Macclesfield Town at home please.

Brendan Rogers.... give me a spell. If you accept there was ever even a time he might take a job like Southampton, you'd have to be certifiable to think that time is now.

Puel got us to another 8th place finish, and a cup final. His big mistake was not getting out of the group stages of the Europa, which was absolutely criminal no matter how you slice it. Had he done that, or had we defended Ibrahimovic better at Wembley, there's no way he would have been sacked. He was given an attacking force of Austin, Long and a cocked Jrod up front, and instead of providing him with a truly decent striker, the club brought in Redmond and Boufal. Hindsight and all that, but had the club backed him properly when it was needed, things could very well be quite different now.

Why can't we hold a lead for more than a few seconds? As soon as we let them score right after our penalty it was clear we were never going to win. Why isn't MH addressing this repetitive issue?

****ing useless bunch of ****ing clowns can't ****ing defend JWP you weak little runt **** off the lot of you bunch of useless ****ing ****s. #relegationfc

Believe he's on holiday somewhere, judging by his twitter.
-
Well now you've jinxed it. Well done.
-
Indeed. If only we could play Rennes, Breda, or Sepsi week in week out.
-
I don't even care anymore. Only reason I might even bother to watch some is I have to get up at 3am for work anyway.
-
Yeah... but the bond wasn't so strong.

He runs pretty quick?? Honestly everytime he uses his head in the opposition's area it's going to cost us a goal. Today he just knocked the ball up and ran away. What REALLY ****ed me off though was that ridiculous pot shot from 40 yards in the last few minutes when we needed to keep posession. Players aren't known for being the brightest lot, but he seems exceptionally thick. PEH..... that was gross. Decent games from Redmond and Lemina. Elyounoussi didn't do a lot. Long did what Long does. Austin just banked his match fee/beer money. #RelegationFC

He's done absolutely nothing wrong at all. Has actually also been good at getting the ball into the feet of Redmond and Hojbjerg. Some good passing from the back. All the same I expect us not to score, and then concede some sort of garbage winner in the last 15 minutes.

Basically most years of our existence except for a couple.
-
Yeah we should get rid now if he can't deal with those trundlers.
-
Agreed. Heaps in the post match forum suggesting he was awful from start to finish, but I reckon he had an ok game. Certainly no more awful than the rest for the first 30 minutes or so. One weird header that allowed Lennon in, but aside from that seemed solid enough to me. Better than a lot of showings from last season certainly.

Vestergard is already looking like a huge upgrade on the two blokes either side of him.
-
Win those 20 and I honestly will not care about the other 18.
-
Might as well get rid of all my negativity now, so I can be pleasantly relieved down the track. Southampton, Huddersfield, Cardiff.
-
If and when he runs out in a Saints shirt I will be wishing and hoping for goals goals goals. Until then I'll continue to be a somewhat underwhelmed by the whole premise of this deal.

On paper a better option than Carillo I guess. Not sure it's going to improve us very much though. People recover from knee issues all the time. It's a matter of luck as much as anything else. Some just don't seem to have any. An AFL player here had his first game in almost six years on the weekend, after five knee reconstructions. That takes commitment.

Charlie will ping a hammy midway through the Saturday's 1st half, and Gabbiadini will continue to make excellent runs to good spots, only for the rest of the team to ignore him. And Shane Long will continue to be Shane Long. Here's hoping Gallagher blossoms.
-
I would rather an upgrade on Shane Long thank you very much.

Yeah being allowed to **** off to a massive club after a dozen or so 1st team games is the sort of thing that would really sting for years.
