Holy Clyne fonts lovren shaw Cork Morgan Lallana Lambert Ramirez Osvaldo Must win game for me, sit next to a Liverpool fan at work... Before you ask, he's never been to anfield :-)
-
Well that's clearly BS, because the bed wetters would have had us believe that we would never return to the premier, then never return to the championship, then never survive administration. The only ones who are set in stone are the bedwetters - the ascent to the premier pretty much proves this... every year the same posters moan about the tactics, or the team, or the results like we are getting relegated, regardless of the fact that we went to Wembley and won 2 promotions. They will never change.... in contrast, for the past 4 years the happy clappers have a much higher accuracy in what they have been saying.... ergo, saing that the bedwetters/realists (rofl call ourselves what you will) will always win is ridiculous. They are wrong 99 times out of a hundred, possess an abnormal and annoying stamina to keep going, and will eventually get one right. Meanwhile they **** off 90% of the fanbase. I'll take a happy clapper anyday, at least they can revise their expectations downwards once in a while.

I don't think the club need to jump on this particular band wagon, I'm actually quite comfortable that we are not.

Still no goals from open play (am I allowed to voice that as a concern yet), 2 goals all season.. and the best team we've played is Norwich. Plus 20m spenton mmidfield an attack with Wanyama looking worse than cork by the game. Still. Today was always going to be ugly. Coulve easily lost against another team we can't break down. We have more points than we had from these fixtures last season. Just. And the true market will be anfield

Luke Shaw is on 25k a week as far as I know. The person who said 9k above... Lol Wtf. No chance he would stay here for that.
-
Are you not concerned that we don't seem to create or convert many chances? In 3 matches it has taken a penalty and poor defending in the dying minutes? That wont happen every week... We will at best get 10-15ish god a season from those means. Meanwhile the players don't seem to know where the target is!!! This needs to change, and soon, or we will find ourselves in trouble. Plus 1-0 wins are **** to watch :'(

Lambert has never stood in front of a united centre back twice his side at old trafford. Paused with the ball at his feet, locked in a close quarters, eye to eye mind battle, before poking it through his legs and smashing the ball into the net, all to the anguished amazement of old trafford. That said you have to love lambert for his passion and the fact that he has almost single handily dragged us through 3 divisions.

Sorry Barry, from someone who is young went to uni in soton and who has lived all around the south coast i would have to disagree with you. I have many friends who have settled in the area because of the forest and proximity to the coast whilst still being easy to get into London from. When I was working in Southampton, every single person loved the area and those that were there all said how lovely it was and would never move back (biased possibly)... But since then I have had to move away to Bristol and I have been back in the forest several weekends this year whilst every person I speak to who knows the area says how lovely it is and how lucky I am to get back there or to have lived there. And that isn't just in Bristol, that is from all over the country. You may slam it, but the new forest and surrounding areas are bloody stunning and I for one will be getting back there when the opportunity presents itself. For now, Bristol is a great place, more festivals (it is twice the size) but the scenery is nowhere near as nice. The only benifit of being this far west is that you can still get to London in 2 hours, but you can also get to North West Devon in 2 hours aswell, and Wales mixed blessing! How on earth you can slam the south coast, forest and surrounding areas is beyond me. And also, the comment you were responding to was about the forest and area, not Southampton as a city, which in truth does need a tad more culture. However argue point for point and explain why the new forest is nothing special. As for being bad for young people... Its frigging rural area not a town center... name me a hustle and bustle part of the countryside.. FFS.

West ham have got an appalling uptake, they were commenting on how embarrassing it was on their forum... saying, that because its sunday, 4pm and sky, they have more going to hull away...
-
Just checked out the west ham forum (checking out what their likely starting 11 will be on sunday - some have got down RVT as starting in lambert's position, but that is an aside). They also have a nice section on England Ukraine - I don't think there is one bad comment about lambert there, 2 people are discussing how, for england, Lambert > Rooney, and only one guy thinks carrol should be in the england squad by default. http://www.kumb.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=149323&st=0&sk=t&sd=a&start=40

Article on Osvaldo on sky sports: http://www1.skysports.com/football/news/11661/8913460/southampton-forward-daniel-osvaldo-says-roma-wanted-him-to-leave Shows that we don have one advantage in the new forest at least - quiet. I have always thought that it should work in our favour... for a lot of people, they work in London so they can retire to nice areas - if you can afford it you may as well live somewhere nice in the first place!

I'd be quite up for us signing "you're just a **** Rickie Lambert" at Rooney.

Morgan Schneiderlin eligible for a British passport?
Saint86 replied to Colinjb's topic in The Saints
He can actually. He was also asked it directly in an interview over the summer (I think it was saintsplayer) and he basically said that he would be flattered if the call up came, but that he wants to play for france one day. -
Tha article is a crock of **** and was written by someone with a GCSE grasp of english. He uses the word "clearly" three times in the space of two lines, gives him a 50% rating for heading in the top figure and then gives him 8/10 for it at the bottom. Total dross, can't believe that somthing that bad came out of sky.... But because it is positive about saints, lets just lap it up shall we? Do we really need someone who knows less than us about chambers telling us how good he is, whilst contradicting himself in the process? Or can we form your own opinion about it? Apparently we have to quote the reporter word for word like parrots :/

Why has everyone reverted to questioning the manger ?

Be honest here Batman, since you are always Mr Negative it seems.... Do you think that after the West Brom match, most fans would have expected to achieve at least another 4 from Sunderland and Reading. Certainly 3? It is blindingly obvious that the squad chemistry no longer works, we no longer have a best 11, and we still have no plan b, despite spending circa 35m. For the outlay, we should have done better vs Norwich and Sunderland... or are you saying it is okay to be mediocre? because to defend the last 2 games is basically saying its okay to be okay, when as a fan, I want us to always be pushing for the best we can be. -
His goals per game ratio is horrendus in the league. Unless he intends to play barnsley every week. I hope not! The only thing I will say is that we are solid. But you don't win unless you score first. and we don't look like scoring in open play!
-
Snodgrass didn't have the ball ffs. Not a pen, they pushed jostled with each other and snodgrass was weaker. Not a pen. Poch's fault. Left chambers exposed vs mr raw pace. Has no concept of how to play the counter attack, and played 2 many second string players. Why in ****s name did he take of lallana, we did nothing after that.
-
Do you have image rights for the player or for England.. May not be the best bet to advertise them on the internet if not.
-
Oh right, I thought we had Norwich away this weekend... Didn't realise it was the likes of spuds or manure instead. In truth 2-1 Norwich is a realistic score line. But sort your facts out next time!
-
Ring sky, they are offering it to existing and ex-customers so say that you want it. That's what we did.. Cue that package for a year. They offered it to 3 other people we know so we were dead certain in our negotiating position... I guess you lot will only have some guys comment on a forum to stand on... people may think I'm BS's, but that's there look out, can't believe I am getting flack for mentioning it (Essruu and others). At the end of the day, if they want to be abusive, then I am not fussed.
-
Spot on there, that thread is an embarrassment!
-
Wellbeck's goal vs Scotland marked his 6th goal and a 100% shots to goal ratio... This dropped to 6 goals/ 7shots following his ambitious bicycle kick later that game... He is **** and should not be allowed anywhere near england. Ffs. By comparison Lambert has a respectable 1/3 shots to goal ratio.. Despite and missed the two clear cut chances. Well beck is not an effective striker for man united... But he is for whatever reason for england. To say otherwise is to be frigging ignorant tbh

To put this in perspective, you can get all sky sports, movies, TV and BT sport for £14 a month of 2 devices or £19 per month on 4 devices then stream the odd game in pretty much top quality for free. You guys must be desperate to sign up for this dodgy ajs which could get canceled at any moment and has no custermer support....

People in the Kingsland North corner sitting down?
Saint86 replied to 100% Saint's topic in The Saints
You must be in the minority as most aren't doing it. The section of the fan base that want this need to petition the club and get it addressed. Perhaps for a vote by those with season tickets on their views on a small area of standing only. At present it seems a small minority want it and are content to moan about those who don't do it. -
There has been a lot of talk on here recently about lallana needing to make the step up and not doing enough in matches. There has also been talk since Saturday over jayrods performance on the weekend. Lallana - For me, he is a very good player when attacking box, taking on fullbacks or cutting inside, basically when he has the opposition on the back foot and can use his skill and agility to turn them inside out and beat players. In comparison when we are deeper in our own half, he seems to have more time and loves doing the tidy turns (reminded me of Fernandes) where he will happily keep the ball but not really do any damage with it or go anywhere. He also seems complacent like a lot of the team, when we are under no real pressure in our own half. Passes go astray, slower tempo etc. This was illustrated on Saturday in the two halves against sunderland. First half we sat back a bit, not enough urgency and no real tempo. As a result lallana wasn't able to get at Sunderland players and spent a lot of his time in the middle 3rd of the pitch. Second half we went for them, more attacking, stretched them out and lallana was able to get on the ball in and around their box and take put the defenders on the back foot, using his skill to beat men, get crosses in, win corners and also get one cracking shot away. Jayrod - Jayrod in my honest opinion is made for either counter attacking football or Pooch's high press style of game where we can intercept the ball high up the pitch and he can then run at defenders when they are out of position. He is all about quick bursts of speeds and running into space.. That is when he is most dangerous... As he did against Liverpool and co last season. Sunderland - against Sunderland, first half especially, we were not able to play either counter attacking nor a really effective press (Sunderland didn't play possession football) they just parked 11 men behind the ball and sat deep. And first half we did not attack enough but were content to pass the ball across the halfway line, not getting it into really dangerous positions and not really playing to the strengths of of our attackers who can beat a man and then get a cross in. Second half we did this and we created far more problems. And last week against west brom we went for them from the off and looked much more dangerous against an better team. In short, I think we do have very good attackers and we should use them more and get at teams. What are people's thoughts?
