    Che Adams

Che is bang average, I see know problem in selling him if we can use the funds to put towards a decent striker
  2. I don't think we'll be relegated, but I do think we'll struggle unless we can sign a decent striker. Brentford, Leicester, Everton, Leeds, Forest, Fulham and Bompey are the only teams I can see us finishing above.
  3. Teams that play a pressing game expend more energy. The 5 subs rule will allow us to be that bit more aggressive and bring on fresh legs without the team losing impetus towards the end of the match because too many players are tired.

  6. Leicester are 16/1 to go down - seems a very good price to me. Am I missing something?
  7. Fat Frank already blaming the players and talking them down, I'm glad he's not our manager. It's going to be a long hard season for them.
  8. Indeed. He is way way way too slow to ever play at fullback in the Premier League.
  9. Not even sure those players are "proven," neither of them have done that much. It's a mug's game paying that sort of money for them. We'll probably struggle playing kids, but one or two of them might turn out to be something special. Gives me some hope for the new season, anyway.
  10. Is he ready to compete for a first team place, or de we think he'll be farmed out initially?
  11. I guess I come across as facetious, but the point I was trying to make is that things don't always work out for players at new clubs. Morgan was great for us but ended up being poor at Everton. I can see Philips following a similar trajectory. He is no Kante.
  12. "like Morgan used to" - a player who moved to a bigger club and was shown up as not being good enough.
  13. We brought Lycano last season, and have given Stephens a new contract so I doubt they'll be off. My guess is one of Salisu and Bednarek is on the way out, and surely Valery too, unless we need him for fullback cover.
  14. Likes a tackle and a pop at goal: Edits his own Wikipedia page https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mattias_Svanberg What's not to like?
  15. I thought we were poor. Fraser's heroics kept us in it. Pleased with the win though 🙂
  16. "Real football" to me is something that's founded in a local community and culture. The money coming into the game has eroded that.
  17. Who cares? They've found their level and if they leave it, it'll only be temporary.
  18. That Reece James though. I can understand why they don't need Livramento.
  19. Not sure they're entirely happy with him, to be honest. "I have not seen a Pompey away crowd turn on the players like that for a long time, singing stuff like ‘Stuck in League One forever’. Danny Cowley was stood in the centre circle clapping everybody, but was getting so much abuse." https://www.portsmouth.co.uk/sport/football/portsmouth-fc/gaffer-portsmouth-players-are-going-through-the-motions-and-deserved-the-crowd-turning-on-them-3648214
  20. Stevie G is happy to offload Ings, according to the Mirror, who speculate that he could make a return to the South Coast https://www.mirror.co.uk/sport/football/transfer-news/aston-villa-summer-transfer-plans-26675697
  21. I'd be sorry to see Nathan leave, he was our best player a couple of seasons ago.
  22. Other clubs will have financial issues - I love Shane, but I find it hard to believe there won't be better bargains around than him
  23. That's 2 full games without a shot on target - they're on a roll
