  1. Or any of it in fact!
  2. Come back when that happens please, 7/10
  3. Well, Ashley Cole couldn't get in the Chelsea team... so hardly an argument to say someone is crap. He'll do a job for us, still better than when we first arrived. Still not seen any evidence of interest from the board however, patch us up with load signings, pocket the catch, and sell the carcass still to be disproved... Remaining on the Asset strip side of the fence with Spider to go on Sep 1st.
  4. In light of morgan's tweet, is it not possible that he wanted to stay, and the board have told him he is being sold or sitting in the reserves... meanwhile they make a brave face of keeping him. All the negative press about players leaving has come from club sanctioned sources... They've lied and lied in statements, had puppets come on here to keep fans happy and various times (during the sales and season ticket renewals etc)... I trust this board not one iota. Nothing to disprove this theory atm, and until we spend a significant amount of the money we have recouped it will look like an asset strip prior to sale of the club.
  5. Viking, if we sell Morgan, jayrod, Cork, Fonte and JWP, which is all being reported today or this week, then we will not be okay. It looks this week, like an asset strip prior to sale of the carcass. It is hard to be positive at the moment, as to do that requires faith in Les Read and his ability to bring players in. I hope that is the case. But as it stands and with our current momentum.... its hard to look past relegation. I am also one of the bigger happy clappers on here.... But I am becoming very, let me stress this, VERY, concerned.
  6. Doesn't change the fact that as it stands, we are getting relegated after a fairly brutal asset stripping does it. Massive upturn in fortunes is required in the next 2 days let alone the next week.
  7. I'm not sure of a lot of things right now, even less so that the club have £80m in the bank, if she's selling then those monies are in her pocket not the clubs.
  8. Jesus Christ, seriously. The Liebherr's have been notoriously quiet the entire time they've owned the club. Why don't you just wait and see what happens over the next few weeks. We are rolling in it, have a great academy, good players remaining and a very well established manager with world class pedigree as a player. We are being linked with a lot of quality players and it could be a very exciting time. I hope she doesn't read the forum and realise what a bunch of ungrateful bedwetters saints fans are in general tbh. She would sell up.
  9. Guys grow a pair, the club will show their intents in the next few weeks. Stop begging for reassurances, it is embarrassing!
  10. Very good post sir, I am also rather excited by what this season may bring. As I have said many times. KL has behaved very strangely for someone with no enthusiasm for the club and only sees it as a short term cash cow where she can sell up and move on asap.... She was in the directors box in 2010 with her nephew and that is certainly not the behaviour of someone with no interest in the club as she did not then have ownership. We have a lot of ungrateful fans who forget that she could have pulled the plug and ended this dream when her father passed away. I admit that it has been an uncertain summer for the club, and extremely painful. I remain hopeful that class additions will persuade Morgan to stay (and he is key for me) and the quality of player we are being linked with is very promising. Koeman was a world class player and a very good pedigree as a manager, he has money to burn, and knowledge of european markets, we do also have a quality academy... We've lost the cancer that thought only about themselves, (that does not include Rickie!), chambers will be a shame. But the money has been excellent. Through the fog of uncertainty, I see a vision to introduce a dutch/english merge of attacking quality football, built around exciting young players from both countries. It may not work, but it will be rather innovating. And if we keep buying cheap and selling for large profits, the only way will be up! We have Cortese to thank for that! We may not even lose money on Osvaldo since we won't be paying any of his add ons rofl.
  11. Please can we lock this thread, the fact that it has a second page is an embarrassment!
  12. Is it not "Coo-mun" maybe Cumin ? Personally I prefer Koeman - Coman - Conan!!!
  13. You're acting like 2 players who couldn't make the 11 for a team that went out of the world cup are irreplacabe. Whereas the two best players from the league where most of the team who came 3rd play are not fit to lace their boots. Tadic looks to have better close ball control and vision than lallana, and pelle is a powerful and natural finisher... We've done well here so stop being negative. We still have shaw and Lambert's fees to sign a LB, CB and GK plus circa £30m of TV revenue money (that is a guess ofc) but based on those figures we'd have somewhere between £60-70m to buy Ings, Marshall, armero and a CB etc. I really don't understand you're negative outlook. We have a great manager and 2 good promising signings. Worth noting as well that pelle replaces a guy we'd have had to get rid of next season anyway.
  14. Thought I'd share this, not directly related to saints, although you could argue that his sale has funded our summer.... Just think the Liverpool reaction is hysterical... "Liverpool fan here. I'm disappointed. I thought I knew football but obviously I don't. Contracts seem to mean nothing these days. He signed a six year contract with liverpool last season with a £80 million buy out clause. Now he's gone with neither completing his contract or getting the buy out clause activated." Does he not see the irony of this post, do they think they are bigger than Barca, or realise that football has always worked with the big clubs pulling players off of the smaller clubs. Utter madness. Should chin up a few saints fans who thought that we were the only ones getting stripped this summer. Make no mistake, £64m for Luis Suarez on a long term contract is an awful deal for them.
  15. That's fine because he isn't leaving..............................
  16. Fixed it for you
  17. Utterly agreed, there has already been talk about the next 5 year plan, namely organic growth to European football. Clearly there has been a lot of upheaval which acts as merely the first step. Out with the old batch and in with the new. Morgan and Fonte to be the survivors from the previous regime that carry on the journey.
  18. Clyne Lovren Fonte Armero Cork Wanyama Morgan Tadic Ramirez
  19. Great post Dave! Their are some true gems in the academy. Can't wait to see players like Rowe, sims, Sinclair and seager make the fringes and push through and they have a real chance under koeman as opposed to mopo as he actually will play wingers! Target, reed, gallagher, cha!beds and prowse are all the proof you need that the production line is continuous. As were dyer, surman, best, lallana, oxlade, shaw etc. With sound management this club will go up and up. We're selling players for 25m and buying as good replacements for half the fee in tadic and pelle. The big clubs will fund us and our academy.... Some fans are just divs like the OP who thinks we will never be a top 4 club yet excludes the 80s even on the back of 30years support. We have a great club, great setup and great potential... Plus we are actually cash rich, the future is bright and the next 5 years will show us organically grown into a European cub IMHO. This season maybe a tad bumby, but we have undergone change and ditched the rotten staff to make way for the new batch. COYR
  20. Can you see us doing business with Tan, the man is a rich maniac... He will ask for a fortune for any player he wants to keep, and even if we offered it he still might not take it. (Wonders what would have happened had we still had cortese in charge) Long story short, I can't see people buying Cardiff's key players unless it is for stupid money. Ironic that its harder to get players out of a championship team who just got relegated than a premier league team on the up who are rich and just had their best ever premier league season.

  22. Can't work out if you are claiming to be a board member or the tea lady. I find it hard to believe you are on the board of a multi-million pound business with that spelling at any rate. Also your post history does not demonstrate that you are in the know... Also, your comments about liverpool and man united - "they are huge clubs that will walk with their generous offers and pick another world class talent" - that is a shocking viewpoint for a football club who do not want to sell and have no need to sell. All in all, my BS alarm is in overdrive
  23. He was one of Columbia's best players... Knew how to bomb down the wing as well (thought he was a CB) I'd take him
  24. Good lad. Its becoming clear that MoPo was the cancer at the heart of the first team squad. And the board are trying to cut out the tumour surrounding his core players and their over inflated egos. Sooner we get rid of this dross the better tbh.
  25. Depends what its in... a 2:1 in say Physics/Maths/Biochemistry etc is worth a hole lot more than first in say English/history/media/social sciences etc... Unless you're going for a job on the bbc at least
