Think we need to find players in a similar situation as Lovren last year. Players that have shown a high level but with an average season behind them. Players in that situation can be quite cheap compared to the level they have previous shown. The one we talked about last summer, Ever Banega, would be in that category. Anyone taking a punt on him would probably get him for £5-7m which is a bargain if he can find his old form and level in his game. Another younger one would be Viktor Fischer in Ajax. Had a great season 12/13 but this last one has been quite average. Very talented and could benefit from a move at the moment IMO. Oscar Cardozo from Benfica, although his struggles this year has been due to injuries but think he could be prized away for under £10m now.

Surely you dont think selling Ramirez/Osvaldo would give us £20m as rubbish as you think they are?

This talk about MP not wanting Europa League is a non-factor for the Spurs job. They actually have a squad that could cope with it, we dont. Their "failed" season in the league is more down to not having performed to their standard rather than distraction of Europa League games.

Selfishly for Saints I had some kind of hope he wouldn´t make the cut for their WC squad to get a rest now followed by a proper preseason....

Lovren all the way for me. Already the voice on the pitch leading the line and one of few to be certain to play all games when available.

Sky Money + other incomes should cover that debt even if we dont spend another pence and use the money coming in for transfers for the squad.
