I remember similar words in the summer sadly... Said in much the same way by Les Read. I hope the board won't start undermining Koeman like they did themselves.

You need to man up Graffito, didn'y you hear eelpie.... he's from London as well and he has no tolerance for anyone leaving before the final whistle.... He's a true and hard saints fan after all.... Anyone who leaves early should just not attend, lest they demoralise the players for the final 3 minutes

Good for you bud, I've heard London is a great place to live and very easy to get back to as well... I come from Bristol myself and I also stay to the end. In addition, and like most of the regular saints fans out there, I can also say I've been with the club since relegation from the prem (and long before), I've been through all the ****e and lucky enough to enjoy all the good as well such as the Norwich 2-2 penalties and Waigo's adopted child! Now... I don't leave early nor did I take offence on behalf of myself... what I don't like is people who have no consideration for their fellow saints fans and who then crawl out of the woodwork after a couple of unlucky defeats to attack our own fans, especially over something so trivial... What should politely be considered is that we have young families, elderly fans, or just your bog standard bloke in his 20-30's who rely on hourly buses or trains to get back home, or those that just have to rush off and can't afford to sit in the massive traffic to get back on the motorway... They make the effort to get into Southampton, (committing more time and money than most) but still just have to shoot off a few minutes early... it's there money and prerogative after all and is perfectly reasonable. You could for example consider the fans that arrive 5min after kick off, head down 5min early for half time, and get back to the stands after the second half kicks off for your ire? Where is your rage towards these people? Do they not also have a negative effect on the players who see them streaming for the exits after only 40min?!?!?! Simply put, it seems like we lose a few games and there are saints fans attacking other fans for any reason they see fit, rather than simply getting together behind the team and pushing them onwards. You may disagree, but if your want to come across as the guy that goes around criticising other fans for making an effort to attend a game then that's your choice... Maybe we should just ban them all from leaving before the final whistle, I'm sure the team would be equally cheered on by empty seats when they all stop attending... Or do you think we'd sell out every game and that there are legions of desperate saints fans waiting to take their places? Also, if the players are more worried about what a couple of hundred fans walking down the stairs in the 90th minute than pushing for an equaliser then there is something seriously wrong with their commitment and willingness to fight for the shirt. Fortunately this isn't the case. To each his own bud, but I'd tone down the anti other saints fan's rhetoric if it were me.

So, a saints fan who comes from some distance outside Southampton and has to run to either avoid serious traffic or catch a train is fickle? Where do you get off you pompous bell end! These guys are taking greater time, effort and cost to support the team whilst all you can do is sit on your backside and critisize them for it?!?! Get real mate, and go do one if your only contribution is to criticize other saints fans.

With all due respect to Burnley (who i like!), you can not honestly go to a relegation threatened club with the mindset of we'll do well to get a point unless you think we ourselves are at relegation scrap level?!?! It is not our players that are low on confidence but some of our fans. Too many have forgotten that we are 5th in the league, with some really exciting players. They are all to eager to come on here and slag off the players and tactics as if we should expect to have won at home to Man city, won and arsenal etc. These guys need to get real. Yes we would have all loved to pick up points from those games and are disappointed not to have, but the simple truth is that once again our heavy injury list has hit at the same time as us playing all the big teams. We're still very much in and about the top 6 so is it really that big a deal? Or did people think we were actually coming top 2 by the end of the season? Support the team, stop blasting all the players and for gods sake, we aren't bottom of the league, we can still expect to go to Burnley without having to snap there arm off for a point pre match... this isn't like playing chelsea away ffs. Man up!
-
On the plus side guys, we will absolutley go for them just due to Koeman. He will want to beat LVG more than anyone else in football I imagine. Add to that the fact that the pressure is off us due to all the injuries, and the fact that the team will have a point to prove after city and especially arsenal. I think we will batter united stats wise tbh; comfortable game with the score to flatter the mancs some degree... We need some positivity on here. 3-1

lol exactly, jackanory is talking out of his arse, I don't kow a united fan from manchester who is going to the game. In contrast I know 2 in london, 1 in bristol, 1 in glocustershire, and 1 in southampton.
-
Well, that puts pay to the theory about following your heart - Eastleigh got knocked out :/
-
Thats ******** and all though isn't it... we have the record turnover from tv monies that we haven't even touched, let alone the £30m profit from summer transfers.
-
Poor survey to be honest, you're first question is "are you a football fan", then you ask questions like who do you support, or does your team have a particular rival... If you answered no to the first question how do you proceed? Also its an irrelevant question to post on a football forum... You also require, "other" answers, as your I don't particularity agree with your options for the cause of hooliganism.

Tadic injured to two feet of the ground ankle stamp, Toby injured, little **** chambers making him walk off with hamstring injury, ref sucking arsenal cock and taking in the arse at the same time, and just all around bad luck. Same thing happened last season, injuries perfectly in sink with toughest games. ********. Arsenal have been utter ****e as well.
-
He has won the most number of aerial duals this season though, so he must be doing something right compared to all other front men

Rowe's the boy, especially with the fact that we only have 3 fit wide players (do i include mayuka?) -
Forster Clyne Fonte Toby Bertrand Wanyama Davis/Cork Mane Tadic Long Pelle

Jesus christ man get a grip and take of the rose tinted glasses.... You can't be man of the match as a CB in a defence that lets in 3 goals... If he was that impressive you'd surely give MoM to Aguero, for getting 2 assists and winning a ghost penalty. Toby is a good player and had a solid game, but seriously. MOM? wow. What we should be doing, and what we should take from this game is that Tadic can play CAM, with long and Mane on the flanks. We seem to be determined to not do this, even against villa where we played long through the middle.
-
Poor, occasion got to us, missed cork and should have started long. We won't finish above city who played the occasion and not the hype. Bad timetto get thumped with upcoming fixtures. Be ready for 2 defeats and a draw at best from city arse and United... Ah well, we march on.

ESO... Has he left or what?

Rape convictions usually show evidence of force/assault or drugs. At the very least the victim recalls the assault. In this case, none of the above apply. Take issue with any of that?
-
Yet she can walk around perfectly, give out correct change etc and had no drugs in her system the morning after... Your comments are very erroneous frankly. No one knows what happened that night. One guy went down for rape, the other didn't... and the girl can't remember any of it... How you can prove someone guilty with no evidence of foul play and no witnesses i'll never know. She was also heard as being concious after Evans arrived as the receptionist went to the room and overheard them. His appeal will be interesting, although perhaps to politically charged to be given a fair crack of the whip anyway.
-
In fairness mate, there is no conclusive proof that he raped her. She is to drunk to remember, and doesn't remember sex with the other chap (who was not found guilty of rape)... In my book, that is very mirky. If he says he is innocent, then I won't argue against him. He is appealing, as his is right, and if found innocent then a lot of people will have mud on their face. If he remains guilty then for me it makes me question equality in our legal system and the principle of "innocent until proven guilty beyond reasonable doubt. All that aside, he has been to jail, served his time, and frankly, people's only gripe is that the job he can now do earns him a lot of money.. not that he has a job to go back to. If he was a dustbin man, no one would care and it wouldn't be in the papers. But, because he is a footballer and can earn more than them he should be banned.. Justice and equality for all.. the end. Mob rule and special cases is not a country i want to be a part of, sometimes that works both ways whether you like it or not. Ultimately, if you were innocent, I bet you'd like the right to say that, appeal to that affect, and still have a life after you have served your time... otherwise all crimes would effectively end in a life sentence.

I kind of agree with Alpine o.0 There are some sources that want us to do well... (Keown, Shearer, Henry Winter, Guardian etc) Many are bemused and set us up for a fall whilst saying we will fall away. Then there is are favourite reporter in the Fail, who still prints negative stories aimed at unsettling the fans and the club. He does this without fail. Not a coincidence to my mind, he really cant stand us.
-
We don't doubt they're good, but they are not the best by a long way. You just claimed that they were the best. Where as myself, and the two following posters who followed me, don't agree. Personally don't think you can put them in the same league as the united and arsenal ones... Players like Henry, Giggs, Ronaldo, pires etc in their prime, and in those teams were far far better than Oscar and Costa... They are probably on a par with Stirling, Suarez and Sturridge from last year, which is obviously good. You could even argue that (on paper at least) Falcao, Di Maria, Rooney, Van Persi and Mata is the best attakcing line up yet seen in the prem. (as i said, on paper!) You also have the Yorke, cole, giggs etc line up to consider. Its just a disagreement bud, but you claimed they were the best, most would vouch for either an Arsenal or United front line. Christ there is Aguero, Silva, Negredo, navas and Nasri to consider - What they were doing last season was far better than Chelsea.
-
No its really not. It might generously get given 3rd...

Question - "how to be smug" Answer - Not yet time to be smug, we have won nothing and could still come in midtable with bad injuries to pelle and/or forster. If and when it comes time to be "smug", I suggest you just remain silently amused at how other clubs fair in their struggles and offer a few kind words of condolences... all the while you internally think how much better it is to be a saints fan than any other club in the country. It does us no favours to boast or brag, instead just enjoy the silence you hear from glory boys would otherwise be taking the ****. They have nothing to sing or shout about. All of them from Arsenal to liverpool to tottenham... their teams are doing awful. But remember one golden rule, make friends on the way up, or you'll have none on the way down... just like united and liverpool are/have found out.
