I feel like something fishy is going on with regards to the Wembley criteria- maybe they don’t want people buying for the sake of it. Maybe there will be a strict allocation then who knows

Two games against Chelsea, which is more important?
nta786 replied to OttawaSaint's topic in The Saints
cup. chelsea home game is one where im expecting 0 points anyway, a free hit per-say, so yeah cup. I think cup fixture being second kind of hinders it a little bit however, as I do not want us to go into that cup game on the back of a 3-0 league defeat for example. -
Last seasons criteria means you would be last person on pecking order
-
Brilliant to think what one win does for a fan. We have a lot still to do, and I’m sure Hughes is under no illusion. Arnautovic etc would have capitalised on those first half chances that Wigan squandered. However, I am backing us to get 8 to 10 pts now, compared to the 3-4 I predicted if we had Pellegrino still.

If club really wanted to maximise money now they should open memberships up again and charge £50 a pop
-
runners up no longer get european place. and by 'we' does he mean Leicester- because if they finish 7th then yes they will most likely get a European place if United or Spurs or Chelsea win it.
-
not same week, but you mean in the same month? watford we played in league on 13th january then in cup on 27th january wba played on 3rd feb then in cup on 17th chelsea will be same but above two had a PL game sandwiched in between both.
-
never general sale. will be same as last season- my only wish is that they count away games the same as home games, because i've got far more away games than home games. also very interesting to see that you cannot buy memberships anymore!

'****s us at Coventry and now he's going to Wembley. Takes the p***.' stoke fans not impressed
-
this exactly for the reasons above. I do feel like we could have got a point against Chelsea at Stamford Bridge too- Austin missed a good chance and they needed a set piece to break us down. Mourinho is annoying cos he just grinds it out in the latter stages of competitions, but Spurs most dangerous for me if Kane is fit.
-
no of course they wouldn't.
-
get off at Wigan stattion at 1254 due to delays can i just say mr hughes you've already won me over with that line up come on saints lets fuc*ing have them!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
-
yeah its been confirmed obviously that there will be no Spurs branding, and obviously both teams get an equal distribution of tickets. The issue for me is that Spurs have had a whole season to acclimatise to Wembley stadium, and whilst pitch dimensions etc is the same and all that other crap, it is still a slight advantage for them. In essence, they really should win the competition this year.

1992/93 ligue 1. league winner is unattributed best example i can think of that is vaguely related.
-
we beat them 1-0 at home that season? the one where yoshi scored? the 2015-16 season?
-
it is a disgrace in my opinion that we did not beat any of the newly promoted teams this season at least once. 5 draws and a defeat.
-
well you know what they say- there is a first for everything.
-
ouch. hope the club help you with that one! with examples such as your and I'm sure there are plenty of fans who have had this in past- even if they were to refund you say £100, that would be peanuts for the average PL footballer.
-
I thought as long as there is a 72 hour gap between games it is okay? ffs, luckily it's only Arsenal and not a Manchester/northern team so train fares couldn't fluctuate for me anyway, but still annoying as I was rather looking forward to a game under the lights in London!
-
@Saint-Armstrong, thank you for the write up, much appreciated.
-
yeah 100%, hence why in general, the best players in the world tend to be the fastest. again, being fast is no good however if you do not have the intelligence, which is where Redmond falls short.

video not working for me, says playback error.

What "first Saints manager to..." does Hughes have?
nta786 replied to Bad Wolf's topic in The Saints
nope! http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/eng_prem/4177037.stm correct. Pellegrino played for Liverpool in that game! -
Well, Les Reed can be seen smiling here, and more interestingly on his desk, it says ‘WIGAN ATHLETIC OPPOSITION DOSSIER’. I gather the feeling Pellegrino turned a blind eye to those- hopefully Hughes will get us suitably prepared for this Sunday!
