No he's not; and naive posters like you need to remember Cortese is on Corteses side. All i care about and all I've ever cared about is what is best for Southampton FC; and yet again what is best for Southampton FC is not what NC has done. If you want to support NC go ahead. I'll support Southampton FC.

I think you'll find the S****horpe chairmen will call it a result. It's yet another NC balls up that has put pay to that deal. And any manager will know they were second choice now. You got to love NC 'midas' touch
-
Translates as "We've been caught with our trousers down fiddling"
-
It's astonishing how one person can ricochet from one self made problem to the next, leaving a trail of havoc in his wake. If the Llibhear family want us in the premiership asap they need to drop this clown. Lowe and Cortese? We don't half pick 'em.
-
You are joking right? It's just that it so clearly nonsense but you didn't put a smiley thing after it. It depends how long they had to run on their contracts, but i would imagine they would be close to fully paid up. And compensation to SUFC, £150-£200K is my guess.

When your other half expresses an interest to going to a game, careful selection of the fixture can be benificial. I took mine to see Saints play Gillingham, at Gillingham, League cup 2nd round, open terrace, rain. She's not expressed an interest in going since.

Jesus, you're brave. I presume you all sat together?
-
Here here to that.
-
Oh well, I'm sure we'll all get behind the new man.
-
Do tell us what those reasons were, i like everyone else would love to know your facts on this.
-
You are a women of great taste and integrity.
-
Please don't let this be true.

Your girlfriend appears to have great intellectual depth and insight. Leg it while you can.

The management structure itself is not the issue. FWIW I think this continental structure makes a lot of sense. What is the issue is which managers can work with it. This structure appears to have cost us a manager most people thought was likely to get us promoted this year. I can't see MoN or KK working with this structure. Maybe MoN was approached but decided he wasn't interested because of this structure. We'll never know.
-
I think KK would be a good appointment, and more likely than MoN

I think it's Zola, or possibly an as yet unnamed Italian. Or Gus Poyet.

5Live Now on an awful week for Saints supporters

I don't know Illingsworth. I've heard him being interviewed a number of times, sometimes I've agree with him sometimes not. I suggest all those on this thread heaping abuse on Illingsworth, give there name and number to BBC for future reference, and make themselves available for quotes and interviews, and we can all sit around and call them a c**t. -
You can't get a price on Souness either! Maybe it's an Adkins/Souness dream team.
-
I like your thinking too. It's never going to happen but I like it.

Bloody 'ell! What's Illingsworth done to deserve such abuse from nearly everyone? I've got no opinion about the guy one way or another, but the fact everyone hates him makes me feel a certain sympathy for him. -
Yeah alright. Probably.

Let me teach you. You pay for access. You can get 'accreditation' and sit pitch side or you can buy a ticket and snap away. The latter would almost certainly be in breach of the conditions of sale of the ticket, and would get you banned, however photos from an 'accredited' photographer don't mean 'edited which is what buying from an 'approved supplier' is. Sport like theatre is about access, however the content, ie what happens, is a news event which is free to report. And if you made yourself aware of the Society of Editors objection to NCs latest policy you would know it is about the Freedom to report, that is behind their advice to all papers not to buy from SFC. Please be more specific about what is factually incorrect about the highlighted sentence. The press is NOT allowed to report on anything at their free will? A free press is NOT the corner stone of democracy? A sporting event is NOT just another news event? OR photography is NOT another way of reporting?

Oh please not that old chestnut. The whole point of a forum like this is to express opinions, realistic or otherwise; you've just done it. No i don't know why NC sacked AP. But I've formed an opinion based on certain evidence. And short of AP being sacked for Gross misconduct, (which he hasn't because there would be no 'no disclosure' contract so we would all know about it, and the other two wouldn't have been sacked as well) there is no possible justification to sacking a manager capable of promotion just 3 games into a new season. Please feel free to form an opinion on my post at will.
-
I think you're right about the debt we could be saddled with if Liebherr estate pulls out. Which makes their objective of reaching the Premiership in 3 years all the more imperative. And that is not helped by NC sacking AP when he did. I was no particular fan of AP, as my many posts on him will attest. But i did think he would take us up this year, as did the vast majority of posters on this site. And now? Well appointing a new manager is always a gamble. And NC has taken that needless gamble, another poor decision, another hurdle to over come to reach the premiership, and a bigger chance we won't make it before the Liebherr family loose patience.
