Not sure what our chances are of having someone there. No-one even seems to know when it's taking place. Wouldn't be all that surprised if it's not even a 'press-conference' as such, more a case of giving a couple of interviews to the press. Will anyone other than the Echo even bother turning up?

I'd never buy an LCD without either reading good reviews or seeing it in action (or preferably both). Decent specs doesn't always translate to a decent TV.

Maybe we'll just have to agree to disagree. I'm fully supportive of any actions to bring shareholders together, but surely it's fair to voice my opinions on the way they go about it. There are presumably thousands of shareholders out there who don't read the Echo (or this site for that matter), those are people who could help this cause so surely efforts should be taken to reach out to them? Once again, I support fully the goals of this group.

Because you can't organise a significant event simply by saying 'here's my email address, contact me if you want more details'. What is the role of an 'organiser', if not to 'organise'?
