I both agree and disagree. Fullbacks are very important in the game today, I just think that you can get a very good young fullback in for £7-8m while a AM in Lallanas class would cost up close to £20m. And for us, yes fullbacks are important too but I think our problem is that we dont have enough players in the box when Shaw and Clyne comes forward and make their crosses, if we had that I´m sure Luke could have at least 5 assists in a season, if not more.

The thing is that the environment Krueger comes from, hockey in general and especially NHL, they meet media practically every day. After every training session they meet the media, they do it before every game and after every game since they have rules that the media is allowed into the dressing room 10 minutes after the game is over + all press conferences they have. They are very professional about it and media trained but it´s an environment that uses clichées on a daily basis..

Personally I think Shaw is easier to replace, but also think it´s more likely for Lallana to go. Overall the situation would be better the other way around, Shaw bringing more money and from a position where it´s cheaper to find decent/good alternatives, and of course no Bournemouth clause cause that one really hurts now... But all really comes down to what is done with the money that comes in. If it goes straight into the squad it´s fine, if not....well you all understand.

Transfer windows just regulate when players can start playing in their new club, deals can always be made.

Valuing Cork to £7-8m is the same as thinking he´s s*it? Ok if you say so, what´s your value of him then....£15m?

would be stupid to sell before WC imo. Not only could the players value rise but if Ralph thinks the commercial side is so important it will be good for the club to actually be seen on players bio during the WC. Sell Shaw before WC and the only thing the world will see is that he is a Manchester United player...

For people watching mostly our games I´d expect some shout for Redmond since he had one good game against us... But if you´ve watched him more you realise he´s not very consistent at all yet....

£20m + Kagawa. (they bought him for £20m, that value should be around £15m now after his last two seasons. Sums it up to a £35m value of Shaw...)

I think it happens quite often in football...

Yes....but the question should be, how many times... -
Pretty naive comment, but not as bad as Hofstetters about the financial difficulties imo. THAT one really opened the floodgates for journos to speculate...

Would feel so much like a missed opportunity. The value in the squad has risen so much so you dont have to put much money into the squad if you manage the value the right way. As much as I dont want to lose a player like Shaw, selling him for about £30m is a figure you can use much better in the squad, at to that selling Osvaldo and then add another £10m from the club and you´ll have a manager with a great opportunity to reshuffle and strengthen the squad big time. Good LB wouldn´t cost more than £5-7m, find players from relegated teams that might have a relegation clause and you can find good players for decent money. Add to that with a player or two on a free transfer just to size up the squad a bit. I think we need to add 3-4 more attacking players, both from AM and Striker position so this will be where the most of the funds should be used to.. Keep the rest and move on into a preseason with a squad that is 3-5 players bigger and with additions from the academy we could find ourselves in a good position... Well, one can dream at last but next year there is no world or euro cup so players should feel they dont desperately has to move this summer, especially since noone would move into a definite first XI player in any of the CL teams IMO...

I had us drawing last week at Swansea but winning today. That makes me correct, one win and one draw......but the bookies say they wont pay me, why? (didn´t read Munsters reply beofre I wrote...)

Aids doesn´t kill you fast though so you will probably live a few more years with a big smile on your face -
Can someone just make Ray Hoguhton shut up!!

Could live with selling Shaw + Osvaldo. Give MP that £30-40m + another £10m and we could build a stronger team. Let the rest of the Sky Money and other incomes take care of the debt and running costs. That would be in the area of £90-100m and if that doesn´t strengthen the finances at the club I dont know what will and at the same time build the team and therefor the club stronger...

Why just not admit that you were wrong. Or why did you choose Liebherr in your OP?? Why not Apple, McDonalds or KFC?

Did you just use his name? And twice?

Strange.....I heard that the deadline were november 23rd....but that there will probably be a decision before that.....probably...maybe....eventually...

Maybe we should scrap some tickets together for our body language experts on the forum and then we might have all the answers sunday night instead of waiting the whole summer?

The good thing is that we are rubbish at meltdowns....as shown in january...

I think you might find answers in their transfer history going 5 yrs back...

No one ever said that one of Rupert Lowes worst mistakes was signing Morgan Schneiderlin. No one ever said that...

Hours apart. Find me a manager somewhere that never ever used "his" supposedly signing and I might start to believe MP was even slightly involved in the signing of Forren...
