  1. I'd imagine the story of how a young Japanese footballer finds himself playing in Europe, and then becomes Japan's longest serving EPL player, could be a semi-decent read. Maya has scored more EPL goals than any other Japanese player, although Okazaki is sure to overtake him soon enough. I'll be getting his book for sure.
  2. Tadic tried desperately to miss that.
  3. The 11th
  4. A tour of China in and of itself is perfectly reasonable I would have thought. I agree it would be nicer if we didn't have so many other unanswered questions.
  5. Let's not go nuts. He's not selling poisoned milk to schoolchildren. He's just a lazy ***** uninterested in his job.
  6. We absolutely must win, so obviously we won't. Expect a tepid goalless draw, or some garbage defending to concede from a set piece in the 70th minute or so. Put us all out of our misery so we can start planning for the Championship.
  7. Pretty crap really. Don't think any of them could claim to have been above poor for the most part. We can point to the non-goal and their keeper making some saves, but the selection was all a bit dodgy. PEH, OR, and ML was overkill, and they weren't able to link up with Shane or Charlie I thought. Our defence.... ugh. Have to say the more I see of Bednarek the more I wonder why we signed Hoedt instead of a genuine CB. The Polish lad has more grit and more desire. City now turning over Swansea merely keeps alive our futile hope of league survival, but what's the point.
  8. From memory Monk is generally regarded as ITK for the most part...
  9. Obviously....
  10. Bad news for anyone who thought that half was bad. We have to play into the wind in the second half. I reckon we'll lose by at least two goals.
  11. They had a fairly average squad... which is not to say ours is brilliant. But most of us have been arguing the line that this squad is too good to be relegated with a decent manager. Now we might find out if that's the case. Although I think we're about 12 games too late.
  12. It'll be someone to see out the season at most. Silva the obvious name. Can't see him staying longer anyway. Would love O'Neil long-term... If we stay up.
  13. And then some.
  14. I reckon Shaqiri has more aggression and willingness with the ball, and probably a better range of passing. But Tadic perhaps with more ability to create in tighter spaces. He is definitely still the most creative player we have, and the one likely to bring others into play.
  15. Win would be nice. Draw would be not ideal. A loss means relegation.
  16. It appears to be lost on some that Sims was already getting ready to come on before they scored, meaning MP had already opted for a change. He would have come on if that ball had have gone out of play no matter what. Unfortunately it went in the net instead. Still very much in the Pellegrino out camp obviously, but it's clear he's going nowhere until the end of the season. If then.
  17. This is the thing though. I think he has come good. As good as he's going to be. Which for us in this situation was never going to be enough. That's not his fault. Can't blame him for wanting to up his pay packet and I have no issues with his efforts on the pitch. And I'll keep wishing him well and hoping he can bang some goals in at some point, knowing it's statistically unlikely. But whatever it was we needed to buy in January, he's not it.
  18. Bit bloody drab isn't it.
  19. Can they be Liverpool fans?
  20. Rightio then.
  21. This bloke or Hazard.
  22. One cup please sirs.
  23. Currently listed as being march 18th. I take it that's likely to change?
