Who would YOU want to own/run the club?
KelvinsRightGlove replied to Fitzhugh Fella's topic in The Saints
Paid any attention over the past 4 1/2 years? Surely the fact he is 'hired helped' and not the owner means it is more likely the club can be sold and he stay on? If you were to buy a company you wouldn't dismiss the best people working for you. -
£11.5m in 2001 is probably more to a football club than £15m in 2013.

Yeah, I hate having people at the club that are ambitious and who want to shake things up a bit. We should just bow down to the big boys, know our place, and not even try to go any higher. We should simply acknowledge what an honour it is to be in the same league as them.

Fair play I criticise when you post nonsense. I fully agree with this. For me the best (not sure if possible) scenario is the Liebherrs sell and Cortese stays on. -

I'm largely a bit "mehh" towards Kasabian. Don't love them, don't hate them. Like some of their songs, others annoy me. I am told they are amazing live, never actually seen them myself. Agree though, they are basically Oasis from Coventry for the 2000's - which was pretty much their goal I thought. -

Kasabian are being strongly linked to headline Sunday night. That could potentially = Arcade Fire, Fleetwood Mac & Kasabian as headliners. http://www.gigwise.com/news/87567/kasabian-almost-certain-to-headline-sunday-at-glastonbury -

On this, Christine McVie has rejoined full-time and there may be another tour this year. http://www.nme.com/news/fleetwood-mac/74873?utm_source=facebook&utm_medium=social&utm_campaign=fleetwoodmac -
Having watched both eps last night, and having a little time to reflect I can't help feel this is a TOWIE/Made in Chelsea does Shameless if I'm honest. Not even the worst example of voyeurism on C4 - The Undateables anyone?

Oh Christ the immigrants. Watch the idiots on the right surface.

Watched some on the train home today. Have to say I really don't get the uproar. It's people (mostly lefties) getting up in arms as they like to. Twits like that f***ing Owen Jones. What a douche that guy is. The programme is what it is. It's obviously extreme, and selective, but it doesn't strike me at all as trying to be truly representative.

Pardew's Potty Mouth, is this what got him the sack?
KelvinsRightGlove replied to PaulSaint's topic in The Saints
Just any excuse for this really. -
This thread reminds me of the bit in Charlie Brookers 2013 Wipe on MT. Divisive, divisive, divisive.

People will never be happy. We play keep ball players like Cork, Davis etc who are tidy and keep possession. "We're slow and toothless". We play a playmaker, who looks to thread it through, or make something happen (aka not always the easy ball) like Gaston and he gets lambasted for losing the ball. Obviously I'm being a bit reductionist about it, but that's kind of the point. He was good yesterday, had something like a 94% pass completion rate, think he only got tackled once and made a goal. He hasn't lived up to the hype yet, true, but criticising him for yesterday is silly. Personally I hope he stays and comes good. Recent performances have been encouraging. But the jury is still out whether he can fit long term. I'm with Le Goddard above, would really like to see Gaston and Ossie given a run of games. Preferably when Big Vic is fit again, as he will give the extra protection in front of the defence - as I think we may sacrifice possession % to some extent.

Is your mum cooler than you too Bear?

Christ, you are a good man. Mum got off easy with me, took me to Limp Bizkit for my 12th birthday, then Greenday with a mate a year or so later. Still go to gigs together now, though luckily we have pretty similar taste. Got her Arcade Fire tickets for xmas, she was made up. Yes my mum is cooler than me

I enjoy Juvenile Unit #1/#2 Pap. Good Work. A colleague in our Stockholm office refers to her 2 daughters as Shortie 1 & Shortie 2, which also amuses me.
