...since 1958. According to this: http://www.mirror.co.uk/sport/football/news/liverpool-beat-manchester-united-arsenal-3068990#.UufVoxDFLmE Clearly not the most accurate of barometers, and hardly definitive. But still, kinda interesting.

Read the post tokes ffs. I was Gladbach, not Saints. Cortese was not at Gladbach.

I won the league & champions league. Is that not successful? Kept the board and fans happy at least.

Was useless for me on my Gladbach game on last seasons. Binned him off in favour of Lukaku.

Who thought we'd get a draw with City @ home with all those injuries? I thought we were in line for a kicking. Still don't really expect much other than a loss, though anything else I'd count as a bonus to be honest. Would like to see Gallagher get a start, early days of course, but he's looked promising thus far. G'warn lad, bag a winner!

Lovren - one of the best CB's in Europe

Funny, you were one of them. -

Lol, remember the usual suspects trying to tell us he was an underwhelming signing? -
The problem is people on here don't game to games*, some do, but a lot don't - hence them being on here. Myself firmly included in this. It's very hard to watch just one player on an internet stream. *Edit: re-reading that it seems wrong. What I meant was go to games regularly. Hence I agree with Turkish, when I do go, which isn't as often as I would like, I'd rather just enjoy the game.

January 2014 Transfer news & rumours
KelvinsRightGlove replied to Glasgow_Saint's topic in The Saints
Agree. Seems some fans just want signings for signings sake. Not just us, see Sunderland this year, ok they may just stay up, but they have far from improved as a side for the 14(ish) signings they made. Also, see QPR last season etc, etc. Funny the team at the top made just one meaningful signing in the summer, despite cries from every angle telling them they needed rafts of new players. -
"Need" new signing for prem league this season?
KelvinsRightGlove replied to NickG's topic in The Saints
We need 18 signings in every window, but we should never drop any current first XI player, though if the new player does play every game and isn't amazing straight away he is useless -

Yeah there are pictures of him with Solskjaer and a Cardiff shirt with #34. Chill Winston. -

Probs just an error. -
In fairness, United are quite good for that.

Those fees can still rack up. At least when you buy a player outright, you are able to sell them, and recoup some of the initial outlay. If we sold Ossie, I imagine we'd probably still get around £10m - so it's not a HUGE loss really.

Loans aren't exactly "free".

There are 100's of these types on Twitter. Much like some of the resident planks on here - throw enough sh!t at the wall, some of it will stick. Wouldn't be too worried by what he says to be honest.

The Southampton Transfer Committee...

didn't he get like 10+ goals in the Champ promotion season? How exactly is that "in spite" of him? Sounds like he contributed to me. -
Man Utd bid for Mata accepted
KelvinsRightGlove replied to KelvinsRightGlove's topic in General Sports
Good signing for Utd. I really like Mata, cracking little player, so in my opinion signing someone of that quality is always a good thing. Obviously he alone won't solve all their problems, but it certainly won't hurt. Think him and Rooney could really hit it off. Agree some quality shielding players are needed, as well as some top quality full backs. Still think stories of it's death are premature, can't shake the feeling they'll sneak top 4 and rebuild from there. At the expense of Liverpool. Though, I could be very wrong. -
Saw it last night. That scene there, oh my word. Serious cinelobbage.

First band I ever saw. Mother took me to some outdoor thing to see them as a kid. Not a big Oasis fan, but DM is a brilliant album. Slide Away is my fave, by a long way. -
