  1. we sold out our 2800 allocation. crazy we didn't take the extra 2/3k imo, would have only cost us around £40/50k which is peanuts in football, and also allow us to take as many up as possible. also leaves them with less seats in the Smethwick end, which is mainly where their hardcore fans are.
  2. apparently the 4 players were drinking until 6am and stole a taxi back to their hotel and by steal, it wasn't running away from paying a fare, but actually stealing the genuine car itself IF true, absolutely hilarious. Come on Saints, win tomorrow and one more round and we're going to Wembley in what has otherwise been a horrible season!
  3. Exactly- best way to create the brand is success ON the pitch. Simples.
  4. I've literally had another theory- what if we aren't sacking Pellegrino in order to seem like a club who doesn't constantly hire and fire? I mean from the outside and a managers perspective- it doesn't look good for a club to constantly sack a man every three months if we aren't in the top 10. It does also echo some of the stuff Pellegrino comes out with in his pressers, like when he says 'the club has been nice to me, very supportive of me' or when he said something about Krueger offering support to him [Pellegrino]. I reckon the board are making him say that though to make us look good again- or to simply feed Reed's ego. Therefore, maybe we are just taking a massive gamble and will try to ride the season out in order to look good to prospective managers for the summer (which is when I guess Pellegrino will go- I fear 4 months too late by then if we go down). However, whilst the sentiment with the theory above, to me it just seems like we are rewarding mediocrity. We really should have rid of him after the Palace debacle, or even the Leicester game. I'm sure he is a lovely guy, just tactically inept for the PL.
  5. Yeah agreed. Even if Gao never bought us and Kat still owned we would be in the predicament we are I feel tbh. A mixture of poor management- which comes down to recruitment for both manager and players alike. Also you can just tell our players are so low on confidence and morale that our players are not functioning the way we have seen previously.
  6. exactly! and what would be the aim if we were to go into the championship? to go and get promoted again!! so to the ppl who says premier league football is overrated/full of pampered footballers.... well yes it is... but that is exactly where any club wants to be- ask any championship/football league clubs that.
  7. unfortunately football doesn't work the way you have written. I am still in the Pellegrino out boat, but there is no one that is available on that short term basis. My personal opinion is that, given we did not sack him a while ago, are gonna attempt to ride out the season with him before employing another 'foreign manager'/taking another stab at trying to find another 'Pochettino'. Yes it is a major risk, but think Reed is so up his ar*e he's gonna pray this works- and if we do go down, there will no doubt be more sh*t coming out of his ar*e about how we will look to bounce back straight away and we fans will probably buy it too. it is a shame that since promotion, to finish 14, 8, 7, 6, 8 and then get relegated, thus throwing away 7 years of hard work in the space of 15 months due to negligence and incompetence. mental
  8. nah nah, he gave himself a promotion
  9. The Vine is a good pub to go to, also like some in the Jewellery Quarter. As for free parking, I cannot say much but could always park in Birmingham and get a train or something- don't know much about that one!
  10. oh the whole city would suffer as a result of relegation- think of revenues lost for pubs, hotels, restaurants, cafes etc etc
  11. i'd like to see les reed try and sell pellegrino on
  12. 9 seats left in total now. buzzing for it despite today. lets make a good atmosphere like we did back on the 3rd of feb
  13. we look so bereft of ideas it is unreal.
  14. our next home game is in March as well now!
  15. hoedt ffs there- first one when he couldn't control leminas pass and then he literally got his feet in a twist for their goal
  16. all part of the experience. there is always at least 1 that gets offended by anything and everything.
  17. Nah we don’t need an app- I would love to see a SAINTSFCTV though A bit like MUTV maybe- but I’d pay for a Saints one.
  18. For me personally, get train to New Street, walk to Moor Street station (about 5-6 minute walk), then theres trains every 10 minutes to The Hawthorns- easy access- but also on the way, can get off at Jewellery Quarter- very nice pubs there.
  19. He also chooses the amount of time added on in injury time- no doubt it’ll be 5/6 if Liverpool a goal down!
  20. The power of drawing a game- helps neither teams!
  21. 2-1 now to saints. mcqueen scored a free kick, mind you though, keeper should have saved that.
  22. He was a Tottenham fan too I believe. Anyway, best wishes for the future!
  23. In this order: 1) Lallana- our captain and was bitterly disappointed for him to act the way he did especially after signing mew contract just the year before 2) Lovren- you just cannot say ‘my head is in Liverpool’ whilst we are paying you and under contract, you cvnt- went about it the wrong way 3) VVD- the general drop in attitude and motivation to play for us was evident, but not as bad as above 2 I suppose- and we got world record fee that softens blow a little bit ——————— As for Mane, Clyne- all played for us at 100% and didn’t make too much of a fuss- wish we got more for both though- obviously Clyne’s was understandable given it was last year of contract- and I would have preferred £40-£45m for Mane, but those 2 more lie towards Reed for not convincing either of them- but again Liverpool are a bigger club so understandable if they could not be convinced Lambert- no one can hate the guy for going Liverpool- reasons are obvious.
  24. their stadium. tbf this is a whole new debate itself- is it trophies, fan following, PL status, money, the general history of the club such as how long they've been in top flight- lots of variable factors that will affect what ppl think is the biggest 10 clubs in the country. http://www.skysports.com/football/news/11096/10881263/ultimate-league-reveals-liverpool-are-englands-top-team-followed-by-man-utd-and-arsenal this would suggest us as 11th for example
  25. We lost to Palace- that was our first game this year!
