  1. Perhaps the solution for the offside debate would be requiring players' shirts to be different colours for parts that do count for offside to those that don't? So sleeves have to be different colours or whatever, would make drawing the lines easier.
  2. 0-2 to Watford, unthinkable a few months ago. Bournemouth are awful and nailed on to go down unless they shake things up soon.
  3. Callum Wilson surely needs to find a move soon, weren't Chelsea supposed to be interested? In a few months he's gone from England's #2 to fighting a relegation battle.
  4. That's because he's pulling it out of his ar*e.
  5. Still buzzing after this result. Slightly surprised about the uncertainty over our MOTM - clearly it was James Maddison, scored our first with a little help from Armstrong, set up Ings who hit the bar, and generally did sweet F.A. apart from take the free kick for Evans' disallowed goal
  6. Not sure it's as nailed on as we might think - 23 man squad is usually two for each position and three goalkeepers right? So with Kane out, I expect Rashford and Abraham would be above Danny in the pecking order, though you could make an argument that Rashford plays as a winger for England when Kane's on. I expect Ings will be in the squad for the friendlies but not the Euro squad unless Kane breaks again. JWP and McCarthy both have a good shout, and potentially Bertrand too though he's probably a bit old now.
  7. GTFI!!! Massive win and my turn to gloat to my father-in-law now!
  8. VAR is mostly working as intended and has improved the consistency of decisions on the pitch. People mostly have an issue with the millimetre offside decisions - and I agree. We will see this rule change over the summer I expect, as the issue is with the rule, not VAR.
  9. Surprised they're loaning him out, they have a bit of a full back shortage don't they? Never replaced Trippier in the summer - Aurier and KWP are their only recognised RBs, with Ben Davies (injured) and Danny Rose (awful) at LB. I suppose Mourinho is going to play a couple of games with CBs at full back and then complain that the board isn't supporting him and try to force them to buy him someone expensive and past it.
  10. Not sure Spurs will have any midfielders left if they let him go. No chance.

    Injury Watch

Watch Villa start to slide further down the table too due to injuries.
  12. I would agree that if you're not open to building your own, old-ish office machines are the way to go. You will get something with a powerful CPU that will last years for much cheaper than you could buy new otherwise. If you're going for a desktop, I'd suggest getting a smallish SSD to install Windows on and maybe your more frequently used programs, and then a large "traditional" HDD for your files. You can pick up a new 240GB SSD for around £25 and HDDs are getting cheaper all the time, maybe £50 for a 2TB hard drive. Installing a second hard drive is one of the easiest things you can do (put it in the cage and plug in two cables), and going from an HDD to an SSD is probably the biggest performance upgrade you can get in most PCs. If you find yourself doing a lot of video editing/encoding at high resolutions you may want to also pick up a dedicated graphics card, but probably not necessary if you're doing shorter clips at 1080p.
  13. 3 minutes with an SSD?? How much stuff have you got going on at boot? My desktop is getting on a bit and needs upgrading, still boots to login within 30 seconds easily.
  14. Vokins! Fantastic goal, very pleased for him to get his chance today, good decision by Ralph to play him. Hope we see him there next time Bertie's out - no more Hoj at LB!
  15. No, he says things like these deliberately. He is the best manager in the world at taking attention off his team's poor performances by saying or doing something to grab the headlines - did it all the time at Man U when they were struggling. It just usually doesn't start until much further into a job.
  16. Massive win, we were great, they were awful, should have won by more if not for Mike Dean who had a shocker. All of a sudden we're up to 11th!
  17. What on earth is that team? Guess we don't want to score.

    Danny Ings

Had my doubts especially after injuries last season, but he's looking like a brilliant buy. Compared to £40m for Joelinton - Ings is an absolute bargain. How nice is it to have a striker that can score goals again??
  19. I think it's going to be hard to call the line-up - three games in eight days for a high-pressing side will take its toll. Just please, Valery in for Cedric. At least we get an extra day to prepare compared to Newcastle.
  20. Oh and should mention Shane Long - did his job very well and made sure Norwich always had something to worry about.
  21. Absolutely huge win, unbelievable that we are now one point behind twelfth. Should have been a lot easier that it was... but then, that wouldn't be The Southampton Way Big improvements tonight from JWP and Hoj, Bertrand solid and Djenepo and Ings did well up top. Redmond looks like he needs a rest, maybe he will get it at Newcastle if Boufal is back. Stephens at fault for a goal yet again, but we can all agree we look much better back four than back five. Special mention to Cedric who had one of the worst second-half performances I've seen from a defender and definitely didn't want us to win that game. Horrific passing and crossing under no pressure, chasing long balls into the Norwich box with 2 minutes left, and getting absolutely rinsed by Hernandez despite him doing the same "stand-it-up-and-head-for-the-byline" routine all game. Norwich missed two gilt-edged chances that came from Cedric's mistakes. But still - two home wins in a row is outstanding, a win's a win and I don't much care how they come! Bring on Newcastle!
  22. Jesus I could play RB better than Cedric. Hernandez has gone to the byline EVERY TIME and still getting done
  23. Jesus that was close
  24. Absolutely bricking it. Cedric is absolutely infuriating, chasing hopeless balls into their box.
  25. Can't remember the last time we dominated so much and actually well in the lead on the scoreboard too. Careful Ralph - we could get used to this!
