  1. he left for the money pure and simple i'm guessing here, but I do reckon the club did offer him a contract extension, but he probably wanted £80k whereas we offered something far less, and the Utd rumours clearly made him think he was far better than he genuinely is and then obviously, he was never gonna say to WHU fans, 'I am here for the cash', thus used family as an excuse. Good luck to him in China, can't say I'm not surprised it didn't work out for him at WHU.
  2. technically we did win the Watford away game but yeah 6 wins in 27 doesn't help the cause any better tbh
  3. the bloke had just played in the CL final last season. Honestly I was shocked when we signed him and you can tell when the guy wants to he is a class above all our players.
  4. well he got Alaves to a final!
  5. ^^^
  6. genuinely the biggest pi*stake- have never wanted to know more when a fixture will take place.
  7. no we would be seen as a premier league team winning it- hence why they say Wigan's was the first time ever a Premier League team got relegated and won it.
  8. http://www.cockneylatic.co.uk/forum/5-cockney-latic-main-forum/117257-southampton-game this guy reckons Sunday kick off at 1430
  9. no Saints player would ever make an all-time XI in all of football history that has played for us
  10. I genuinely think all 4 games are equally as good as each other (or at least 3 of them- the inevitable Swans vs Spurs clash would have been my choice for fourth pick), hence why the BBC and BT probably taking their time to announce it, much to the annoyance of us fans who actually need to prepare for these trips. FA should do something though as the draw was 4 days ago now and the last game concluded 2 days ago.
  11. well without certain conditions and assumptions then we would have all the same unanimously agreed decision
  12. given my age and the fact I am a 'young supporter', I have seen relegations, promotions, point deductions, Europa League- but a major trophy win I have not. I would take this FA Cup win coupled with relegation all day long. Also offers another stab at Europa League! HOWEVER, given the teams left in the tournament still, it is still a very tall order and I don't think Wigan away will be as easy as the bookies and others might make it out to be!
  13. tbf it isn't as bad as people are making out it will be- it's been confirmed there will be no more Spurs specific advertising with everything on the day should Spurs progress be neutral for both teams. Also both teams will be given same seating allocation and there will also be a toss to confirm which team gets the 'home' dressing room (so may not be Spurs anyway).
  14. surely that shouldn't make a difference! with pompeys current predicament there won't be that many going to Oldham surely and also, surely there is no risk of any brawls anyway as Wigan and Oldham are still about 30 miles away from each other! As others have said, Friday can be ruled out. I think it will be on the sunday personally, but to those saying this game will be first pick for broadcasters, I would have thought the Chelsea/Leicester game and United/Brighton game take further precedence given the involvement of two of the top 6 clubs.
  15. I pray that the game is on a Saturday so that I can go! Wish they would let us know by now so I can book travel ffs
  16. Wish they can confirm this fixture so i can book my train tickets ffs
  17. I'd play this myself, no idea what goes on in training but here goes: McCarthy Cedric Hoedt Stephens Bertrand Lemina Romeu JWP Tadic Sims Carrillo Bench: FF, Mcqueen, Maya, Long, Gabbiadini, PEH and Boufal Think they are only team on worse form than us, could be wrong but they haven't won in like 10 games I don't think. I think this is one we do really need to win and capitalise on, I feel like every 2 games we need to be picking up 3/4 points mininum now.
  18. feel like it is happening a lot more these past few seasons- look at league cup this year, then fa cup last year. also maybe I have my saints tinted glass on too much but i still feel sky sports desperately tried to make a united vs liverpool league cup final that we didnt oblige in giving!
  19. really? i'm fully expecting pellegrino to play, on the day that is- Davis, JWP, Tadic and Long as our attacking 4, with Romeu and PEH holding!
  20. yes correct, but would have taken any other game tbh- this fixture is the worst we could have got considering we were just one game away from Wembley! now our hopes of Wembley basically over.
  21. nope- it was from last season they removed replays for the quarter final. Also because they removed replays for this stage of the cup, it is why they call it quarterfinals now whereas it used to be called the sixth round.
  22. also funny the same thing happened in the league cup too! glad bristol city shat on that parade tho when they beat United. let's pray that can be us when we beat City. It would also be very rewarding if we were to win this and be the ones stopping City from winning another trophy.
  23. well the worst possible tie ffs- unless Wigan can pull of the miracle that we certainly won't. then again, maybe pellegrino will set them out to defend in numbers, we contain them and then as there is NO replay, we beat them on penalties.
  24. Nah it usually happens- dominate first 30 minutes and then sit back!!
  25. I’m a bit smashed in Birmingham right now, but we will ****ing win 4-2 mate!!!! I can’t wait for 3pm tomorrow! Let us fuc*ing have them!
