Of the new signings, I thought Tadic looks very good. Pelle didn't have the best game, looks like a slow SRL, might need time to adjust. Thought Wanyama had a great game, passing and keeping the ball seems to have improved - great through ball just before Clyne's goal. As usual the turnips with the microphones were talking some amount of sheite. From that game, apparently Liverpool are closer to winning the league this year than they were last year because it's three points they didn't get last season whereas Saints "might not" be looking over their shoulder [at relegation]. There's me thinking it was quite close.

From an outside perspective, I just can't see it. The club seem to be wanting to project a powerful position in stating he will not be leaving. To start with him, unless there's been significant contrition during training / private discussions would send the opposite message. Of course he needs to have the route back to the first team open, so would expect a bench position, maybe a sub.

Shocking news that. Presumably those who are fussed by his opinion think we'll win by a fair few then? Everyone's entitled to an opinion and tbh, predicting a liverpool win is a reasonable one.

Very pleased with this one, fills a much needed position. Seems a reasonable fee as well.

He's got no control over how much we pay for him, so will get full support as deserved. Think £12m is far too much but no doubt a reflection of a number of factors pushing the price up.

Diminishing returns I would think. If they ban tablets and computers they eliminate the possibility of explosions over a given 'size' for want of a better word (bigger size = bigger bang). Banning phones simply wouldn't be practical so it is a risk that they are willing to assume. Re the bags, it is easier to discover a bag bomb compared to a filled tablet/laptop. I would say that it is a balance between minimising risk while minimising inconvenience.

So they have the copyright issues covered elsewhere then? It would seem odd to introduce new rules to achieve what is governed already.

Fair enough, which is why I think a fair few have questioned FF's signing. We needed a back-up, not a replacement. Would be a sad day to lose Boruc.
