarez score 31 in the league last season £75m at £2.41m per goal. Shall we compare wages on top of that.... So basically, on the criteria of goal scoring, Shane long is better value for money than Luis Suarez... Add to that the fact that Suarez played in a far better team relative to the opposition when compared to Long, and that Suarez had better players assisting him and distracting defenders.... If you put Long in that Liverpool side then he would be even better value for money than Suarez rofl

This kid looks good, and only 22... Allowing myself to be excited about this one! His pace and power, not to mention tricks make him a dangerous player.

Enough negativity and bed wetting! That is all! Enough knocking of Pelle, enough grumbling about the team being weaker and distress about transfers. Morgan (mr non-committed) has just banged in 2 goals, the team is showing great sides of progress, Pelle is looking like class (what good a goal does ey) and that means you can't slag off all Italian imports - you know who you are!!! Plus, and for the first time in ages we've owned BFS away. Great day!
