People that aren't bigots?

It's not b*ll*cks when that term is often used in the pejorative sense. Or are you suggesting that sweaties is a term of endearment? I agree with your description of Sturgeon, however.
-
I remember when I used to really love seeing England win. Good result nonetheless.
-
Some truth in this but it matters not a jot who is leader of the party or indeed what their policy is. It's solely due to the fact that Westminster is tinged blue.
-
I'm certainly not suggesting that the overwhelming SNP victory was about wanting independence. Clearly it isn't otherwise the polls would be well over to the yes side. What I am saying is that if an SNP government (who's over-riding policy is for independence) request the right to hold a referendum then a Tory Westminster is on a hiding to nothing. Say no and alienate more Scots. Say yes and get blamed for gambling the union. Offering devo max isn't an answer to a yes or no question...Can we hold a referendum? It can be easily spun into a "no" for an anti-tory public.

Sepp Blatter considers "review of decsions"

Good idea, and past time to introduce it. No doubt some will see it as interfering unnecessarily, but I see no problem with it. Limited to once per half it'll not interfere significantly. Hopefully ensure a fairer outcome on a number of occasions. More often than not the review will turn on something that has led to a natural stop in play (throw in - goal - offside - foul). If it doesn't the ref just needs to be made aware of the appeal (buzz on his watch for example) and he decides when play can stop to review. If there's enough evidence in the review to overturn then do so, if not then the original decision stands. Easy. -
Damned if they do, damned if they don't. Can you imagine the compounded hatred north of the border if a referendum were refused after such a landslide victory for SNP?

Perhaps there's a more literal meaning to the name...one who professes Profess (verb): claim, often falsely, that one has (a quality or feeling)
-
tbf, the Scots are very good at blaming everything on the Tories, so no doubt the points raised by Pap have a certain level of accuracy if not truth.

You were aware of the fact that the price was not 3 for £5 for the 50% extra bottles before handing over your money. The BIS guidance would not assist you as you were fully informed before concluding the purchase. They have also seemingly done all they could to ensure you were aware of this on the shelf. You state yourself that the 3 for £5 bottles were in the chiller, the 50% free were in a cardboard stand. They are obviously running two different incentives (one of which is initiated by the manufacturer) and have done as much as possible to differentiate between the two. They may well both be described as OSH 500ml, but that does not make them the same product.

Forgive me if I'm misunderstanding this thread, but to summarise it seems people think the board have been angry boring bullies who have been employing classic troll methodology.

He probably could have made it even cheaper if he scanned three tins of beans. They are different offers on the same product.
-
It's been answered already I see, but Tesco haven't made a mistake. They are under no obligation to sell you anything, the price on the item is an invitation to treat, if you purchase the item, the contract isn't complete unless Tesco accept your offer to purchase it and they don't need to. Obviously they need to balance their rights against commercial impact however. I can see why you are arguing the point, but the offer is specific to the 100% bottles, rather than the 150% bottles and Tesco are perfectly entitled to do so. I presume the base price for both are the same? (ie if I purchase one bottle of the 100% it would cost the same as one of the 150% bottles). It's effectively having two separate offers on the same product. You can buy one bottle and get a free 50%, or you can buy three bottles and get it at a reduced price. Incidentally, the 50% extra is the better deal, even when purchased at full price.

Southampton whiz Harrison Reed gets senior England chance

Nice idea, sell on a couple of golden eggs in order to keep the goose. Then we can afford to keep the next lot. Unfortunately it relies on income being increased to ridiculous levels in order to compete in a few years when the next crop are ready and impressing. That's not going to happen, selling an extra few shirts will not make enough of a difference. -
The words I was referring to are that FF is first choice upon signing. Maybe should have said that he will be selecting the best keeper he has available. AB made ham-fisted noises that he wanted to leave after being told FF was taking his place. I'm not saying this was the way he should have reacted, but imho it was caused by the words chosen by Koeman. The difference I'm pointing out is that "not being given a chance" means he hasn't been selected yet. "Not being given the chance to fight for a place" means no matter what he does he will not be selected.
-
I think there's a very subtle difference between not being given a chance and not being given a chance to fight for a place. The latter suggests no matter what is done, the place is not open.
-
Saying that he hasn't been given a chance to fight for a place here. It's been fairly obvious that that's how he felt, but a bit discouraging to hear it said so unequivocally. I just can't see Koeman refusing to allow Boruc a place if he is genuinely better. I presume he is just on the naughty step just now after reacting badly to poorly chosen words by Koeman.

Is it just me or has there been an inordinately high number of loans this window? I don;t seem to remember so many deals being loans, maybe an impact of FFP?
-
Agree with this, Fonte should be starting. Boruc Clyne, Fonte, Gardos, Bertrand Schneiderlin Mane, Davis, JWP, Tadic Pelle
-
Between Forster and Tadic. Probably Tadic given the fact he was more desperately needed.
-
I don't think I was too far wrong saying 12th - 14th. I'd say 10th - 12th if pushed for an answer now, maybe with a good cup run. I think we're looking very good for creativity. Very interested to see how Tadic, Pelle, Mane and JRod (when he's back) work together. Could create a lot of problems for a number of defenses.
-
I've no idea...and that's a good thing. Choice and competition.

Wow, sell out it is then.
