  1. I think it's fair to say that they are going to lose a chunk of current season ticket holders whatever price they come up with. With that in mind, maybe they need to get away from the idea of early bird renewals, and just have early bird prices open to all. The only way this club can start to grow again is to get 'new' people through the door, they can't rely on the current season ticket holders all the time. They've made this mistake for the past few years. The renewal prices have been great if you've already got a season ticket, but there was little incentive for people who didn't currently have an ST.
  2. Remember there's a further 17 point deduction if you don't come out of admin via a CVA. There's every chance we'd get that as well, next season.

    It's Snowing

Bright sunshine in Portsmouth now and most of the snow has melted.
  4. That all makes perfect sense, until you realise that the two transfers were totally unrelated. We sold Davies 10 days before we signed Pulis.
  5. They'd better get a move on, as it's just ****ing down with sleet/rain now, all the snow is just melting.
  6. Like I said, explain to me how? To save you the trouble, Lowe went because Wilde and Crouch bought a load of shares and used them to evict him. Simple as that.
  7. Ok, how about you explain exactly how the fans got rid of Lowe? Actual facts, not just feelings please.
  8. In what sense? They haven't won a match since November.
  9. Well that's definitely true, as those T shirts were sold in the club shop ie after Wilde was already in place. They were nothing to do with the fans, they were official club merchandise. As for the larger point, I don't think the fans had that much influence. I guess the discontent led a couple of people to realise that Lowe could be removed, but at the end of the day it wasn't the fans who bought the shares and voted at the AGM. Well, a few did, but you get my point surely.
  10. Going to London in a few weeks to see the Killers, and as it's my birthday a couple of days beforehand was thinking about going somewhere a bit 'posh' for lunch. It'll be a Monday lunchtime, any suggestions? I read somewhere that Gordon Ramsay at Claridges is much cheaper at lunchtime than in the evening, I assume the same applies elsewhere? Oh, and how soon will I need to reserve?
  11. His wages I expect.
  12. Now that we've got Saga back playing, I'm not sure Lupoli would have been right for us anyway. If we need anything, it's a big lump of a forward, in the Beattie/Howard vein.
  13. Washington is good if you like museums, and of course lots of military stuff around there which you might be interested in. Boston is a really nice city as well. Another option would be hop over to Canada and go to Toronto, which I loved. It's near Niagara Falls as well which is a must-see.
  14. Lots of the big operators, Virgin etc do split centre holidays. Were you thinking of somewhere else in that corner of America, like Boston, Washington, possibly Chicago, or further afield?
  15. You forgot Pericard. Easy mistake to make though.
  16. To be fair, our share price has never followed the FTSE trend. It's a very illiquid share, not much trading, and the majority of the shares are allied to large blocks.
  17. Yeah, because it's not like we've been trying to force him out or anything is it.............
  18. Did Adrian just make a bit of a fool of himself and strop off in a hissy fit?
  19. He's only been here a few weeks hasn't he? We haven't been scoring all season. Interesting though, I thought he used to be a defender.
  20. In which case we only needed to offer him the same amount he was on before. Which as that was an academy contract, can't have been very much at all. If he's on decent money now then Lowe ballsed up big-time, but I really can't see that being the case.
  21. Did anyone else actually hear this on Solent? I'm not going to jump on someone's back based on a 20 word precis of an interview. I'm assuming Crouch said something other than those few words?
  22. Could be that we are just holding out for higher offers than have currently been made. We are in a weak bargaining position, other clubs know this and are probably offering silly little offers for our players. We may find ourselves forced to accept these offers on the last day of the window.
  23. As I understood it, the meeting was during the day, JP quit late afternoon/early evening.
  24. This is quite good: http://www.mirror.co.uk/sport/football/2009/01/27/revealed-what-actually-goes-on-inside-harry-redknapp-s-head-picture-115875-21075131/
