*facepalm* Ofc we want regular Europe, get our name on the map and love it as a fan. I understand the gist if your post- but what are you implying for next season- that if we finish say 6th next season we give up that Europa spot so we can try and finish hugh again the following season??? Basically give up the reward from the hard work? So yes we do want europa every season- also signifies that we have had a successful season- (either top 6/7 or we won a cup)

I'm pretty sure we did have Lambert, Lallana, Shaw and Jay Rod all in same squad! I went to the England vs Germany game at Wembley in 2013 (where Mertesacker scored the winner), and fairly sure all of them was in squad that night! I remember being immensely proud that day- even wore my Saints top over my England one- now to think of where these players are EDIT: Shaw may have been injured I think

tbf what I have noticed is our results have been poorer against those teams with target men strikers- our losses since VVD injury has been to WHU (Carroll), Swansea (LLorente), United (IBRAHIMOVIC), whilst the Sunderland game had Defoe, who admittedly had poor service tbf to him, and Watford game was just poor defending all around anyway, but still... I'd back our defence to do better against Son than Kane. Also involves Forster not screwing up anything.
