I'm not English, but the idea that non-Liverpool football fans should be thrilled for them because they're English strikes me as totally mental. Yes they're obviously a very good side, but watching them win anything wouldn't give me any warm fuzzy feelings.

Why can't middle aged - or older - men see how ridiculous they look when they're yelling at other fans and making tossing gestures. Yes this would apply to more than a few Saints fans as well.

Why on earth would the players NOT go and acknowledge the fans who probably travelled up shelled out solid coin to watch their team put in a performance. Yes the result was disappointing, but that's no reason to snub supporters.
