  1. So we had the Cork family member, now we have the Reed family member! You and verlaine should get lost. Davis played a really good game yet missed a great chance terribly. It's not fair to say he was great because he should've scored, but to say everything you and the other troll say about him shows your true colors.
  2. Rarely assists, yet creates a goal vs. Burnley. Doesn't create anything, yet he created 2 chances for Tadic. I rest my case. You are not objective when talking about Davis. And surprisingly you're not the only one here. Guess having someone local on the side competing for a similar position has the tendency of creating an unfair animosity against the other player amongst fans.
  3. Before 2003, when had we last played in Europe? Surely in the 80s?
  4. I'm not that convinced about our Dutch or Dutch league signings to be honest. To be sure, I believe Pelle has been unlucky, and maybe his form earlier on tricked us with regards to his true abilities and potential, but I do think he is a decent striker for what we fight for. But I think Tadic has been that kind of signing that started strongly because he was relatively unknown and could surprise PL defenders fairly simply, but after a while he's become very ineffective. Djuricic and Elia haven't shown anything that indicates that they should be signed permanently. Of course Clasie seems like a good prospect, and so does that Vilhena fella. But we forget how attacking-minded the Eredivisie is. There is always a lot of space for forwards to run at, and the defending is rather shocking (same goes for most of the goalkeeping). The PL is much more physical, and spaces are much harder to find. And I think that's the one aspect Koeman must change in his tactics. Earlier in the year we were committing many more players forward, it was working because although we weren't given that much space, we had options so we could pass it around and swing teams to find a break. Now we attack with much less players, and that has affected our effectiveness upfront. The wingers are expected to beat many more players, Pelle is expected to receive the ball much further back while having to rush to finishing positions, and we look like a team split in two.
  5. I love how Steven Davis gets blamed. Last season he often had 4 players and much more attacking-minded FBs to pass the ball to. Now he has to figure out where to go with the ball as all he's got is an island of a striker in Pelle and two wingers who unless they're given 3000 miles ahead of them don't seem up for it. Worse than that, unlike earlier in the season, our FBs don't seem to get that much involved in our attacks. Yet this forum, much because he keeps JWP out of the side and got Cork out of the squad, has decided he is the reason Bloody Sunday happened. If any player has been hard done by Koeman's tactics this year, and has had to put up with the most rubbish of jobs, it's Steven Davis. Not that people like verlaine (Swansea not at their sharpest today eh?) or others who've decide he's the illness will see that. After all, this is still the same forum that claimed Ramirez was a superstar and that Hooiveld was the only PL-worthy player of our promotion season defense.
  6. One assist. Keep crying.
  7. I swear Stoke last season was a category C game where as the season before (first back, last game of the season) it was a category B game?
  8. Because he is plotting to break the Good Friday agreement. That and the fact people may actually not mind losing, something that has mostly happened...without Davis on the pitch!
  9. Give Wanyama another season.
  10. Why don't you just shut up. Your participation in this forum is dire. You do nothing but lie about Davis. You give him no credit when it's due and insist in telling people he is the reason we don't challenge Chelsea. The reason for it I'm yet to figure out: either you're a relative of one of the other midfielders, or you're a Celtic fan, or simply deluded. Now you compare Ramirez (where was he today?!?) to a player who, stats tell us, seems to absent from most of our...defeats! Dear lord.
  11. Oh wow, that's a bigger change than what I had understood. Sorry guys! I think I'm right in saying that the cup runner-ups don't get the spot though? So EL group spot 2 will be either a cup winner who is not in the CL/EL league spots or the team below 5th?
  12. He will, but for that he needs to get real and stop with his "Midas touch" signings in Djuricic and Elia.
  13. As long as we don't question our existence (hard to avoid I know), I see no problem in complaining about a defeat to Everton. Maybe we shouldn't have celebrated any of the goals we scored in L1 because we were in the PL 5 years before that?
  14. 6th place guarantees EL anyway because Chelsea are heading to the CL and won the League Cup. What could happen is that 5th place does not guarantee direct access to the group stage, which depends on who wins the FA Cup. The only change is that losers don't make it to Europe. If Arsenal win and qualify for the CL, then 5th will be awarded a spot in the EL group stage. This also means that the 7th team gets a EL place. If someone else wins, they will be awarded with that spot and the 5th placed team will start in the play-offs, meaning the 6th placed team starts in the 3rd qualifying round. No spot for 7th.
  15. After the "if you're foreign, you're good" trend, now comes the "if you're English, you must come good" trend to PL football. Guess it's better than the previous one.
  16. This is not the Swansea forum!
  17. Depending on the FA Cup, 5th place could take us automatically to the Europa League group stage, which would be much better I believe.
  18. The thing is he didn't! It's just another lie being repeated to exhaustion.
  19. From Davis the underrated, this forum has gone to Davis the one dragging us back. And guess what? His performances have been at exactly the same level as always, even though Koeman has used him in almost all the midfield positions, the one he's used him the least in being his normal one! As for Djuricic, he'll say whatever suits him. Recently to a Portuguese newspaper he said his number one goal was to come back to Benfica.
  20. This is the performance that will secure Schneiderlin's departure in the summer.
  21. He missed no more than 2 passes the whole game and was playing really well. Just because you belong to the JWP army doesn't mean you have to lie.
  22. The ball's in, but Tadic shouldn't take a penalty for us again.
  23. If Forster doesn't come for that then he will never claim a cross in his life again
  24. Terrible shot by JWP as usual but great follow-up!! YES
  25. Djuricic = Davis minus passing tempo/defensive work/picking up possession from the defense = not as good
