  1. Mikey should wear hidden camera on a hair pin and live stream all happenings to TSW. From here we should move this further by then as a TMS collective deciding on all major life decisions for SM. It will be v interesting TSW experiment.
  2. I do have a spotify account, but I mostly use that as a "try before you buy thing". It's also good for my phone, which is the main reason I have it. If I like an album, and am going to listen to it a fair bit - I will buy it. I've recently got on the 6Music bandwagon, liking it so far.
  3. Yeah, slightly different player. More of a winger isn't he? But still a more attacking player.
  4. crikey, looks like they've already got a replacement in.
  5. http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-manchester-25858527
  6. Possibly, though creativity in the middle is lacking too. He's still a very good player, so can't see it hurting them - could possibly give the team a lift? Ala Ozil at Arsenal, who in himself has actually gone off the boil a bit since a cracking start. I don't know, pie-in-the-sky thinking here.
  7. Rumours on twitter he handed in a formal transfer request. May be just that, rumours, ofcourse.
  8. FFS Osvaldo. You don't help ya'self do you lad
  9. Personally, I'd take Walker as #1, Clyne as #2 - but I am obviously a bit biased.** I reckon it will be Walker & Johnson - barring injuries of course. Not sure who woy will pick as #1. **Let's face it the people who actually make these decisions are a lot better informed than I am
  10. Fair point. Hadn't thought about that - spose Utd aren't really a huge threat to them this season. They have also already spent £21m on Matic. £37m is a great sum for someone (unbelievable for his quality) that is 4th/5th choice.
  11. £37m! Surprised Chelsea actually accepted. Apart from RVP, it's not that often you see players move between the teams at the top here - seems more prevalent on the continent. Top player, is partly what they need - though won't solve their problems on his own. http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/25849959
  12. I agree. I think Moyes knew this, or the club too really. What is quite worrying for them was their inability to get the players they wanted in. That's not really been a problem for them before.
  13. Errrrm GS is TSW #1 ITK. Duh. Don't you know anything?
  14. Very fair point. Clyne has been for us too though, both last season and this (tongue in cheek). Just my opinion, I think Walker should be #1 right now. Clyne can go on to be better. Don't think there's a great deal in it though. Anyways, JRod is quality. Hard to value him, as I think we'd only entertain silly offers. I think MP rates him, as he sees to have a more prominent role than under NA (though one may legitimately argue that was in part to J settling into the club & PL). He seemed to be the player most improved since MPs arrival, certainly in the immediate period after mp came in.
  15. I agree and think he is better than Johnson. Something I will say that will probably be unpopular - I think Walker is better, and should be England's 1st choice RB.
  16. Hard to say really, obvious as it sounds, a player is only worth what someone is willing to pay for them. £20m? Who knows, possibly. I don't expect us to sell him anytime soon, but would be surprised if it was for anything less than £15m, given the reasons stated above.
  17. Daft Punk - Random Access Memories. I'm a big fan of these gents(/robots) and was extremely excited by their return and actually think they marketed the album pretty well - in that they generated a huge amount of buzz/hype around the release. Additionally, the lead track was a great track. Yes, it is bloody annoying now, but that is only becuase it has been overplayed I don't think that's entirely their fault. I could see what they were aiming for, and what they were trying and I don't begrudge them it - but ultimately the album was a massive anti-climax and a pretty flat, dull album.
  18. 2 of the Top 5 strikers in the world in my humble. Even if you dispute that, it's clear they are on a different level (with the greatest respect) to Rickie, JRod & Osvaldo. I'm also sure you would have something to say about someone else describing someone as an England Striker when they: A) Have played just 57 minutes for England & B) Played on the left-wing, not as a Striker.
  19. Yeah sorry mate. Sincere thanks for posting, it is a really nice story.
  20. My word, what is the point. You are either never going to get my point, or just determined to distort it. I said several times that history is for the fans. This sees to be your point too. Wow, I bit when you claimed I know nothing about branding, which given my job I do. Yeah, I probably should have just not risen to it, but I did. I wasn't trying to advise the club, or anyone on what they should do. I was giving my opinion of what the club has attempted to do, and why in my opinion it is the right way to go. As I said, yes, history is important to fans, of course it is. I have at no point denied this or tried to say otherwise. I just don't think for current staff and players, who have little or no affiliation to the club it is as important. I don't see that as a negative, just a fact. If I was a pro footballer, or offered an important back-room job I would be more concerned about the current state of the club, and the near future or what can be achieved in the short-term. These are the things I perceive as being more important to those within the club at the current time. I thought it was a discussion, you know what people have on a forum, where people had differing views. Clearly mine was a minority view, but I don't think what I said was that outrageous. If you then want to try and dig me out on a seperate thread, that isn't that connected (the focus of a football club vs an ad aimed at fans, using history and their experiences) crack on mate.
  21. Lol nice try. I said several times, history is for the fans and shouldn't be a #1 priority for a new CEO. But crack on mate - that's clearly too hard to follow.
  22. I don't necessarily disagree, but that I think that is from a fan's perspective. Players, advertisers, business will not be bothered about that happened at a club 30/40/50 years ago. What I was saying has been twisted. I was not saying history has no importance, I was saying that for me, it is of low priority for a CEO coming into the club.
  23. I'm not pretending it happened. It's coming from the club, players, media. The media perception was ever so important a few minutes ago. Now, less so.
