Redmond good defensively but Christ he's annoying in attack. Lazily waits for the pass from Tadic (I think) on the edge of their box while under no pressure. Could have stepped into it and leathered it. Bertrand's miss seemed poor as all he needed to do was round Cech and roll it in. I thought we defended superbly, helped a bit by their ****ing about. Can't say they didn't earn their goal though. JWP probably too buggered to close down Sanchez at the end. Another point.

Davis to Hoedt to Romeu back to Hoedt. It was the first pass that created the problem. Davis had options forward. Hoedt had only Romeu who was closed down and then went back to Hoedt, who did the rest. Davis didn't even look to go forward, just did the easy backwards thing. Which is probably why Pied was so far out of position, because he was going forward waiting for a ball that never came.

Pretty sure you'll find graceless fans on any forum. Especially this one. Mind you if they honestly expect teams to attack them every week they are kidding themselves. There's probably to or three sides on the planet that could realistically go toe to toe with City. Any team that gets anything off them at all - regardless of how - deserves it.

Close maybe. I think maybe Lemina for me. I've been among the more patient with Redmond, but I think he has finally lost me. Long - frustrating and useless as he can be - will and did work his arse off to get up and back and link in other players. I would rather he was next to Gabbiadini. And it should have been Gabbiadini instead of Austin, because he would have kept Ederson slightly more alert than he ended up being in that last little bit. Sigh.

No way there was five minutes to be added on. Just bull****. So many positives to take out of that effort even with the result, but gee it's hard to feel it right now.

Don't be fooled. We have struggled to score all season. It's an objective fact. If we start banging in four a game for a while, then you can argue things have changed.
