Now THAT makes sense.
-
Which to sell first. The board obviously took decisive action on it.

Morgan's all but gone.
-
Without a wage cap, we can't compete. We will always be grasping to keep them as long as possible but inevitably sell them.

Morgan and Jay to Follow According to Simon Peach

Osvaldo and Chambers only started two games together. Norwich and Man City. Gazza was in goal for the game against city and Fox started against Norwich. -
At the moment even the crappest marshy barren lawn is greener

F\/ck me -
My point was merely that he hasn't gone yet. Emphasis on "yet". I have very little doubt he will be going.
-
Absolutely not. Your post will no doubt be correct if posted this time next week.
-
But OldNick said "If we had been able to keep them" Semantics rather than substance

Morgan hasn't gone...yet

Greece won the European Championship, could work out OK.
-
I could be a slow central defender. Never scored an own goal though.

Detachable head. Ask Lovren.

Southampton supporters need a reality check, says Kevin Davies

3 or 4 good signings and all will be good. 3 or 4 signings we can do no problem. 3 or 4 good signings is more of a task. -
It would seem to me that Chambers has asked to go, the only reason this would make sense. Sadly Arsenal are a big pull. We might have added a big sell-on percentage though.
-
I'd be very surprised if Chambers doesn't leave soon.
-
No thanks. Just get some players in.
-
I agree, right now the club need to sign players. Nothing else (aside from maybe stopping the sales). I was just pointing out that blackmore was saying they should make a statement.
-
I think the fact that KL obviously doesn't want to sell the club is positive. She and her father have provided financial stability. With the state of money and football at the moment, this has to be admirable. We might struggle a bit next year but as a club that isn't at the top table, that must be expected. And we are safe in the knowledge that our finances are sustainable.
-
Absolutely, but it's remarkably easy to make finances seem fine to a potential purchaser. Not very easy to pretend we haven't sold 4 of the first team.
-
The tweet isn't just about that though. The point he seems to be making is that we need a statement from the club. He also said in another tweet he doesn't think the club is for sale. And logically points out that the club is a far less attractive purchase now.
-
You do not sell your best assets if you intend to sell a business. Right now, precisely because of the player sales, saints look to be in a mess from an onlookers perspective. Not inviting for a purchaser.
-
Good to hear, as is the whole of the article. I'm not cracking open the party poppers just yet though. The "you will not get this player for less than £XXm" is very reminiscent of the recent past.
