What's the point of any PR stunt/campaign. Just thinking about all that anger directed at the leaked shirt from most people on here ( I actually don't mind it) , and how that might change if they have indeed pulled off some sort of bait and switch. If they pull out an incredible sash kit tomorrow, the attitude towards UA could change dramatically. Would that necessarily translate to shirt sales? Probably not. It's a small target audience anyway. But they benefit from the soft marketing that comes with being seen as willing to play along with a long-con to create discussion and interest in the product. They can point to it later as an example of being different/creative etc. I still presume the kits we've seen will be the release ones, but I'm not ruling out the possibility of this all being a huge PR stunt. If it is, they'll have crunched all sorts of figures to decide if it worth the effort. That's just an opinion. Your's may differ.

It probably is the leaked shirt, but there is nothing on the UA website. Not since the original "leak" was pulled off. And why wouldn't they be in on it? Viral marketing works just as well for massive corporations as it does for football clubs.

I don't hate the home effort, although the detail around the badge is awful. I won't be buying it in any case. And that away kit looks really good, so I have doubts it's legit. If it is real I might consider getting it next year when they're flogged off at the end of season as we prepare a new kit for our Europa League/Championship run.

SO many people are saying it.

Summer 2018 - Other teams Manager/transfer business

Without the excitement. Bit like how we finished 8th, because everything below them was absolute crap. -
An upgrade in every way then.

Could probably do this trip for just over AUD$1000 for three days. Roughly £570. Flights are simple enough and I imagine accommodation wouldn't be much of an issue. Getting a match ticket would be the only issue. Well that and my missus would surely divorce me if I tried to do it.
-
I was not referring to the kit.

Tedious.

All in the eye of the beholder as the say. Personally I reckon it's not bad.

City average a bit under 3 a game, and Swansea average a bit under 1 a game. I'm going to put myself out there and say there will not be a 10 goal swing. But I may have a bet on it happening just in case.
-
Yeah that's what I was referencing, although I have no real idea. I would like him to stay though. Not the greatest player but a great pro and bloke.
-
Not suggesting that. Just saying I would prefer the club to make sure it goes through a proper process and appoints the best manager to take us forward. Perhaps that is Hughes, and he should certainly be capable of ensuring this squad (or what's left of it) has a more comfortable season next time round. But I'd rather the board did things with its head than its heart. Not that they've done a lot of great work lately anyway.

No need to apologise.

Still a lot of permutations, but I don't think City will necessarily be out to tear us one on Sunday. And I don't see Swansea scoring anything like what they would need too in order to trouble us. In fact I reckon Stoke will take them for at least a point and they'll be relegated. I would enjoy seeing Huddersfield stay up, which may not be the majority view. But they've done pretty well all things considered.

Sounds like Maya will be off and I for one wish him well. I doubt we will sell Hoedt under any circumstances, so people clamouring for that should probably adjust their expectations. In time he'll probably get to the level needed. I reckon Bednarek has shown some too. Like everyone else though I would like at least one competent CB who can act as an organiser and leader. I do not want Stephens in the back four at all. He can't head the ball which is a bit of an issue for that position. Perhaps he can be moved up into central midfield as a replacement for Davis whose time has surely come and gone. Boufal is obviously gone and I will shed no tears for him. I don't think we'd get rid of Redmond AND Long except for crazy offers. Given the rumours about Rogic at Celtic I could see that happening. That would see at least one of Long or Austin gone. I think Long has come as far as he can for us, and Austin is never fit for long enough so take your pick. Obviously there's lots more to be done, but I think we should wait until Monday before we get carried away.

As good a job as he has done SO FAR, it's not yet finished. And I would prefer the club did due diligence on other potentially better options as well.

Can breathe again. Reckon my face turned blue in that last 10 minutes,

It's going to be an awful thing to watch one way or the other. And it'll definitely be the last game I watch this season as well. Will be on a plane to Singapore when the Man City match kicks off, and won't land until about three hours after it ends. Don't think I will cope if I have to be worrying about that result.
-
Touche. I will stay comfortable in my pessimism though if it's all the same.

Tough one. Swansea were a total non-event against Bournemouth. They didn't show up, and they didn't even look like showing up. In short, they are crap. Given how crap Bournemouth were against us, you'd think it'd bode well. But we can't beat crap teams when we need too, because we're crap too. I expect us to lose.

Bertrand is the team captain? What a ****ing joke that is.
-
I reckon there'd be some legit concerns about Cedric routinely getting to the byline and delaying his crosses into the box until it's too late. Goalies around the league are afraid he's causing too many goal kicks.

He'll love playing on a cold Wednesday night in Preston.
