Half quick? Pretty sure he's been statistically the fastest player in the squad for the last few years and I seem to remember around Sept/Oct last year he'd recorded the top speed in the league.

He'll get a good few assists for them, good signing for Villa but they are definitely overpaying. Sounds like we've got a ready-made replacement in Vokins too. Good luck Matt!

Think most United fans would happily pay double that to get Ashley Young out of the side. Just need a useful CB and they might actually have a competent defence.

Lampard will be a disaster for them, they either won't want to sack him when it goes wrong and they'll get dragged down further, or they will sack him and be branded ruthless, not respecting a club legend, etc. etc.

How much were they banking on promotion this season? Surely Mr. Mouse won't have bought the club with designs of sitting in Division 3 forever, I wonder how their finances are doing now. I've seen a few Pompey fans expecting to see a couple of their better players being sold to Championship sides.

Congrats to them both, fully deserved and both have been a big part of our survival. Can't see them both being kept after the squad is trimmed down but depends on injuries and "injuries" to other players. Personally I'd trim Delph, Trippier, Barkley and Lingard ahead of either but Southgate, after some early promise, seems to enjoy sticking with the big teams' players even if they have a bad season, so fully expect the players from Saints and Bournemouth to be canned.

Like them all apart from the home kit, do we know if the backs are plain yet?

So the Newcastle kids have to go from Newcastle to Liverpool and back again, then Newcastle to Southampton within 4 days of the final, our boys have to go... down the road to St Mary's. Hope that works in our favour!

Is he a good finisher though? The times I've watched him play he seems to need 3-4 attempts to get it on target.

Agree that the price rise is crazy especially considering the quality of football for the last few years. Big fan of the new 18-25 price bracket - I'm just in that for next season!
