  1. I agree. There were certainly a lot of interesting posters who don't bother anymore. I think a forum should be about gossip, and presumed ITKers, and wit, and debate, whereas some would have this site as meerly a bored for cheerleading.
  2. Was it the same company currently being used?
  3. If a club is well managed it doesn't need a PR. So yes Saints need a PR.
  4. There maybe better players around, but good or bad the only players who deserve abuse are those that don't try; and James always gives 100%
  5. While I agree with the basic part of your thread about NC not making decisions based on what posters say on fans forum, i do have a problem with the idea there are a number of posters who want to see the club implode. I don't think there is a single regular poster on this site who doesn't have the best interests of the club at heart. Even the ones I think nearly always talk nonsense. And your assumption that there are is one of the downsides to this forum. Everyone will have differing views about who the manager should be, who the owner should be, who the CEO should be and what these respective people should be doing. But to suggest that anyone who might hold a contrary view to the majority has either an agenda (something often mentioned by other posters) or wants anything but the best for the club I think is nonesense.
  6. It was a fair point from JRM. No fans, no club, just an empty stadium, and a handful of very expensive players to pay.
  7. Yeah, a good critique of Sunrise, and the only option I think unless the one in the precinct is still going.
  8. Oh for crying out loud, do we really need yet another 'Cortese is great' thread???
  9. Those days seemed more fun. The element of 'evangelical zeal' that is now required if you're to be considered a real fan didn't exist. You could wear a Saints scarf, own a season ticket, and happily 'boo' any poor performance, and look forward to next Saturday. Booing a lacklustre performance or questioning the CEO is now tantamount to high treason.
  10. A good post Noodles and sums things up for me. I don't personaly know any of the Saints Trust or SISA. Some of what they say I agree with, some I don't. But they are a bunch of fans who have been prepared to come out from behind their keyboards and actively do something, and for that they get a shed load of abuse from warriors on here.
  11. Most of the injuries suffered have just been bad luck, some could possibly be put down to lack of fitness. But sacking a manager popular with the players after a 0-4 away win, after only 3 games of the season, isn't going to help.
  12. Banning the local press Thinking he can ban press photographers and get away with it. Banning fans that criticise him. Rip off booking fees. Charging traveling Saints fans for parking in the car park on away days. Sacking a manager capable of promoting us after three games. Very bad PR surrounding the signing of a new manager. To name but a few. However, all these minuses have to be balanced against the excellent youth policy I hear he is putting in place and the investment to training facilities, two policies often over looked by owners who are in a hurry. Which makes it all the more galling he can screw up the easy bits so often.
  13. All this would prove is that SISA does or does not represent the users of Saintsweb. As interesting a site as this is, I don't think it is ever a fair representation of Saints fans as a whole.
  14. Good post FF. Not least to see all the ex-Lowe luvies, now Cloteses' groupies, fall over themselves to have a pop at Saints legends. Good sport.
  15. And they will continue to do so, as will others, until the the FA/Premier League grow a pair. Don't hold your breath.
  16. Odd that the new man has not been made available to the press. (BBC South Today)
  17. The WSC article is a good read. And we do have a lot to be grateful to NC for. But he's not referred to as 'Clotese', allegedly;) for nothing.
  18. It's was foreseen by my great uncle, Docker Warlock III, who predicted on his death bed that should Saints forsake the red & white stripes, misery, pestilence and plague would befall the city. One down, two to go.
  19. Far be it for me to be anything other than pessimistic, (it's an age related problem) but I think you're right. The right man in, not Browne or Howe, and the season is still very salvageable. And extra signings would be good in January, but, when they are all fit the squad is capable of promotion as it is.
  20. Possibly the only non contentious posting for days. Those are the known facts, as for the unknown facts it's difficult to say.
  21. Or I might be a 15 year old girl, and then you would probably just about fancy your chances, you spineless tw8t
  22. I think the first abuse came fro you and tory boy.
  23. Now we really do know you are a *****. So you're saying you're going to meet me in person I'm a knob, to my face?
  24. Oh please, another internet warrior. Try the simple rule of not posting anything you wouldn't say to somebody's face you *****
  25. CAre to meet me and say that to my face?
