Post-Match Reaction: Swansea 0-1 SAINTS
Pastor Patrón replied to Saint-Armstrong's topic in The Saints
Great result, it'll be interesting to see how we approach the United game. Lallana, Shaw and Lambert will probably be bricking it about getting an injury -
Don't sass me b#tch.
-
Pretty much. It's not something the club would want to put out into the public and is the only explanation I can think of.
-
Maybe it's related to the heart problems he had a few years ago?
-
Lallana needs to step up and start scoring again.
-
Why don't clubs ever get non sports brands to make their shirts? They'd sell so many more if it was actually something mildly fashionable that you could wear everyday. I'd happily rock a Balmain or Margiela saints shirt, no one older then 13 wears cr#p like Umbro or Adidas.
-
I'd have thought Cork would be the one going forward not Schneiderlin. Would've been nice to see Ward Prowse get a start, he needs more game time.
-
They would know the context but it doesn't mean they wouldn't twist it to make it a more interesting story. They could've just as easily been saying we'd done well this year having been a record breaking season and asked what the goals were for next year, whether we can improve etc. Especially considering he then goes on to talk about that and there are no quotes about our players.
-
Nope, but that's what I mean, it's impossible to read into the part about players without hearing the whole thing. If you read the quotes on it's own it doesn't mention us selling players, the Sky bits just put it in that context.
-
You'd need to hear the whole interview, in the context of that quote on it's own it could quite easily be referring to incoming players, as in he can't say he's pushing for Champions League etc until he's knows what his budget is. It seems as much that, and they've written around it because anything with Shaw or Lallana's name on makes it more interesting at the minute.

Walker out of World Cup, room for Clyne?
Pastor Patrón replied to Golac's Iron Gonads's topic in The Saints
He's had a cr@p season and isn't even a first team regular, why on Earth would he go to the WC? -
In what way does it even imply that? He doesn't give any uncertainty about his future whatsoever
-
This pretty much confirms he staying IMO http://www1.skysports.com/football/news/11661/9294394

Positive Lallana comments expressed just 4 months ago

You don't think we could afford to give him a huge pay rise if we wanted to keep him? It doesn't seem out of the question for a top 8 team to pay 60/80k on their star players, if we expect to keep players like Shaw and Lallana without paying them that then it's the club that's being unreasonable not the players. -
Gallagher's a bit pants, Reed looks handy from the ten mins or so I saw of him though
-
How many do you think will be sold if any?
Pastor Patrón replied to Barry Sanchez's topic in The Saints
TBF it directly contradicts what the club has repeatedly said. Some players may be open to offers but I completely believe the club when they said they've not received a single offer, so clearly no one has agreed to leave. -

I hadn't seen that, thanks for bumping it you dreary c#nt. -
No, imo he plays deliberately deep because he doesn't have the confidence in himself to score as many as he did. He doesn't seem to have that killer edge and usually seems to opt to try and set someone else up instead of shoot.
-
We don't score because we have no strikers and Lambert plays too deep, it's nothing to do with possession.
-
If we could afford it when we were in League 1 it can't be that expensive.
-
It seems today, that all you see are rapists at united, love rats at chelsea where are those good old fashioned centre backs on which we used to rely dejan lovren southamptons tough guyyyyy aaaand so forth.
-
Yeah but not to the same extent, transfer fees maybe but no way wages will jump that much
-
At the same time though Sky money is twice as high this season or something stupid, would the increase not cover our relatively small debt? We definitely come across as one of the more financially secure teams in the league.
