  1. Nope, it was easy to see he was an asset to the team. If you know what makes a good player of course.
  2. Some loose defending but we put their backs under so much pressure that they couldn't settle and get their midfielders in decent positions to move forward that often. The best thing about the way we are playing is that there is an enthusiasm and confidence in the team that is impressive for the end of the season. Bodes well if we can keep this squad intact where we want to and add for next season's campaign and genuine European push.
  3. Still the daftest post topic of the season by a country mile. It's very easy to question the judgment of people who supported this notion.
  4. Frank Lampard is absolutely not the player we need but we could do with more goals from midfield. RK has said that midfielders need to contribute goals in decent numbers so you can imagine someone like that is on his wish list for Les and the rest of the board etc. to go and get in the summer. Not that there are many obvious players around of course. But then Alli wasn't obvious before this season so hopefully the black box will come up trumps.
  5. Where did I suggest the board had dropped the ball? I was merely saying that to move on to another level, we need better players, Ronald would know that and if the board's ambition is to move on, they'll know it too.
  6. The key thing here is action. If there is a five year plan that sounds ambitious, it needs to be backed up with actions such as not letting any of our best players go this summer, and getting even better new players in. If this doesn't happen, Ronald will know that there isn't really the genuine possibility of the strategy working. He knows good players and he knows that to move on, the team needs more improvement. The good news is that if there is a strategy, the people who are the current stewards of our club will also know this and be prepared to back it.
  7. There are worrying opinions here on what coach/manager would work for us. We need to either keep Ronald or get a coach with dynamic ideas who wants to coach and develop players like Poch. One thing is for sure and that is if Ronald does leave, we should be able to get some of the best managers in the business outside the 'big' names attracted to work here, especially with the increase in revenue compared to other leagues and clubs.
  8. Highly unlikely
  9. We play best when Steven Davis plays best
  10. So basically, we will start seeing the rewards from Les' direction and leadership soon.
  11. Pretty sure we've finished in the top ten 3 times before, obviously before the Premier league when believe it or not, football did exist. Anyway, 8th is not to be sniffed at given that we have been inconsistent this year and were well off form for a couple of months.
  12. I mentioned what is happening at Spurs, therefore...have a think about what I meant.
  13. Are you seriously asking for people's thoughts on Shane Long? Seriously after how many f$$$$$g stupid posts about him!
  14. What if the club aren't that bothered about him signing a new deal? You can't help but think they're casting an eye towards what's happening at Spuds and think that Poch's way of coaching got more out of our players, and thinking is there anyone else like that out there?
  15. Which one?
  16. Some Sierre Leone diamond mine run by gangsters...oh wait, that would be a company who would sponsor those down the road. Oh wait again, it was guns for them.
  17. The players might not be that good but there'd be hundreds of great managers
  18. What a great deal, regardless of having no idea on the money, Under Armour is going places, just as we hope to be doing for the next seven years and more.
  19. They'll give Leicester one award and make sure one of the big clubs win something too so they don't cry
  20. And £6m a season was for for everything so kit and sponsors, not just the kit deal! Ralph said he club would increase the commercial revenue and if the above is true then the next deals will be even more...we march on to use the mantra!
  21. I actually knew al of those apart from the trains sponsoring ...you da man
  22. Hmmm, how can this be explained to someone who has to ask this question? Go have a think about it, maybe read a little about addiction then you can come to the conclusion yourself. Kind of similar to alcohol, smoking, fatty foods, sugary drinks etc. They are individual choices for people to make but they aren't necesserily good for you so promotion of them might be seen as being less morally aware. Perhaps that will help you understand what a moral stance might mean. If the club go with a betting sponsor, then so be it but let's not pretend what betting can cause is good for some people.
  23. Ok thanks, and my response about Coke was that they wouldn't do it to a suggestion on the previous post. I wouldn't want coke on the shirt either, apart from the fact that it would be a rock star's favourite shirt pretty quickly
  24. Sorry superhero, where did I say that? I can't see it! Probably because it doesn't say it. Go read it again.
  25. Be interesting to see what the facts are about the Under Armour deal when they're properly announced. As for sponsors, Coca Cola sponsor massive events only so not going to be them. Virgin probably wouldn't sponsor a football club either. It'll probably be someone no-one has heard of who need to let people know what they do. Can't imagine a club that often positions itself with a moral stance would go down the route of betting unless the money is spectacular of course!
