It would be a ******* shambles!!! I really hope the Tories either get a majority or form a coalition with libs again. Not to mention that you'd have 50mps in charge of governing the UK whose sole objective it is to break up the united kingdom and will hold the government hostage over any policy they see fit to achieve this. What a way to hamstring the strongest recovery in the G20 But then, many people abhor a government/country that lives responsibly and within in its means I suppose... as long as they ultimately get more in their pocket whilst those who are successful pay for it until the whole system crashes down again.

Rodriguez has returned - BREAKING: NEW CONTRACT SIGNED
Saint86 replied to Saint-Armstrong's topic in The Saints
Considering Koeman used the phrase "we're not sure when or IF(!!!) he'll be back" in his press conference yesterday it is clear his injury troubles could very well not be behind him. -
Sorry mate but you're being a mong with that post. If everything that Dave says is wrong that means that.... You disagree that: Wanyama is a powerful presence in midfield Opponents usually come of worse when tackling him He gets yellow carded to easily ^ To me, all of the above are true You also disagree that: He's put in some very good performances he has lacked consistency over the two seasons Both are true tbh.... You also disagree with Dave when he says "I don't believe there isn't a great deal of interested from other prem sides" - I have no idea what you base your complaint with this is. Wanyama is hardly ever mentioned with a move away from saints. It is almost constantly Either Morgan, Clyne, Jayrod or young Calum Slattery. Finally, at no point does Dave say we should accept a £12m bid for him, or that there is one incoming. Thanks for taking the time to rip apart another poster who drew your ire though In terms of his contract, I think he has a useful role to us and may well shine when Morgan leaves, much as Fonte has done without Dejan. But if he is not interested in signing a new deal and wants to tag the club along then I would also consider selling him for a tidy profit if the right bid came in. Not sure why you felt to rip another poster apart for a fairly logical post tbh.

Tories need all the help they can get tbf. Love the above poster though, closet tory

When Morgan moves he will do very well out of it. Everything he has earnt he has done without the hype and you are naive if you think he won't be a star and winning things at his next club. There is simply no better DM in the prem.

Those are our best 3 players rofl

End of season predictor - just for fun
Saint86 replied to Sold To The Man @ The Bar's topic in The Saints
I think that simply put, we will get champions league if we are capable of beating man city last game of the season. If we win that game I have us to get champions league. -
Its very disappointing really, but as long as we re-invest the money wisely we can continue to build. Didn't we have a net transfer spend under Adkins of £3m between him taking over in League 1 to getting us promoted to the prem? All paid for by Ox to Arsenal basically. And last summer we managed to improve the club as a whole whilst turning a sizeable profit all at the expense of Liverpool, United and Arsenal again... I agree its never going to be a certain business model with respect to results. But the new rules will put an ever greater premium on English talent, a resource that we have the top product in. We will therefore do the best out of the rest when it comes to transfer income. And we need to spend it wisely and retain whats left to continue to grow. That is why Europe is key for the club. If we finish above spurs and maintain some european football, there really is only 5/6 clubs that can nab our players. Everyone below that will look at saints as a destination, not a departure point.

Do we get "Uber fan" status for going? Great to see the u21's going this far. Didn't Williams say that the current crop below the first team were very average when he left. And that he couldn't see where the next star would come from? Well, we managed to beat Everton 3-0 with 7(?) U21's in the squad and now we're in the U21 cup final; so can't be all that bad!
-
Sorry, I believe i have a point and was called a **** for it
-
Hmm, yes I did actually. Thank you for calling me a vagine though... though, surely that is worth an infraction on here? .... As for your concern over my "uber fan status" I would be surprised if you rack up more mileage than me my friend. I have a season ticket in Bristol and go to every single home game plus a good few aways.... fair play if you do though, I'm sure quite a few can. Besides that though, I've been going since we got relegated from the prem and in fact long before that... I've played footy at the dell and been on sms pitch many a time, not least the Sheffield united game. Were you there for occasions like Papa Waigo's adopted kid I wonder? I doubt it or you wouldn't be moaning about our best ever season in the prem, the best defense in england and being on target for our highest points total. It is beyond me why our fans feel the need to slam the team atm... what exactly did they expect? A team being rebuilt, the spine ripped out and despite the rebuild, a limited squad depth. We have had a fantastic season whether we finish top 4 or 7th... I can't understand fans like you who slam the team and attack other fans over a season like this. We have no need of "fair weather" fans, or their poor attitude. That path leads to premier mediocrity, poor atmospheres and all the things we didnt miss about the prem. No thanks, better off without that kind fan.
-
Similar can maybe be said for Man City and Tottenham... And west brom under Pulis are normally pretty damn solid. Also, lets be fair, Everton suffered from europa league, but are actually as good if not better than us based on last seasons team and their finish, hardly a disgrace to lose away to them... Do you know what else tells its own story... the fact that we are on course for the best ever prem finish and points total and that we have the best defense in england.... Got some right ****ing emo **** on here today as usual. Jokers the lot of you

BBCs Champions League: How race for top four will unfold... possibly
Saint86 replied to doddisalegend's topic in The Saints
Champions league is done? Get real folks, we had to win every game and we aren't good enough for that. Does it matter? We have had a great season and fantastic 5 years with more to come! This place is so very negative after a defeat. -
Sorry mate but what, Sammy g has been out with injuries and done a great job since coming back in for the u21's. Vent your fury where you will, but don't pick on a 19 year old who lost his dad and you think you can get away with just because he is out of sight. What kind of fan are you ffs.....

Southampton interested in Newcastle GK Freddie Woodman

Hey, I'm just answering reasons why he may join us, not why he won't... It seemed like the quicker list to right -

England's No.2 and Englands GK coach from the last world cup. Plus he is bound to get game time over the next year. -
Personally don't think he has a leg to stand on. Its the last game of the season and the chance to see the team off for the summer.... Its a special occasion in those respects and you pay for it. Or you get a season ticket.

That is totally wrong bud, the co-pilot can (and did) override the electronic door code and prevented the pilot from entering. (If the leaked reports are to be believed). The pilot returns and knocks on the door, there is no answer but co-pilots breathing can be heard until crash... Pilot can be heard hitting and then slamming the door as he tries to violently get back into the cockpit and passengers can be heard screaming over an alarm. Co-pilot overrode the door which is possible for upto 20min apparently, he didn't need that long. Looks like suicide, but you have to accept that there are far easier ways... and it displays a real level of mental imbalance to take 150 people with you. Have to wonder if his family were being blackmailed or something. Fact is we will likely never know why we did it. But can't believe someone would leave their loved ones with that legacy no matter how suicidal/selfish they were. Hopefully we will find out that this isn't a selfish suicide as it really will be a shocking outcome.

I'm sorry what? It has been in the football league trophy (insert appropriate sponsor) since 1992.... before that it was the associate members cup back until 1983/84. I'm not passing comment on how long its been called the JPT, but the competition existed long before that. That or I am horribly wrong and the carling cup is a very recent competition only
-
I seriously ****ing hope not. Should have gone for david marshall in the summer and better do this time. Failing that, Heaten looks a reasonable keeper. Gazza has apparently been coming on along for the U21's, growing in confidence and stature. Imagine that for next season. Peeps would have heart attacks.
-
All the best Fraser, despite what many say you have been pivotal and it is beyond me how many on here have managed to say that your broken knee cap is the fault of your own indecision.... Still they are the first to say we have no quality back up keepers and either way I think you'd be the first goalie in history who decided to take an extra touch and spontaneously brake his knee cap as a result

Rodriguez given the all-clear and set to return next month
Saint86 replied to Saint-Armstrong's topic in The Saints
Interesting. But regardless he was out limping in the New Forest. I'll let the experts in Knee Ligament damage decide what that actually means.
