Defence was awesome liverpool only threatened on the break. Wanyama looked like the player I was expecting we signed. Lamber and Osvalsldo can't play together we need one stricker. Davis looked to hold it all together when he came on. Glad to see Cork get such a good reception. Someone please send Osvaldo some new boots these seem unlucky. Maybe when we play teams that park the bus we need cork as he can play and pass a bit more than Vic and let Wanyama excel when we have to fight more. JRod doesn't seem to shine when he can't interchange to become the focal point which doesn't happen when we play two up top. Good result good performance. I wonder if we will see much of Gaston this year when t his team plays like this. Lovern proved he has what it takes against the big boys which is the one thing I was waiting to know about him.

It wasn't that long ago they held the commonwealth games in Kuala Lumpur they did a pretty good job of it and didn't seem to have to many problems with it being a muslim country. So if they really wanted to put it in a muslim country south east asia would have been better, plus it is where all the Man U fans live. I was wondering how many stadiums they need and how that will work in a country with a small population. Or will they just use two.

World cups should be held in countries with sufficient size and infrastructure. There should be existing football culture or at least to support a country with an upcoming one. If you wanted a world cup in the middle east it should have been a bigger country although I can't think of a stable one. ... How are the shots of the female brazilian support going covered? Got to think crowds will be small, too expensive to visit to few population. F1 hasn't exactly had big crowds in the gulf. If they wanted corrupt money influencing the world cup they could always go to singapore or Thailand.

I wouldn't get too excited he has stopped the likes of WBA and sunderland, you know teams scoring for fun this year. We haven't faced a good attacking team yet. That is when we can say if he is a good defensive player or not. But I think we all see that his passing is not what we were expecting. My thoughts from the first game of the season was passing not good enough but maybe he is just getting used to where his team mates are at. But that becomes less of an excuse the more you play. If the passing stays like this till mid season we have been taken in.

Ok all the games we have palayed are hard, so how do we define the ones aginst teams with more resources at their disposal. Maybe very hard. Looking at the current table we haven't got points of teams that have had prolific starts to their season. So its fair to say that isn't a briliant start. So what happens when we do play against team with more resources. They are just going to magically let us score because they actually play football instead of cancel us out. Maybe they have the players to do both, score and cancel us.we are going to have an average season, we wil be doing ok if we are not in the relegation conversation, unless something changes. Everyone is trying to improve but it hasn't happened the way the signs were suggesting at the stadium. Hoping for mid table obscurity and a few good games. And we know it is serious when turkish is using his 50% quota of instructive and intresting posts. Although I am still waiting for Alpine to say we will be relegated except I now know he won't because he complained I suggested he was negative before. Rickie is not the player who is going to create and score all by himself and if that was the way Hodgson set up, you have the wrong stricker. Rickie is a team stricker for want of a better term, working with others to create and score goals. If those around him are not doing some of the work he will have a worse game. However he brings the best out of other players around him when they are up to the task. His pairing with Welbeck was great, infact that was the first England game where I thought Wellbeck looked like he belonged there. But Rickie is going to be the big man to hold up the ball if there is no one to offload it too once he gets it. This is probably just Hodgsons way of playing. At the Euros i could understand that mentality for the group stage but it was never going to get us through the knockout games.

I had to upgrade my package(extra $15), and there really is no extra channels except H2 that I would watch with the additional channels, to get the NBC sports channel so it does work out to be less than the sports package($13) and fox soccer plus ($15) but the package includes the NFL ticket which explains why it costs so much overall if I am not just thinking of how much the extra is to watch Saints.

The catch is how much my directv bill is. It includes all those extras I do not care about such as NFL ticket.

Sometimes I just think all the interchange play just leaves the players unsure where their teamates are at time and what they need to do. Especialy after all the subs, and I think this lack of shape was part of JRods problem.

Guly is the closest we have to a utility player, and it was Guly who restored balance to the team on the left when lallana was injured. He will only get chances when others are injured, but until some of the academy players are ready he has a role.

Directv, last week at least, on the Premier League extra time channels were reshowing these games 2 or 3 more times after it had finished so if you are watching another game you can tune into one of these to catch another game that was on at the same time. This is so much better than Fox soccer and soccer plus especially as the delayed kickoffs were not in HD on plus. The other issue was I missed one game last year because ESPN didnt show it on TV (and so I could not recorded it) and couldnt watch in on ESPN 360 at that time.

Good result today, we dominated most of the game, struggled a bit for clear chances. The goal should have been disallowed. Rodriguez was distracting the keeper after having been offside, wish the linesman had missed it though. Wannayana looked good but there were a few moments were he wasn't on the same wavelength as his teamates but that will come with game time. JWP is so much better at corners than what we had last year, we might get a few goals from these this year. Defence looked good but were not significantly tested by WBA for most of the game, but did the job when needed. Borucs save was as important as Rickeys penalty today. My stand out was JWP. Best signing of the summer was my new sofa and larger TV which made the experiende awesome.
