Not a bad window at all. Seems a case of smoothing out the squad, giving more options and competition. Considering where we were a month or so ago, the club have really pulled it out the fire.

Hope he does well at Norwich. Deserves to be playing, he's been everything we could have hoped for. Excellent in getting Saints to the prem, just a real shame he seemed to struggle a bit after that.

Individual quality is arguably lower but the squad as a whole has the potential to be an improvement on last year. Need to make sure the team play as a team though and learn what to expact from the other players. Koeman has been thoroughly impressive and I prefer him to pochettino.

Didn't say i knew f*ck all about him just that i've seen very little of him, only a couple of times. He might have been uncharacteristically good or bad on those occasions.

From what I've seen (very little) a decent player, but a squad player. A scrappy player who will fight for the ball and can spot a decent ball through.

Might get a bit of playing time, but the quality of opposition is sorely lacking. Not sure if it will really benefit him if I'm honest. Better playing than not I suppose.

I can't seem to see that quote in the Daily Star article OP was talking about. People were quick off the mark in their scoffing...before the Mail article was posted. 'Suggests'...interesting word...and not actionable either which is useful for a paper open to litigation for printing falsehoods. I agree that the Mail quote does state Champs league as a target (tbh, I'm not a fan of the competition). But why bother playing if you don't have ambition?

No quote from Koeman mentioning champions league. Don't let that stop anyone from using it as a stick to ridicule him though.

Exactly. Never let facts get in the way of a fun headline though.

Everyone is entitled to react to a given situation however they want, be that ridiculously pessimistic or hopelessly optimistic. I guess if you're at one of the extremes you should probably prepare for ridicule when the sky doesn't fall / Saints don't win the superbowl.
