Take the football out of football and there's no problem Of course everyone would do the same in his shoes and move to the bigger club for silly wages. Not everyone would say they didn't want to be playing at their previous club last year. Even in a non-football world of employment, his previous employers wouldn't thank him for his statement. Rumours of his actions don't endear him to me either, but they are just that, rumours. I've no ill will against him, I just think he's a bit of a four letter word, the full pager has done nothing to change my opinion

Lallana completes move to LFC for a fee of around £25m

I don't trust crook in the slightest. Guan on the other hand has proven over time to be well informed and restrained. Bit different for tadic as it's not the same league. If we signed someone from Sunderland who said he'd spent last year hoping to play for us, I'd think he was a **** -

"Lulz don't worry lads, me and rickie are just gonna score 12 own goals first game then quit. Saints4lyf" Can't see anything else doing much to change opinion too much just now. -

Anyone should be able to live the rest of their lives in utter luxury on the money he was on at Saints, even if he retired at the end of his existing contract. This guff about having to make as much as possible due to the short length of the career of a football player doesn't wash. He of course wants to earn as much as possible, but lets face it, he wouldn't be struggling if he stayed here. So that's the bottom line, desire to earn more cash, not need. He may have played for Saints for a while, but he has most certainly gained a lot more from Saints than vice versa. The gratitude he is owed depends on that which he gives. None. I may be proven wrong, but i just don't see him playing a major role there, so if he is going for success then I hope he's happy with a John Terry role in the pictures. -

*badge kiss* *badge kiss* Deep down, I was thinking to myself: hopefully one day I'll be able to play in that team *badge kiss* I think we can put paid to the rumour that he isn't a cvnt -
Invoice from estate agent after changing to competitor.

Your position would depend on the precise wording of the contract. If there is wiggle room though, it would certainly be worth arguing your point. You would be looking at misrepresentation because you were led to believe you would only pay if they completed the sale. For mis-rep, you need a statement of fact ("you only pay if we complete the sale"), this statement must have induced the contract (I thought this was a good deal, can't lose because we'd have definitely sold the house) and that the statement turned out to be false (they are claiming you have to pay regardless). -
Only an idiot wouldn't believe this FACT

Whoop, we get to watch a team of "oh yeah didn't he play for someone else united"'s next year. I'd be happy to hear us sign any one at the moment. When's the tea lady's contract up?

My thoughts exactly. Wish him well, conducted himself with restrain but ultimately it's reconfirmation that money has ruined any pretence of competition at the top.

will we see Suarez in our first match? (Answer: No.)

I'm not saying either is ok. You're suggesting what suarez did was harmless. -

wonder if you'd say the same if your son or daughter got bitten after some scamp copied the harmless nibble they saw on tv. -
But he didn't. That's the main point here. We're just dragging his name through the mud comparing him with Osvaldo.

I wonder when the 'final final definitely the final last offer honest mate' offer will be made And majority up front could mean anything from £13m up

I understand it completely, I feel the same as professor. Not to the point of not wanting them to play but certainly lacking the excitement I felt when they were included in the squad. Guess we just feel a different connection to the club and players.

Not really sure if this is serious, there are several logical and factual fallacies. Scenario A suggests our players are very clear on their future but in scenario B, they are all at sea. There is no suggestion as to why this might be. You seem to be suggesting that by rejecting a bid, other clubs are more inclined to bid for our other players. Very odd. “Can I buy your car mate, £2000?”, “no, sorry” “Excellent, he must want to sell his bike”. I seem to recall there was mention that we'd told Liverpool the price was £25m Also, rejecting a bid does not look amateur. Let me put it this way: Scenario C: 1) Flimby flamby, whosy woosy 2) Please keep arms inside the car 3) Jack mickle dongle flob 4) Result: We win the world cup Scenario D: 1) Hum dun yooter flob 2) Formal evening wear only 3) Thinder outquop vertican 4) Result: Everyone dies Debate me, I bet you can’t prove me wrong.

Little doubt that Shaw is going then. It would seem that Lallana has left the house in his undercrackers but forgot his keys, only to have the front door slam shut. If he can get himself sorted, I'd be happy for him to remain, but not as captain. If he can't deal with that then he's got some soul searching to do. I've personally never had any doubt that KL was here to stay, but it's a very interesting use of 'the new striker'...

For me, before Koeman was announced, I was dreading the 'big' names leaving. Mainly because it signaled an end to the journey. It now seems to be a mere change of drivers. If Koeman can help convince those with itchy feet to stay on the bus then that's great, but only if they truly want to stay. If they go, then so be it. He can't be held to ransom for it. It's more indicative of the state of football and the disgusting amount of money involved than any problems at Saints. However I'm much less concerned about them leaving than I was two weeks ago.

Fantastisch! Great appointment, exactly what was needed. Even if lallana and shaw go, I'm excited to see what happens by the start of the season. Hopefully this will settle the other players who were reported to be making noises about departure.

Delia Smith. Her rousing speaches aside, football knowledge is lacking somewhat.

You're right. But there are exceptions within the regulation. Section 6 (2)(b)...I work dealing with claims for consumer contracts.
-
You're thinking of distance selling regulations. The short answer is no, you can't cancel unless it's in the terms of the contract.

If he goes before the WC, I'll be completely gutted. If he goes after the WC, I'll be disappointed that he won't be at Saints, but otherwise delighted for him If he stays, fantastic. But it seems all that's happened so far is a bid has been made and rejected. Just like RK said...there may be transactions, but on our terms.
